Wow, a step back in time from the decor to the service. Got a few "sweeties and honeys" from our server as she took our order then shouted it to the grill and fry cooks. One on fryer and one grill. Onions piled high on the grill top. Lots of bustling of the staff going to and fro ... did I mention that most the staff this Saturday were elderly ladies working their butts off. You could tell the food was gonna be good and the staff had been there quite a while. Highly recommend for the experience and step back in time. The food was great too ... as the sign says ..."it ain't food if it ain't fried". Sit a spell and enjoy ... Highly recommend and would go again. I need to try the shakes. read more

Larrison's has been a staple in Seymour for over 50 years. The local diner that is open 6 days a week (closed Sundays) from 7a-2p. The cheeseburgers with grilled onions are a must. Pair it the fries or fresh onion rings and a hand dipped shake or malt for the perfect lunch. Their homemade soups (bean, chili, vegetable beef, and chicken n' dumplings) are just what you need on a cold day or when you need a taste of grandma's house. The local small town diner with memories on the walls and the staff is so friendly. It is always a must stop and eat when we are in or passing through Seymour. read more

I would give it a negative score if I could. I get that people appreciate a really old-fashioned diner, but the service is terrible!!! I don't get why so many people pack this place, which is also part of the problem...the food is just mediocre. I made the mistake of going at 9:30 on a weekday morning and there was almost nowhere to sit; we waited over an hour and decided to just leave...nothing is worth that kind of wait, especially in a small town. Don't waste your time! read more

We like to eat here often. The food is excellent, the service is fast, the people are friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable. What's not to like? ‍ read more

In town for business and was hungry for some breakfast. I had noticed this location the night before on yelp and had to give it a try. Good old-fashioned diner and the ladies cooked up a fantastic breakfast. Service was great and I love the diner atmosphere. They also have homemade cinnamon rolls right beside the checkout. I bought enough for the office and everyone absolutely enjoyed them. Stop and give this place a try you won't be disappointed if you love diners read more

We were in the area heading to the bourbon trail, and wanted something quick and easy for breakfast. It's your usual diner food selection, though it looks like they have more options for lunch. Service was prompt, not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. Again, what you expect out of a diner. I do like all the retro pictures and signs on the walls. They even had an old cigarette machine by the restroom. Lots of character. It's a bit of a drive from 65, but if you want something other than fast food or a gas station sandwich, it's worth a detour. read more

Food, services all done very well Fast friendly service no problems at enjoyable experience

This is a greasy spoon...good service and food. Nothing special for the inside, although they were doing a decent job with spacing during Covid. The menu is on the board or a paper copy is provided. We order a cheeseburger; thin crispy, grilled onion, melted cheese....very good. Excellent burger! We also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Everything tasted very good. The shake was delicious and you got the silver cup with the extra! read more

Always quick and professional wait staff. The cozy style diner and food options that bring you back to a simpler time. The breakfast menu is my favorite, but lunch is always great too! My wife and my schedules don't line up well to make it here during their normal hours, so when they do we make sure to stop in! read more

Harrison's is a icon in down Seymour. I have had so many people ask where is Larrison's Dinner and my reply is always have your windows down and when you smell fried onions your there. Any time you want a place to gather it's the place to go. You will always have a juicy burger and more fries than you can eat and a big red. If it ever closes Seymour will lose a major part of history read more

I just had the 8 ounce burger again. So Yummy! I always get cheese, pickles and grilled onions and the size really satisfies.

Larrison's is a hometown legend. I love their food, and there's something on the menu for everyone. Their specialties are traditional and super tasty, but all of their food is excellent. The staff is friendly and hard working. Seymour is my hometown, but now that I live out of town, a trip to Larrison's is a special treat! It has a wonderful atmosphere leaning toward their history, community, and a 50's vibe. I highly recommend Larrison's. read more

Best diner burger and fries ! Love this place has great cozy atmosphere and rustic ambience!

Their breakfast is absolutely outstanding. The waitresses are very nice and very friendly and it's a very unique atmosphere.

This place is the quintessential local diner. The food is exactly why you expect. The staff is rushed and a bit cranky. The fry cook does her best with the low quality ingredients but still manages to make the French toast tough. I can't understand how the use of "Wonder bread"! Is ubiquitous in this state! Don't go out of your way to try this local relic but it will fill you up if you're passing by! I so miss the Town House, but the trip to the Waffle House (Sunshine Cafe) is worth the short drive. read more

Yummy food! He ordered his steak medium rare and it was over cooked but we still cleared our plates! Each of the servers stayed really busy and helped each other out wherever they could with also being cashiers and making plates. Priced well! read more

A town favorite according to a friend's grandma, so we all went together while I was in town! The waitress was very sweet and helpful, and everything was so good! I got the cheeseburger with everything and added bacon and jalapeños. It was so delicious, one of the best I've had in Indiana! I also got fries with it which were very good too. A few got cookies to go while we paid, and I wish I had room for a milkshake but I was too stuffed from my burger! It was a great lunch spot for some friends and family to meet up and enjoy! read more

Charm alone makes it a great spot to jump in, grab a seat and order a tasty no frills breakfast on a Saturday along with a full house of patrons. Love to see long standing establishments flourishing and appreciative of their hard work, staff was great with everyone helping outside a standard role. Good breakfast. Good atmosphere. Good and full. read more

Everything was excellent. My Quilt club stopped in for lunch. Definitely will go back.

Friday special, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, delicious! I checked their menu online and it had the daily special priced at $6.99. Inflation has affected their prices also, it was $9.??. Good service! read more

Past it's prime. Not clean, breakfast is pretty good and fresh but the rest of the business needs a complete overhaul.

Stopped here for a quick lunch while out furniture shopping. They were in the middle of a busy lunch shift. We sat at the counter and got a front row seat to some tasty looking dishes going out. I had the BLT with Mayo. It was perfect. Nothing fancy, just simple, straightforward, and delicious. All the ladies working the grills and counter were super friendly, and the prices were really reasonable. Will definitely be back! read more

A great breakfast and lunch place. Old time diner atmosphere, you're never a stranger here. Heart warming home style cooking. Larrison's is one of the best diners of Seymour. Is it fancy? No. Is it adventurous food? Absolutely not. Is it delicious? YES YES YES. I've been here for both breakfast and lunch and would keep going back weekly if I thought my cholesterol level could handle it. I love the chili and grilled cheese. My husband ordered the Finn Special at breakfast (pictured) and it was incredible! It can get pretty busy so be ready to order when they come by and don't be scared to ask for a refill or a check when you need it. They take cash or card but we try to pay cash when possible. It may be simple food but it's amazing! read more

This was my first time at Larisons Diner. My Fiance had been wanting to take me, since he grew up in Seymor and had been going here his whole life. I'm telling you, the "Train Wreck," or breaded pork tenderloin topped with homemade chili, cheese and onions- is a total game changer!! It was as big as my head, priced at $7.49. And tasted AMAZING!! I think I've found a new favorite food. Also, their fried potatoes rival those that my grandma makes- ssh, just don't tell her! I highly recommend this place, and will definitely be coming back. read more

Random stop here from California on our way to Fort Wayne. The place was BUSY on a Saturday morning. Full of life, friendly and exactly what you'd want to see on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." The first thing I must order in Indiana is a Hoosier Tenderloin. Tenderloins cannot be done property outside of Indiana. This tenderloin sandwich did not disappoint. In fact, we may have to re-route our return trip back to Seymour to get another one. Coffee was standard issue diner coffee, which hit the spot. Service was prompt and courteous and the "tye dye" t-shirt uniforms on the staff made the place a little happier. Extra kudos to the little lady taking VFW donations outside the door. You can't build movie-sets better than this. read more

Stopped in on our way home from a camping trip at Hardy Lake. Old fashioned diner style - good home cooked food and good prices!! The breaded tenderloin was great - good ol Indiana style two times the size of the bun. I wished I tried the chili - lots of other diners were eating it and it was mentioned a lot on other reviews. The onion rings were good and the waffle fries. Not sure if I will ever have a reason to be back in Seymour but if I do I will be back!! read more

I would give it 4 stars if I hadn't smelled of stale grease everytime I went to Larrisons. I always got a grilled cheese and onion rings everytime and it was quite good.
