The Amigos crew did an excellent job! The boss, Rocky, did a walk thru on the job before hand. Rocky did another walk thru with the crew foreman. The crew did exactly what we wanted them to do-- and they DID NOT butcher our trees! The Amigos crew went out of their way to minimize the cutting to preserve the tree canopy. The result is tree limbs off the roof, brush cut back away from the house and a yard that looks much neater. All of those things are important for the neighborhood that we live in. For all of the work that Amigos did on our trees, the price was very reasonable. Five stars for sure! read more

I've hired Tony a few times and I highly recommend Amigos Tree Service. Tony is knowledgable and professional and a pleasure to work with. He was fair on his pricing and his crew is outstanding. They took down an exceptionally large (trunk was 4 feet in diameter) Arizona Ash that had very heavy, large branches extending out over both my and my neighbor's roofs. They took it down in a few hours cleanly and efficiently without incident. They obviously really knew what they were doing. It was dangerous difficult work. These people are simply Amazing. They climb every tree and are very careful not to damage any of your flowers or plants. They never let a branch touch the roof and some of the limbs were 20 feet long! They could carry huge logs over their shoulders. When they were done they raked the yard and even brought out a tarp for the small sticks. They managed to get everything in their trailer. I have never seen anyone work that hard and for a very good price. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Friendly and quick response to emails. I should have insisted on a formal estimate. I did not realize the price given was a cash price. The price for other than cash is more than 100 dollars difference. in our case. we could have had the cash to pay. But at least we do have the cancelled check as proof of whatever. No receipt was given. I would have preferred a more formal process and will look for that with the next tree work we have done. Apparently some branches landed on the backyard cat enclosure that bent part of the wire and this was not mentioned to us at all. Clean up was ok, tree parts were removed. Except for some trash! (empty water bottles) discarded in our backyard, otherwise clean up was acceptable. We intervieved 4 companies. Amigos was one of the two lower bids. My advise, shop around, get references written email estimate and agreement is best to avoid misunderstandings. We only received a cash quote & without any additional information we had no idea that there was other pricing! Be sure to check out everything before you pay and certainly before they leave. It was not a horrible experience by any means, but was not ideal either. Under the right circumstances we might try them again. read more

I would not recommend Amigo Tree Service. Tony, utilized young workers and left the job. Upon completion he was Eagar to get paid, however, work agreed to was overlooked. It wasn't much, however, Tony said he would come back to complete. He never did. He was disingenuous and once paid had no intentions to complete. Later learned his price was high. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and gave me a fair estimate. His crew arrived at the date/time we scheduled for the following week to trim my trees and remove a diseased tree. We hired Amigos Tree Service to trim our trees and to remove a very tall palm tree that died in the cold. It was taller than 40 ft, next to a fence and poolside. Took us a few tries to connect (partly my fault), but once we got the work scheduled Tony did a great job. His price was reasonable and he made it clear that he wanted to keep my business. He provided ideas for other trees that need trimming at a later date. We scheduled the work while I was at work. When I got home, all the limbs and leaves were completely cleaned up. I was referred to Antonio and Amigos Tree Service through a friend of mine. My first contact via a phone call was pleasant and we set a date for him to come by to give me an estimate. Even though he showed up a day later than promised, he appeared very knowledgeable about what we were asking and also recommended other areas that needed to be trimmed which was appreciated. Then we settled on a price and date. He showed up early and cut our trees as requested. This encounter was satisfactory. However, the next encounter would change my mind forever about using this company again or ever recommending them to my friends. Read on .... Since Antonio did a good job at my house I was happy to refer him to a good friend of mine. They got together and settled on a price and date. He promised he would be there on a Wednesday, but never did. My friend had to contact him to see if his plans had changed. He told her they would come on Thursday. Thursday came and passed - no Amigos. So my friend contacted him again. This time he said he would be there on Friday. While they showed up on Friday around noon and cut her trees, they failed to bring the appropriate equipment to allow them to cut her tall bushes in the backyard. Now, I know everyone can make mistakes and forget something, but how they followup on their mistake is very telling. Since they completed 75% of the job, my friend paid them and was told they would come back to finish the entire job. However, one week passed, then two weeks with nothing more than a text stating that we will be back. When? I tried to text Antonio myself asking when he would show up since it had already been over two weeks. He stated that he would do his best to be there on Saturday. Saturday came - but no Amigo's again. I then sent him a text saying that I was disappointed that he has not taken care of my friend in the same fashion he took care of me. He then tried to say that he had not even collected any money from her. Wrong. I sent him a picture of the check and when he cashed it. Then he said that cutting the bushes was not even part of the job. Wrong again. I sent him the date, time and a picture of the email showing what needed to be done and the price he agreed to. At this point, I cannot say I trust him anymore. Sad, since he did a good job the first time. Again, everyone can make mistakes. But a good business person would own up to their mistake, follow through on their promises and complete the job. He did none of these. Just be aware that if you do decided to use Amigo's, make sure you have a very flexible schedule and DO NOT PAY HIM until the entire job is completed. read more
