Joe showed up on-time and gave me a great quote for removing a large and (sadly) dying tree in my back yard. He and his crew removed the tree quickly and professionally, disentangling it from the power lines it had grown into with expert skill and care, and bringing it down safely and without harming anything or anyone. The tree was gone by early afternoon, and as sad as I am to lose it, I'm happy that I hired Joe and his crew to take care of it; they did an excellent job all around! read more

Highly recommended!! We had a huge branch that had fallen in our backyard and was hanging directly over our shed! Joe had a team of 4 people (!!) with ropes and ladders to carefully elevate the branch and cut it so nothing was damaged. Incredible work, excellent communication, and fantastic prices. Can not recommend enough! read more

Joe's team came out on Wednesday. I was a little hesitant in proceeding because I missed the actual meeting with Joe. However, he was able to recall my yard and trees and with communication through Yelp messaging and with Priscilla on the phone I was able to make sure that everything I needed taking care of was. Joe also spoke to his crew by phone. These big, eyesore bushes are now gone. I was hoping they were going to recover freeze before this last one but they never did unfortunately. Also, there was some pruning of trees away from my roofline and the removal of a little pine tree that I had desperately tried to save but I had planted it on a slight slope and over the years it would lean over the driveway to get some sun so every ice storm down it would come on to my driveway. The crew was friendly, especially the two young men that did the actual pruning. As other reviews have noted they did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done. No one would have been able to tell that they were here. I highly recommend Joe's Tree Care. His company will be my go to in the future for yearly tree maintenance and anything else that may come up. Thanks Joe! read more

Joe, Gus, and the entire team did an amazing job at both of my properties in Travis Heights. I initially used them for tree pruning on my personal home, then on a rental home. The pruning team did a terrific job on both: Removing the over-grown branches allowed in so much more sun, and left me smiling from ear-to-ear. I then used Joe's for landscaping on my personal home. They removed all of the water-hungry grass as I'd requested, and replaced with drought-resistant plants, black gravel, and bark mulch. Photos are attached. I plan to use Joe's in Spring 2022 for landscaping on my rental home, and have already recommended them to several neighbors and friends. Highly recommend! read more

Great service all around! We needed some hackberry trees cut back from our house and fence line, but other companies couldn't put us on their schedule for months.. Joe came to my house for a free estimate within a day of submitting my request, and his team came out to complete the work the following day. They were efficient, completed the agreed upon scope and cleaned up nicely before they left. Will definitely work with them again for all our trimming needs. read more

Joe's Tree Care - Trim back from house/fence line - Tree Services Near Me - Austin, Texas

Joe was responsive and scheduling was easy. When we hired this service I specifically discussed trimming the bush next to our driveway. After the day of service, I noticed the bush wasn't finished. Also there are still some dead branches on one of the trees they trimmed. When I reached out to joe about the unfinished work, he told me he would come by the next morning and take care of it "no problem". His crew never showed up. Nor did I get a follow up. It's been several weeks now. I don't have the time to keep contact and follow up and make sure he follows through with his promise to complete the work. We paid $1,400 for trimming trees in both front yards of our duplex. I'm dissatisfied and disappointed. I don't recommend them. read more

We asked Joe's Tree care for a quote to remove a couple of dead Banana plants from our backyard as well as a bunch of dead bushes from the front of our house. While most other services were overly busy and over-charging for these services, Gus from Joe's tree care gave us a great quote for the services we needed. We're now trying to get them involved with a landscaping project to help us enjoy our yard this Spring/summer. Joe came out to give us a quote on this and he was really amazing to talk to. Highly recommend Joe and his team. read more

Excellent work I have used them 2 times now. Once for a tree removal and once for trimming/pruning. They are extremely responsive and got back to me within the hour. Out the next day for a quote and on the third day a team was onsite to complete work. Same on both occasions!! Work was done in about 2-3 hours each time. Team was thorough and quick. Cleaned up after themselves and were safe. They hauled off all the brush and left little trace behind. Overall the jobs look good and got the results I wanted. I felt the prices were fair and I got emailed quotes and invoices each time. I will use them in the future. read more

They are prompt, thorough and professional. The prices are very reasonable. We've used them twice including recently to cut down a dead tree in the backyard. I'll certainly use them again. read more

If your looking for landscape help (sod ect...) keep looking. They seem to be fine for tree trimming but screwed the pooch on my landscape project big time. They delivered a pallet of yellow dying grass and forgot the soil that was supposed to be used for grading my backyard. When I brought it to their attention they sent one worker to get the soil and reinstall the grass while the rest of the group went on to the next job. I tried calling Joe to see if I could get him to come by and see the poor quality materials and installation but he wouldn't get back with me after multiple attempts. 2 of my neighbors got a pallet of green grass installed for half what I paid. Save your money and go to Facebook marketplace for better prices and workmanship. read more

I highly recommend these folks. We had a large branch fall from one of our trees and I called and quoted servers services. Joe's estimator was quick and showed deep knowledge of the local trees. The work was quickly performed the next day - as well as a cleanup that left my yard looking better than before they had arrived. What's more, I've hired a number of companies in the past to do pruning etc, this was the first to really discuss with me the needs of the trees and to put me ahead of what was needed in the future - most used do the minimum and get out as quick as they can. Joe's felt like a highly skilled friend. read more

Joe's has done two jobs for us now, an entire tree removal and stump grind and a large limb clean up. Both times they were fast, communicative and did a great job cleaning up. Their prices are completely reasonable considering the multiple quotes received and I would hesitate to recommend them or call them next time something comes up. read more

We had some damage/dead branches on one of our trees due to the winter storm back in Feb. (We had waited to get it taken care of b/c of a family of birds living in the tree) We reached out to Joe's Tree Care on Yelp to get a quote and see if he could fix our tree and a few other things in our yard. We had a free quote scheduled within 30 minutes of us putting in a quote request. Joe came out and was friendly, professional and polite. He ensured that I knew exactly what was going on with the trees, how they would work and what they would do to correct our issues and even gave me a few pointers on how to take care of some of the other plants in our yard. (I had a crepe myrtle bush that I accidentally killed and he gave me some quick tips on when I should replant/how to care for it!) Joe's team came out within two days and worked quick to get my issues taken care of. His team was polite, professional and efficient. We will definitely be hiring Joe's team again in the future. Their prices were one of the most reasonable quotes I received and everyone I worked with was friendly, respectful and professional. read more

This company was very helpful and I am a very satisfied customer. The crew came out on the desired day and accomplished all that I had requested. When they left, they took all of the foliage debris with them. I give Joe's Tree Care five stars! ***** read more

First off, Joe's tree care was super responsive & we were really excited to give them our business. They came out fast to give a quote, but to schedule said they would be in touch. They never scheduled us, just showed up one morning so neither my wife or myself was available to supervise. They didn't listen to what we wanted at all, and just completely butchered our trees. Made us go from loving our backyard to disliking it pretty fast. read more

Joe and his team are fantastic! They helped me transform my outdoor garden bed by adding two retaining rock walls, added new soil and fixed my underground irrigation. Joe was prompt, arrived on time, gave me a fair quote and did exactly what he said he would do. I am very pleased with his work. He cleaned up after his team and left my yard beautiful! I am so happy with his work and recommend him and his team to everyone! read more

Could not be happier with my experience! The owners showed up to give estimate, and wore masks! They were so professional we decided to move ahead the next day to take out a very large hackberry branch hanging over yard and near house. The team showed up on time and performed a finely tuned and practiced dance and dismantled that huge branch in an hour, safely! They cleaned up the yard and even took out a branch that was hanging on the cable lines. Do not hesitate to reach out to the service. They are professionals and they are our go to guys for any future tree services. read more

I recommend Joe's Tree Care, we have used them twice now. The most recent job was big as the crew had over 12 Oaks to trim hat were very overdue for trimming. They showed up on time the day scheduled, got right to work and all the trees look amazing. Joe is responsive, the pricing is very good, and the crew is professional, fast and hard working. We were very pleased with results and will us them again for future tree services. read more

We just had Carlos and his team out trimming our trees this morning and can't recommend them enough! We got an estimate yesterday and they showed up right on time today to trim. The guys were so nice. They moved all our outdoor furniture out of the way and put it back in the same place. They cleaned up the yard great! They were efficient and did a wonderful job. The price was very competitive with other estimates we got. I can't recommend them enough! read more

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. We had a hawk protecting the nest that was at least 50 feet at the top of a pecan tree, and the hawk had been attacking human's since two chicks were up there at about two weeks old. In order to remove hawk nests you need Texas Wildlife Services oversight and you need to bring the chicks down in good shape so they can raise the chicks and reintroduce them to nature. We called at least 6 tree service companies before Joe's agreed to help. What courage and dexterity!!!They literally risked their life to help us. Thanks Joe's Tree Care!! read more

Great job. Excellent customer experience. Highly recommended. Will be our go to company for future needs.

Thanks to Samuel and the crew for the excellent job. I was pleased with the weight reduction on the two pecan trees. I feel it will be a lot safer during strong storms. Good clearance was created around the garage apartment roof. The pruning on the low hanging branch of the northernmost pecan tree was perfect, and my neighbor was happy with it too. The trash trucks didn't make any problems for us. The crew did a careful job cleaning up afterwards. And thank you for fitting me into your schedule so quickly. - Repeat Customer. read more

Very responsive and professional. The quote and service was completed the same day. Pictures of before and after were provided, even though they were not requested. For future tree services I'll go directly to Joe's Tree Care. read more

They did a fantastic job with some terribly overgrown bushes in a tough hilly site. Fantastic. Great price, too! Highly recommend!

Needed an overdue tree cutting and trimming service for my front and back yard. The price is super affordable given the amount of work (cutting and trimming 4 trees plus hauling and remove a tree stump). The crew came about 10 people and got the job within 2 hours very fast and efficient. They even raked the leaves of my entire backyard and hauled it away. Great job and great price! read more

We got a bid for a complete overhaul of our yard. It was astronomical. Then, we called Joe. Not only was his bid reasonable, he started on the project the veyr next day and wrapped it up in three days. The workmanship is excellent. The crew were courteous and friendly. And Joe swung by several times to ensure everything was going to our satisfaction. This is the best tree and landscaping service in town, we think, having dealt with several others over the years. It's a shame it took us this long to discover Joe's company. Don't even bother calling anyone else to do the job! read more

Came to the house and gave us information on what he would and would not remove when trimming our tree as we wanted to remove weight but keep the shade. However, they sent a completely different crew that didn't speak English that completely hacked our tree cutting off crucial shade areas. Our plants and grass below are now burning because of the amount of shade they cut off. Do not recommend. Make sure whoever you get out to talk to you is the one that is there when they do the actual service. read more

In spite of the backlog in tree care from the Central Texas ice storm of February 2021, Joe's Tree care responded online promptly for a quote, and they came out quickly for an estimate, and scheduled an appointment for a couple days later. They also gave me a reasonable price and a discount. All they had to do to get a 5-star review was show up any time that day and do a good job--not a great job--just a good job. They did not show up on time, but it was a little cold that morning, so I told them via Yelp messaging not to worry about being late on such a cold morning and that any time that day would be fine (I was very nice), and they assured me they were still coming. That was the last contact I ever got from them, although I did ask them late that day what happened--but nothing--no response. So, I used an independent individual who had done some work for my neighbors, and who did for us on short notice what Joe's could not do at all--and at the same price. read more

After Joe's free quote, his crew came within a few days and finished our extensive job quickly. We were extremely impressed with their efficiency and thoroughness in both the job and clean up. The results truly exceeded our expectations in the two tree removals with how well they leveled the stumps. I highly recommend Joe's Tree Service and look forward to using them in the near future for landscaping. read more

The team was quick and professional. I was impressed by their abilities to reach the branches and did a fabulous job.

There are some things you don't want to spend money on and one of those things is having to remove a tree. My red oak barely made the winter storm and then the drought put the nail in the coffin. I've had my trees trimmed a number of times over the years and it's usually an okay experience. I've sometimes wondered, did they even trim the tree? Joe was my third quote for this job and he responded quickly. He came out, and was fast and thorough in quoting me. I decided to go with him because he added more value than the others and noticed one of my other trees was stressed and offered a solution. I decided on him, called him and they came out the next morning. They arrived promptly (already off to a great start) and got to work quickly. They spent a whopping three hours on the job and when I came home from work I couldn't believe how great of a job they did. I never saw my trees trimmed so well and they cleaned up so well. No debris left whatsoever. It's a lot of money but his price was very fair and loaded with extra value the others didn't include. I told my mom to cancel her appointment with one of the bigger companies she scheduled and to call Joe up. That's how confidant I am - I'd have my mom use them. My new go-to. read more

Fast, affordable, courteous, and communicative. I couldn't ask for more. They did exactly what we asked and left everything neat and tidy. We had a dead tree near power lines removed and several other branches cleaned off our elm and post oaks. Competitive pricing and just a good experience overall. read more

This is our third time calling on Joe for tree help. And like the previous two times, he and his team did a great job! I reached out to Joe thru his website, he was prompt in emailing me back. A day later, Joe scheduled time to meet with me, walk the property, arrived at a very fair price, and was able to schedule my work quickly. The very next day, his team showed. A small army parachuted onto our property and worked tirelessly and professionally for hours addressing our front, both sides, and back yard. Their work included removing a large dying tree, cleaning up lots of other trees, removing vines, raising the canopy on others, and more. The property looks amazing. Thanks, Joe, Sammy and crew, for a job well done! You will be my first call the next time we need tree service. I highly recommend Joe's Tree Care to anyone in the Austin area looking for a great job for a reasonable price. read more

Another great job, from Joe's. I finally gave in and had all the vines removed from my fences because there was poison ivy everywhere. I was so tired of getting poison ivy after yard work. The 3 man crew worked all day and did a great cleanup as usual. I Highly recommend this company!!! It's been 7 years since I first used them, three different homes, but always great service. read more

Out of all estimates received for the job, Gus proposed the highest, as much as 4 times as much as other bids. And having worked both for and with subcontractors before, I know when someone is gouging me because they think I don't know anything about the work. I had to hide my laughter as he walked around, tsking his teeth and trying to tell me how difficult the job would be. Either they were too busy to take the job or they're used to catching suckers (non-trade homeowners) all the time. Either way, it means the estimate he gave me was disingenuous instead of being honest and forthright. I won't call them for any further proposals in the future. read more

Joe's did everything just like they said they would. Called him and he was out here the next day as promised and gave us a quote. He said he could have a crew out here in the morning of the following day and they showed up just as promised. We have three palms removed that were killed by the ice storm. The job was finished and a very good cleanup was done by noon. I have no complaints about Joe's Tree Care. They do a great job for a competitive price and they do it when they say they will do it. read more

After a very poor experience with another tree company, I reached out via Yelp to Joe's Tree Care to remove a large red oak that died in the winter storm. They responded the same day and we had one of their employees, Gus at our home for a walk through within a few days. Gus was polite and thorough and never rushed me, answering all my questions and suggesting trimming another tree and cleaning up some bushes. He also informed me that they offer additional landscaping and we discussed some other projects and came up with an initial price point. After discussing it with my spouse and accessing our finances, I communicated with Joe, Christian and Gus and they were able to come down in price to fit within my budget and we moved forward. They came out 2 days within one week - one day to complete all the trimming, tree removal and haul away and then back to grind the large stump along with 3 other stumps the previous home owner didn't complete. The crew was also friendly, efficient and our trees look great (minus the one that's gone ) They followed up to tell us they were finished since we were both working and I spoke with Gus on processing payment etc. I've already recommend them to another friend with some tree winter damage and plan on hiring them again once we access what additional landscaping we want to do since we just recently bought our home and are new to the area. read more
