If I could give less than one star, I would…read more I requested a chair leg from my dinette be welded on more securely, and the lock on a patio gate replaced. The lock was frozen (would not turn with the key) and needed replaced. The yelp response came back $400. The guy (Louis) was courteous, scheduled the appointment, took my chair and gate to his shop to be repaired. (With the new lock I had purchased for the gate). Though he did increase the price to $525 at that point. But, well, ok, he said the $400 was labor only (though not mentioned in the yelp response) and the other $125 was for materials. Well, ok, not what I was expecting, but not totally unreasonable. A few days later, he brought back the items. It went downhill from there. When I looked at the gate as he was preparing to weld it back on, I thought it was upside down because the lock was so low. Well, it wasn't. He put the new lock on the gate about 8 inches lower than where it had been. As you are aware, a lock is in a position to be comfortable at where your arm lands to comfortably unlock it. This one was a knee bender to stoop down to open. I pointed it out and I said it needed to be redone to the correct position. I was absolutely stunned by the response: He (Louis) said: You signed a contract to put a lock on; you did not specify where. I put a lock on. You owe me the $525. I told him he was an idiot for putting it in a different place than where it was originally and that I would pay him for the chair (which I hadn't even looked at yet to see if he did a good job). His response was: The contract was for both. I told him then he wasn't getting paid for either. He took my gate and my chair with him. Now I have to hire an attorney to sue this company to get my property back; and to hire someone to make a new gate. I will never find a chair to match as it was custom made when I ordered the dinette set and the company is no longer in business from which to order a new one. I reached out to Alpha fence through the original yelp link requesting an adequate resolution, WITH NO RESPONSE. This was a simple fix: put the new lock in the position where it had been removed. Instead, this company did not follow the 'measure twice, weld once rule' and additionally has stolen my personal property: the entire gate and the chair. I wish I had just called the police at the time; but I had to get back to work. Please, Please, Please, do not this company. Awful work; not willing to correct their mistakes.

She provided fair and reasonable pricing, as well as helped us repair our sprinkler system. This is not our first time working with a landscape designer so I do have something to compare against. I would hire her again and I have recommended her already to a few people. She also was so sweet to make plant recommendations and brought me a plant for our backyard.

UPDATE: Ocampo's eventually responded to the project request that they could not provide the…read moreservice, but only after I posted my review. Upping stars to 3 for not ghosting entirely, but should not have taken a negative review to get a response. I provided a detailed project specification to this vendor 7 days ago--which is an attractive company given that they are covered by the Yelp Guarantee. They are stated to have an average 10 minute response time with a 65% response rate. Seven days later, I've heard nothing. So I'm either in the 35% of their non-responses or I'm an outlier in their turnaround timeframe. I wish I had better things to say since this is an unfortunate lone wolf one star rating in a sea of five stars for this company, but "real people, real reviews" is the rule.
