Heritage Tree Care came out to trim my 43 year old oak tree today. I planted with my fater in 1982 and it is very important to me. The communication before the job was very clear and the price affordable. I really like that Langston is an actual Certified Arborist. I learn that a lot of what other trim trimmers I've used before was incorrect. Langston really cares about the trees and gave me information on other shrubs I am trimming myself. My oak took quite a hit in the last ice storm and had lost its shape. Not only did they trim the branches that hung over my roof but they also got it back on track to looking majestic again. They used quality machinery and lifts instead of some guys climbing in my tree. Everything went better than expected and the clean up was done nicely too. When I reached out for an estimate the arborist that came out was very helpful, knowledgable about the primary tree I was looking to get pruned, and even offered that since my tree wouldn't take the entirety of the time (half day) they would be able to do some other small pruning to remove branches from other trees around my roofline, etc. He gave me confidence that they would take care of my 100 yr+ old red oak that I'm very conscientious of maintaining due to it's age / heritage status. However, when the crew came out they didn't seem to know any of the information we had discussed. They asked me what we were doing / what class of deadwood I wanted removed, weren't aware of any additional roofline trimming so only completed 1 tree after I asked, and didn't seem to take much care - multiple times large branches fell close to my house / directly on outdoor furniture. Additionally the chipper was broken so they sat outside for hours waiting for a different vehicle to come finish the project yet still left my yard fairly messy. I went with Heritage because I felt the higher quote and initial service meant they'd take a higher level of care but in the future I'd use a different service. read more

We contacted Heritage for a quote and decided to have the work done. Part of the service was for the arborist to take a sample of a fungus on our tree to send off to Texas A&M to determine the severity of it, at a cost of over $200. The sample was taken and now, over three months later, they still won't return my numerous calls and emails. I'm just hoping this review will save someone else wasted time and money. Vincent, a certified arborist and co-owner of Heritage Tree Care, came to our house to examine what I thought was a dying Chinkapin Oak (another company had told me, very definitively, that it was dying.) He spent a solid hour describing to me the intricacies of the tree, and his conclusion was that the tree was fine - we just needed to do some root work. Heritage Tree Care provided tree pruning work at our home and they did a great job. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I am a landscape architect, so my training and professional experience means I view tree work through a different lens than the average joe. The HTC crew was thorough and diligent in their use of proper pruning techniques. They closely followed the instructions that the Arborist gave them, including for pruning dead-wood-only on most of our trees, which was very important to me. Austin is booming and, as we've probably all experienced, some of the best companies are the busiest; HTC is no exception. I needed a large dead branch removed from a Live Oak and a general cleanup of dead branches from all the trees on the lot. The crew did excellent work. My neighbors are commenting on the quality of the cleanup, which was also excellent. The crew worked carefully & methodically, and without running chainsaws and blowers (or a boom box!) all day. I really appreciated the lack of noise; even the chipper seemed to have a better muffler than most. I know tree work costs money and their pricing was certainly reasonable. A friend recommended Heritage to clean up some oak trees on my property so I contacted them. They got back to me quickly, scheduled a time to come take a look at my trees and said they would email me an estimate. After not hearing from them a week later, I called them to check on my estimate. They said they would get back to me shortly and never did. Had a great experience with Heritage Tree Care, with special thanks to Mr. Jeovanny Medina who oversaw my project. I needed a Bradford Pear removed from my backyard and Heritage Tree Care came in with a very reasonable bid, including grinding out the stump. I ended up asking them to do some additional tree branch removal/trimming for another tree while they were on-site, which Mr. Medina arranged. The work was just great. The crew worked hard and very carefully, including clean-up. The stump grinding was tricky as my entrance to the back yard is narrow, but the talented individual figured out a way to make that work, as well. Mr. Medina's communication with me was first-rate, and he did a great job explaining and answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this Tree Care Company. I lost a huge elm in my front yard during a storm 3 years ago and Heritage Tree planted a new tree in its place. It is such a pretty tree now (lots of compliments and inquiries as to the type of tree from those passing by). It has grown substantially over the years and this is due to it being a good, healthy specimen when it was planted and then having received quality care from Heritage since then. During the free assessment of one of our trees they were so helpful in recommending other landscaping improvements for good long term tree maintenance and erosion control , spending probably a half-hour with me even though they assessed in the first 5 minutes that our tree was fine and didn't need their care. We moved into our house in March and discovered soon after that the oak trees around our home weren't in as good shape as we hoped and called Heritage Tree Care for help. Vincent has been overseeing our trees since late spring and has done a great job--and so has everyone else from the company. The first visit to assess our trees and take a look around was really educational for my husband and me. It is obvious how much these guys know about trees. The expertise is evident. Vincent and the rest of the Heritage crew have been so knowledgeable and thorough. So far, we've had them do a soil and bark test, remove one dead tree, excavate around our three front trees so the trunks could breathe again, and trim and prune all the other trees. The jobs completed have been high quality and the crews always cleaned up the spaces so well after their work. I read the reviews and it seems like they know what they are doing, I have not personally used them but my neighbor has. Both times they came out with their trucks and chipper they have blocked my driveway, even though there is ample parking available, and this time today they let themselves into my backyard. Which I certainly did not appreciate as my dog was in the yard at the time, had they knocked on the door to let me know they were there I could have put her up with no hassle but that didn't happen. Blocking my driveway. the first time I asked the crew to move their truck a couple of weeks ago they seemed annoyed but moved it. Today however the gentle man i spoke to who was not fluent in English moved the truck alright to block my driveway fully. :( read more

We had a 4' diameter monstrous Mulberry in our back yard that had been causing all kind of problems for us. We were referred to Heritage Tree Care by another tree service company that was a little further out. He gave them a great recommendation. We had already received bids from a few other companies so when Heritage came by and beat ALL of the other bids by several hundred dollars, we were sold. They came by and did a fantastic job removing the tree which overhung our house and our porch awning with absolutely no damage to any property.
