I discovered them when they were doing a fence down the street. I asked the workers if they could take a look at my fence which was 25 years old and falling apart. The foreman contacted me and we arranged a visit. This took very little time and he walked me through everything including their recommendations. I went with the full deal -- rot board and metal posts and it came out spectacular! Everything is so precise and even when we ran into some issues they stepped in and made it right. My neighbors also added into the job a bit and they were willing to work with them to fix a problem connected to my fence for an extra fee. Both my neighbors and myself are really happy with it and it looks incredible. The workers were polite and all was cleaned up. For those reading this review.. the owners response was exactly the issue. The day I spoke with Matt and her husband co-owner, I let them know directly about the issues. That is why they moved the fence back to the fence line. However, they never came back to fix the gap as you can clearly see in the photo. No one ever onsite or offsite told me about the changes. The PM and Mary are being dishonest in their response by not owning up to what occurred. Not surprised because some "leaders" are not able to admit mistakes. I even called out pros and cons and what I could have done better to protect myself. Eventually I just wanted them off my property so I paid. Took it as a learning and posted my review..once I could stomach writing it. Also the owner must have confused the day of my job as this was NOT IN JULY. How Mary confused it, I have no idea given how uncomfortable that install day was. Then again, Mary was not on-site. And Never came on-site. Hence the break down of communication between herself & Matt. And she still is far removed from the reality of what is occurring on the ground. No one but Matt was onsite for the job. When I let them know about the issues, Matt & her husband came out to speak with me and I physically showed them he before pics, the survey, the posts in the ground; everything I mentioned in the review. I got the work done 9/29/21. Finished 10/1/21 with issues. Final payment made on 10/4/21 which was confirmed by an email I am looking at right now from Mary; per the pic. My review is to let people know if you go with RAM FENCING...be careful the PM assigned and stand out there. Look at the reviews...very few mention the PM Matt I had. These positive reviews are for a diff PM. Keep your records as communication is horrible. I very much let them know I was unhappy with words and written communication. But I won't go back and forth with more proof which I do have. The choice is yours. I am sharing my nightmare experience that took me 11 months to even write this review. I take my reviews very seriously and they are based on facts. I know how important experience, facts, and integrity are for our community. I tell anyone who will listen about RAM fencing. They worked with me while I wrangled three neighbors into splitting fence replacement costs with me. Honestly I took forever to finally pull the trigger on replacing the fence. After the first year and a half gap they still honored the original pricing, but after another year or so they did finally have to raise the estimate due to increased supply costs (which I totally understand), but it was still better priced than any other quotes. I chuckled a bit when one neighbor tried to find a lower price using a handyman recommendation from work, and found their quote to be significantly higher. Once I finally said yes to the fence, they made quick work of it. They make things so easy, it's just me that made things harder and more drawn out trying to share the cost with other fence owners. Since we needed new cedar fencing, we decided to take bids from various companies on our fence project--we spoke to 15 or so companies. Having very limited knowledge of fences and fence materials, we were happy to run into the team at RAM fencing. Mary and Greg took the time to answer my many questions and were able to educate me on cedar grades, rails, posts, cement and all the rest of the variables that goes into a good fence. They did this without ever being salesy or pushy--they were very patient in educating me. Additionally, their communication was excellent, and they were quick to respond at all times. Best of all, they had the most competitive bid among reputable fencing companies. They also detailed the bid, so that it was easy to split between neighbors and were very accommodating in adjusting the bid as changes were made. Once the project started, Greg (project manager), walked me through the entire process and stayed onsite to supervisor the entire job. His team--Hector and crew--were very skilled in all aspects of fencing and were very efficient; the division of labor was excellent. Additionally, they cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess. RAM fencing also chose the best cedar for the project, discarding all cedar that did meet their standard. Additionally, they guaranteed that they would fix any broken sprinklers, which put my mind to ease. And, they guaranteed their work and labor for a year. They also used stainless steel screws that I provided. Best of all, they fixed my broken rear fence free of charge while they were installing my new fence on the sides. We had a nice black metal handrail installed on both sides of our new pool. I called multiple companies & Ram fencing was courteous, prompt, and more affordable. Matt came out and gave us a quote - he was helpful and detailed in his questions and explaining of the install. TLDR: See pictures!! I am having to hire another fence company to fix this "fence". I had used Ram fencing in the past, so I was excited to have them on the job again. This time, however, was a disaster requiring me to hire another company to fix the fence that Ram installed. The install on 9/15 left a fence that was wavy across the top to the point of being meme-worthy. While they did have to install around a tree, the sections on either side were not even on the same plane. In addition, they started on the wrong end (instead of where an 8-foot section already existed from a neighbor's installation of our shared "friendly neighbor fence"). In completion, the sections are off, and instead of rotating there are 2 railed sections next to each other (see pictures). To their credit, they acknowledged repairs were needed and came back out on 9/21. They adjusted the sections around the tree somewhat - but requested a concrete planter be removed before fixing the rest. Which has been done. From the visit on 9/21, I received near daily requests for invoices - but no scheduling to return and complete the work. Then today (11/8) after stating again that I view the work as incomplete and giving them an opportunity to fix the work, they declined. When I asked if they felt this was up to their standards - I was told by the owner: "I am fine with the quality of work and I would like to receive payment." I paid the withheld balance to be done with Ram fencing and will hire another fence company to fix what Ram considered quality work. *Update* If you still have any question about what you can expect - take a look at the owner's reply to this review! Much like my comments above - she provided nothing but excuses for poor craftsmanship, even going so far as to state that a neighbor has the authority to approve work I am paying for. RAM had great communication, transparency, and professionalism from the beginning. I contacted them via yelp to set up a time to get a quote. Quickly MaryLou emailed with their next available , and within 24 hours we had an appointment set up. Both MaryLou and Jeff came out to give the quote. This was greatly appreciated because Jeff would be the one on the job site day of install with his crew. With other companies it's a game of telephone (one person to come out and gather information for the quote, another person creates and sends the quote, and then install day is a new set of people). But not with RAM. Once we got the initial quote back it was very clear as to what we were asking for/what we were going to get. And they quickly worked with us on revising it. Day of install- Jeff and I did a final walk through to make sure what we had decided with the revised quote was still accurate. SUPER happy with their work! I had them out to do my front yard fence a few months ago and since it looks so amazing I had them back to do the backyard (side and back) fence. They had to remove the old backyard fence with all these cement towers and build a new (taller) one from scratch with a custom french door (where one stays static and the other is used, but both can open if needed). The backyard fence definitely made my yard quieter by reducing road noise, darker by reducing street light pollution, and will reduce the temperature in the summer so that my plants don't die. We had about 200 linear feet of fence replaced, and from the onsite quote to the final walkthrough, I couldn't have been happier with RAM Fencing and Matt B, our project coordinator. He was flexible, patient, communicative, and willing to answer our many questions. It was obvious that his top priority was our complete satisfaction. The crew's attention to detail was the best a perfectionist could ask for. The top of the fence line is straight; the pickets are so close together you can barely see through them; the gap at the ground is minimal. At our request, they even made a slight adjustment to the positioning of one corner, despite a tricky web of utility lines. During installation, I called out a few nit-picks, and Matt happily fixed them on the spot. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, the nails are all crooked and sticking out. They left all the dirt, and old concrete from the post holes they dug. Most of the dirt is all piled up along the bottom of the pickets so the pickets can rot from having wet dirt sitting up against it. Everything they used; the garden hose and chairs on the back porch, they did not put them back where they found them and left trash in the grass. The quote process was really straight forward with Richard (the owner). I worked with him on describing exactly what I wanted, what I could afford, and how to merge it with the neighbor's fence. He was extremely flexible in terms of doing what I wanted as well as timing the installation. When the time came to install the fence, Mary Lou (Richard's wife) came out with two other workers (Juan and another guy) and two trailers worth of stuff to get the job done quickly. They showed up exactly at the 9am start time and finished in 3 hours. They used quick setting cement for the steel poles and worked with me on several minor issues like lining up the pickets to be off the ground the correct height, dodging buried sprinkler PVC, repairing some damaged fence from another contractor's work, and they even gave me a picket to fix an unrelated part of my fence. The pickets are perfectly aligned and the use of square metal fence posts allows the width of the "good neighbor" fence to be as as small as possible.
