"Lite Breakfast" is perfect size for me, one egg, 1/2 order of hash browns, and bacon. Yum!

What a fun place! When I travel, I try to find the places the truckers used to call a "Local choke & puke" (maybe they still do?) that are locally owned diners. I already know what I'm going to find at portion-controlled franchise places out near the Interstate, and local diners tend to have a colorful atmosphere all their own. This is such a place! First of all, you have to want to go here because it's not on a main drag or prominent thoroughfare. There is parking on the street and a small lot to the side of the building. You'll know you've found it when you see the three big letters, E-A-T above the doorway! In my case, I got there about Dark:45, a few minutes before opening. (6:00AM.) The place was already brightly lit up as staff prepared for the morning onslaught. I sat in my car, engine idling (it was COLD that morning!) catching up on my social media while I waited. At 5:59, I sauntered up to the front door and since the faux neon "OPEN" sign was on, I went in and found a table. The place immediately began to fill up with regulars and I couldn't help but feel like I might have sat in one of those reserved but unmarked places the regulars sit in each morning. No problem, though, and the waitress immediately brought me a glass of water and cup of coffee. Several well-meaning folks pointed out my car's headlights were still on ("Been on quite awhile," one said, and I pointed out I had been sitting in the car and the lights are automatic.) My order came quickly and was very good! By the time I left, the place was pretty crowded with regulars of all kinds, farmers, business people, and even a morning prayer group having breakfast near me. BTW - check in on Yelp when you arrive! ;) You would be hard pressed to find a better breakfast out near the Interstate. It's worth the short ride into town, trust me. You'll thank me later.

While in town to check out the new Mellencamp mural, I decided to stop by Townhouse Cafe to get something to go. The cafe is small, but has its own lot to the west of the building, so I grabbed a spot and headed inside. The interior has dining tables to the left and a counter with seating on the right. The staff were friendly and greeted me. I sat at the counter and let them know I wanted a black coffee to go. I saw they had a bunch of pies, but didn't see any pastry, so I asked. They happened to have blueberry muffins with a lemon cream center. Yes please! They even served it warm. Very good! The coffee was okay in flavor, but it was served piping hot, so I couldn't drink it while I ate my muffin. Sad that they can't get the temperature down to a drinkable level before serving. It defeats the purpose of ordering a combo of items when you can't enjoy them together, especially when I wanted to get back on the road. Review #3381

Incredible staff and tasty food! Stopped here on a road trip and was delighted by our experience. Shout out to Jade for holding our daughter so we could eat! Thank you!

    Yummy!

Always a friendly staff and excellent breakfast! Best breakfast in Seymour! They used to have unlimited Biscuits N Gravy.... Unbelievably worth the price, but they don't offer it anymore. Still, very good food!!

It's a bit off the interstate but worth it. It was easy to find and there is street parking making it easy for our family of four. There's a park across the street as well as a smaller kids play area inside. There's also a Walkup window on the outside for convenient ordering if you have pets or small children that want to run outside. The barista was also so cheerful and kind which is always appreciated. Being from Nashville, we were pleasantly surprised to find that one of our fav local coffee shops, The Well, is who Moxie brews! Fun coincidence! Food/drink orders and ratings: Hubs: drip coffee and bagel with cream cheese - Daughter (15yo): smoothie and chocolate chip cookie - .8 Son (13yo): smoothie and chocolate croissant - .2 Me: Orange cinnamon mocha and raspberry white chocolate scone - Overall we would 100% stop here again and have already sent the information to my family for when they are driving down to see us! It was spacious and there's a ton of cozy seating options, each still with a little side table, as well as several standard tables. I love that in a coffee shop. I ordered a vanilla latte and a bagel and my mom got a smoothie. All the baked goods looked delicious. While we enjoyed our visit, there were a few things that would have made it better. I didn't see the seasonal menu until after I ordered, because it seemed way of to the side. I wasn't given a plate or napkin for my bagel and it was a little hard to get someone's attention to ask where to find napkins (up by the register). It would've been great if they'd asked whether we wanted our items for here or to go. The restroom was out of toilet tissue, and when I tried to tell a staff member, they were wearing headphones so they couldn't hear me. I had to go find another to let them know. Some of the seating was quite messy and wasn't cleaned up in the amount of time we were there.

We arrived on the main thoroughfare in Nashville on a Monday morning around 10:30 am in October - the high season in this leaf peeping area. Having stayed at an inn just down the road, we wanted to get a hot tea to warm up before our day off walking around town. We are so glad to have found Sweetea's! We got a great parking spot in the small lot and went right in. The shop is cozy and filled with teas, tea related gifts, and some other fun Brown County & Indiana knickknacks. I tried their cherry almond tea latte with oat milk and my mom had a maple tea. We both loved our selections. Exactly what we needed to warm up before a brisk shopping adventure. There's some family style seating at two round tables up front and a couch and chairs in the back. By the time we left people were starting to file in as the shops all opened up for the day.
