Joe's team came out on Wednesday. I was a little hesitant in proceeding because I missed the actual meeting with Joe. However, he was able to recall my yard and trees and with communication through Yelp messaging and with Priscilla on the phone I was able to make sure that everything I needed taking care of was. Joe also spoke to his crew by phone. These big, eyesore bushes are now gone. I was hoping they were going to recover freeze before this last one but they never did unfortunately. Also, there was some pruning of trees away from my roofline and the removal of a little pine tree that I had desperately tried to save but I had planted it on a slight slope and over the years it would lean over the driveway to get some sun so every ice storm down it would come on to my driveway. The crew was friendly, especially the two young men that did the actual pruning. As other reviews have noted they did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done. Joe, Gus, and the entire team did an amazing job at both of my properties in Travis Heights. I initially used them for tree pruning on my personal home, then on a rental home. The pruning team did a terrific job on both: Removing the over-grown branches allowed in so much more sun, and left me smiling from ear-to-ear. I then used Joe's for landscaping on my personal home. They removed all of the water-hungry grass as I'd requested, and replaced with drought-resistant plants, black gravel, and bark mulch. Photos are attached. Also there are still some dead branches on one of the trees they trimmed. When I reached out to joe about the unfinished work, he told me he would come by the next morning and take care of it "no problem". His crew never showed up. Nor did I get a follow up. It's been several weeks now. I don't have the time to keep contact and follow up and make sure he follows through with his promise to complete the work. We paid $1,400 for trimming trees in both front yards of our duplex. I'm dissatisfied and disappointed. I don't recommend them. read more

Excellent work I have used them 2 times now. Once for a tree removal and once for trimming/pruning. They are extremely responsive and got back to me within the hour. Out the next day for a quote and on the third day a team was onsite to complete work. Same on both occasions!! Work was done in about 2-3 hours each time. Team was thorough and quick. If your looking for landscape help (sod ect...) keep looking. They seem to be fine for tree trimming but screwed the pooch on my landscape project big time. They delivered a pallet of yellow dying grass and forgot the soil that was supposed to be used for grading my backyard. When I brought it to their attention they sent one worker to get the soil and reinstall the grass while the rest of the group went on to the next job. I tried calling Joe to see if I could get him to come by and see the poor quality materials and installation but he wouldn't get back with me after multiple attempts. 2 of my neighbors got a pallet of green grass installed for half what I paid. Save your money and go to Facebook marketplace for better prices and workmanship. read more

I highly recommend these folks. We had a large branch fall from one of our trees and I called and quoted servers services. Joe's estimator was quick and showed deep knowledge of the local trees. The work was quickly performed the next day - as well as a cleanup that left my yard looking better than before they had arrived. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could. We had a hawk protecting the nest that was at least 50 feet at the top of a pecan tree, and the hawk had been attacking human's since two chicks were up there at about two weeks old. In order to remove hawk nests you need Texas Wildlife Services oversight and you need to bring the chicks down in good shape so they can raise the chicks and reintroduce them to nature. Came to the house and gave us information on what he would and would not remove when trimming our tree as we wanted to remove weight but keep the shade. However, they sent a completely different crew that didn't speak English that completely hacked our tree cutting off crucial shade areas. Our plants and grass below are now burning because of the amount of shade they cut off. Do not recommend. In spite of the backlog in tree care from the Central Texas ice storm of February 2021, Joe's Tree care responded online promptly for a quote, and they came out quickly for an estimate, and scheduled an appointment for a couple days later. They also gave me a reasonable price and a discount. All they had to do to get a 5-star review was show up any time that day and do a good job--not a great job--just a good job. They did not show up on time, but it was a little cold that morning, so I told them via Yelp messaging not to worry about being late on such a cold morning and that any time that day would be fine (I was very nice), and they assured me they were still coming. That was the last contact I ever got from them, although I did ask them late that day what happened--but nothing--no response. There are some things you don't want to spend money on and one of those things is having to remove a tree. My red oak barely made the winter storm and then the drought put the nail in the coffin. I've had my trees trimmed a number of times over the years and it's usually an okay experience. I've sometimes wondered, did they even trim the tree? Joe was my third quote for this job and he responded quickly. He came out, and was fast and thorough in quoting me. I decided to go with him because he added more value than the others and noticed one of my other trees was stressed and offered a solution. I decided on him, called him and they came out the next morning. They arrived promptly (already off to a great start) and got to work quickly. They spent a whopping three hours on the job and when I came home from work I couldn't believe how great of a job they did. I never saw my trees trimmed so well and they cleaned up so well. No debris left whatsoever. It's a lot of money but his price was very fair and loaded with extra value the others didn't include. Out of all estimates received for the job, Gus proposed the highest, as much as 4 times as much as other bids. And having worked both for and with subcontractors before, I know when someone is gouging me because they think I don't know anything about the work. I had to hide my laughter as he walked around, tsking his teeth and trying to tell me how difficult the job would be. Either they were too busy to take the job or they're used to catching suckers (non-trade homeowners) all the time.
