I am a sucker for a good cocktail bar. The fact they offer bao buns was enough for us to stop in…read more The baos come in mushroom or duck, in a flight of 3. We ordered the duck. All you could taste was the hoisin. So sweet it buried the duck and the pickled vegetables. Why was it garnished with random lettuce? Who knows? The heavy-handed hoisin was bad, but the buns' lack of fluffiness was downright depressing. The cocktails were a blast. The one mocktail was a hit. The tiki-themed Portal, served in a poisoned-apple mug, was fun. The espresso martini was the highlight of the night. I could have used 40oz of it. Recommend the drinks. Skip the bao.

The squid was fine, but there was too much puffed rice which was hard and crunchy in the salad. On the other hand, short rib and trout had great flavor, infusing Thai with European/American staples. Both the short rib and trout were tender, and I'd order them again!

I'd say I wasn't as impressed by the half roasted chicken as it wasn't as flavorful as I would've hoped. The garlic jus they paired it with was also lacking in depth of flavor and the portion was super small compared to the size of the chicken. But the service and warm ambience were phenomenal. It's a solid place for a good meal. Looking forward to returning.

Our server was very informative about their cheeses and we ordered the cabrales, chorizo iberico, pan y picos, and pan con tomate with jamon Serrano. The pan con tomate was my favorite dish! The tomatoes were so flavorful and the bread was absolutely delicious. The jamon was just like what I've had in Spain and it was an overall great experience. We also ordered sherry and Spanish vermut. I love Spanish vermut but Sherry is definitely a drink you have to be in the mood for but was fun to give it a try. This is definitely a cute upcoming place in town.

Every visit has been consistently outstanding. The food is simply exceptional. We've tried many dishes over the years, and honestly, everything on the menu has been delicious. You can truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every plate. The service is equally impressive--friendly, professional, and always attentive, making every meal feel special. They don't offer a kids' menu, but that has never been an issue for us because our daughter has a very French palate and happily enjoys the regular menu. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation for the weekend, as it tends to fill up quickly. Also, keep in mind that they're closed on **Wednesdays and Sundays**. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable French dining experience, Le Canard Enchaîné never disappoints. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. This whole time, I really thought this place was inside a cozy hotel about 2 blocks over. Guess you learn something new every day. We pulled up on a Thurs. around 4 with no res. and got seated real quick. Restaurant K. is airy, chic and gives a relaxed vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, but honestly, there's something for every eating style. We kept things light instead of diving into something heavy. Our spring greens salad was really good: hefty mound of mixed greens, lima beans, string beans and a hint of dill to make everything pop. Hubs had the double-stacked burger with white cheddar on a potato bun and loved it. I had high hopes for the hush puppies because they sounded amazing on paper- but they were doughy than corny and threw me off. Then came dessert. Again- sounded great on paper. It kinda feels like desserts get a "reinvented" treatment here(?). For instance, the strawberry shortcake was deconstructed: a few chunks of white cake, some diced strawberries and whipped cream. Totally unexpected. I ordered the 'Fun-Fetti Dunkaroos' with madeleines because they caught my eye, but they're smaller than standard. The food isn't bad at all. We were just caught off guard by how some of our selections were prepped. What really saved the evening were the cocktails. They were beautifully made and had a lot of strength. No watered-down nonsense here! Plus, our server Karina(?) was super sweet. I asked if I could try the passion fruit purée to see if it was the real deal for one of the cocktails I ordered and she brought me a little sample. Passed the test!

They have a lot of seating and a good menu price range. My favorite thing about the menu is that they have duck fat fries! If you never had your French fries fried in duck fat then you are missing out!!! Now I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. I highly raved about this place but the last time I came it was such a disappointment. Our waitress though very friendly was not very attentive. We couldn't find her when we needed things and when we asked for things she didn't bring them. Now I'm sure she was busy and we never complained but that mixed with the fact that our food was just alright made me drop it a few stars. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't the best, including the glassware. Now to be fair every other time I have come the food was fantastic. I typically always get the general tso fried chicken sandwich and I love it. So maybe it was an off day we all have those. I will go back again and see if they redeem themselves! Also I just want to make mention the sandwiches do not come with duck fat fries you have to specifically ask for them to be the duck fat ones.
