This is a good local spot right off of 65, and perfectly located between Indianapolis and Louisville. The servers were friendly and brought coffee and menus over immediately. The menu is fairly large. I was looking for something on the healthier side so I ordered the vegetarian omelet with a side of fruit. The fruit was canned fruit, not the fresh fruit I was expecting. The omelet was just ok. My brother had the French toast and that was definitely the better option. The old-school order pads/checks were so cute!

We stopped in here for breakfast. Upon entering you take a seat anywhere that's comfy for you and it's like walking into your grandmas kitchen. Everyone is so welcoming and it feels like home. The food came out very fast and was fresh. The home fries are actual fresh cut fried potatoes. The bacon has a great flavor. Biscuits and gravy were amazing. They come around every few mins for coffee refills. The pancakes are light and fluffy and best of all they have peanut butter for them. I can't say enough good things about this little place. We will be stopping in there again real soon. Also they have semi truck parking so it's convenient and easy to grab a hot meal as a driver like myself as well.

#15/2022 Still 24 hours even through covid only closed on Christmas Day. easily accessible from interstate 65 at the Seymour exit 50. Next to what I like to call the (economy motels) Use your own visualization LOL. Been here for over 40 years originally was called a waffle house no affiliation and they changed it to the sunshine cafe. Your classic old school roadside greasy spoon. While at night time it could be a little scenic around here LOL one thing you definitely hasn't changed as you will not leave hungry. I was coming up 65 headed down towards Louisville to go east and my belly started rumbling and I thought you know it's got to be at least 10 years since I hit this place off so I thought let me go into the old rickety gravel parking lot and make my way around to the truck area and go in and strap on the feedbag. Walking in it was slam parked they do an unbelievable business still very big with the locals along with the travelers. It definitely shows its age which is a good sign to me nothing like a good rundown Cafe but the slam packed people and the smiles on the faces that you're getting some good grub here. So I sat down I could see that slammed they were the table was dirty I didn't care I just patiently waited for the server to bring the menu and the clean the table off no big deal you can't always clean it during peak hours when you want to. Ordered up some coffee began to peruse the menu. First thing they notice even though it's not owned by Greeks they have the Greek influence it's got everything under the sun and every kind of variety you can want. After looking at another person's plate I saw he was eating steak and eggs and boy did it look good I said I want me some steak and eggs too LOL. So I ordered them up medium over medium for the eggs and I asked if they're hash browns were the kind that were little cubed and thrown into the fryer like french fries or if they were the old sliced potatoes on the grill which they were. Went with wheat toast. Food came out fairly quickly fantastic with a capital F. The reason for the full bar of stars across the board the quality of the food. The ribeye was a boneless rib eye cooked perfectly the eggs were great the home fries were just phenomenal nice big chunks with the skin on them fried on the grill just perfect. I cleaned the plate and then some I decided I'm definitely going to be hitting this place up a lot more hopefully it's going to be as good next time too I come down 65 constantly it seems always between Indianapolis to Louisville either coming south or headed east and I'm definitely going to be making this a local stop for breakfast or even dinner that looks pretty good too. My kind good options for the sides too cottage cheese is always a plus for me hard to find a lot of places anymore but they got it. All in all for an old rundown Cafe it's definitely worth the time and the money the quality of the food is all that really matters to me I could deal with a little dirty floor that's no big deal. Check if you're making your way down 65 an hour north of Louisville hour South of Indy right smack in the middle in Seymour stop on in and fill up your belly.

Tenderloin burger and egg and mega breakfast.

We had a Big Cheesy, Fried Mushrooms (which come with Ranch), Crinkle Fries, Potato Wedges, a Hamburger, a Grilled Cheese with added toppings, and some sodas. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were just right in my opinion. The only thing that would have made it better was if there was indoor seating. I had wanted a milkshake but it was too cold outside in the shade and the dining room was closed. They said that it has been closed since COVID (so 2020 maybe?) and that they are remodeling and opening it back up in about a week, but with only 3 tables. This place has changed ownership a few times over the years since the 50s, and while not exactly like the "old days", it was still good and we enjoyed our food.

The food is okay, not too excited when my family or friends want to eat here. The service is fairly…read morequick, but you have to catch them when they are open, hours/days seem inconsistent. I drive by on my way home from work and see it closed a decent amount of the time the hours day they should be open. The ambiance is dependent upon the day, since seating and ordering take place entirely outside or in your vehicle. Not much seating available, so groups of more than 4-6 may struggle to eat together.
