All team members were extremely professional, knowledgable, and responsive. Detail: We reviewed four companies in the Austin area for a fence extension and automated gate for security purposes. Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. The level of service was outstanding, and I was very pleased to have a total turnkey solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. Our back fence was falling down and the neighbor's dog could jump over it, so we knew we needed a new fence. A friend recommended Absolute Fence and told us how fast they were at replying, how they were the right mid-budget choice, and that they were friendly. So it was a no-brainer. We inquired with them and got a response within 24 hours. On the day of the install (which was a couple of weeks after the assessment, as their schedule was booked until then), they showed up on time and within the first hour had torn down the old fence and started installing the new. We got 8-foot high fence for privacy and to make sure the neighbor's dog couldn't jump it; my husband also requested that the fence be installed "backwards" aka we would see the railing and poles. Connor, our project manager came through at every turn. I asked for a 5-foot fence. Absolute Fence got about ¼ done when I realized we needed more privacy. Connor had them take down all the 5-foot planks and redo. He charged only the materials and labor, no profit. Several weeks after completion, Connor came over to check and replace any planks that had changed position after the wood dried. While here he found a sprinkler pipe that had been broken when a plank was pushed down. He pointed it out and said to send him the invoice for repair. I did, and Absolute Fence took care of it. Finally, during the same follow up visit, there was a section where our small dog might have been able to dig under. Connor had dirt brought in and filled the whole area. We've had 2 fences built before. No company, and no project manager has come close to the quality of service Absolute Fence and Gate gave us. The fence and gates work perfectly and look beautiful. We had another company come out to give us a quote before calling Absolute. I could tell while the representative was here that he didn't have much interest in doing what we wanted. Like everyone else, it seems, I had a great experience with Absolute Fence & Gate. I had kind of expected that I would go with a company that was recommended by those in our neighborhood, but I went on Yelp and requested a quote from Absolute Fence. Then I did that thing where you can click a button on Yelp and get quotes from several other companies. Some companies just emailed me quotes based on my description of what I wanted. Craig came out and did the measurements and, without any pressure of upselling, offered a suggestion for a third rail which he included as a separate item on the quote. After getting several good quotes, I went with Absolute Fence. I was highly influenced by all the great reviews they had on Yelp. I was not disappointed. The process went very smoothly despite some drizzly days. Craig and the guys were great and I am very happy with the outcome About a week after they finished the job, I noticed there were two boards that were sticking out at the bottom. They had not been nailed in on the bottom rail. I hesitated to contact Craig because it was such a minor thing, but all throughout the process, he had stressed that I should let him know if there were any issues. So I did and he was out the next day to make it right. He apologized for not catching the error on his final review. From my perspective, it was two boards out of almost 500 - I don't know how you would catch something like that if the boards weren't sticking out a bit (like they were a week later when I noticed them). The point is Craig was more than willing to come by and make it right, regardless of how minor the oversight. read more
