We used to be regulars here--not any more. A few weeks ago, while in the men's room, I noticed vomit on the floor with a "Slippery When Wet" sign beside it. I figured, "No big deal, it'll get cleaned up." We left, and I didn't think about it again. A week later on a return visit, I went into the men's room and saw the same vomit, same sign. I mentioned it to our waiter, explained it had been there for a week, and he was very apologetic. He said he told the manager and assured me it would be cleaned immediately. Stopped by for dinner while staying at Hotel. Had the Blackened Cajun chicken smothered in onions and shrooms with some garlic smashed taters! Couple big ole cold ones 32oz service was spot on, never wanted for nothing. Salad 2 minutes after I ordered, chicken 10 min tops! The coolest part is the bourbon look very cool ideas! Wednesday August 6, 2024: What could have been a great night was sadly ruined by music that was so ridiculously loud, we couldn't have a conversation or enjoy our food. The food was good, the service was good, the outdoor dining was super. My husband and I own a large DJ/music entertainment company in NYC and are certainly used to loud music. We were with our 14 and 16 year old children and they wanted to leave because the music was outrageously loud. The band members also threw the F-bomb around frequently which, at 7:00 at night in a family restaurant is totally unacceptable. We stayed at the Hampton Inn next door and you could actually hear the music INSIDE the lobby of the hotel. Perhaps you may want to consider a different band that understands volume levels and the fact that children and teens are present and cursing in between songs is completely unnecessary. read more

I was traveling from Michigan to Alabama. Stopped in Scotsburg for the night. Both to and from. The food at Flipdaddy's was excellent. The first time I had a mushroom Swiss burger. Fries were seasoned just right. The next time I had the Berry Salad with feta cheese and topped with a grilled Salmon. Absolutely wonderful. The raspberry vinaigrette was the best! Do not go here if you value your tastebuds. I was served burnt bacon on a cheeseburger. When I say burnt, I mean black! And the lighting in this restaurant does not allow you to truly see what you are about to eat. So, you have to trust them to a certain extent. Grossest food I have ever put in my mouth. Told the waitress when she FINALLY checked on me after I was almost done. It took so long for her to check on me. And after a long day, I was starving. I had already peeled it off the burger. Good mac-n cheese! Although described by the locals as a steakhouse, and they do have steaks, it's really a burger and bar place. And the burgers are good. It's ok for families. Conveniently located at the I-64 exit 29 in Scotsburg Indiana. The prices are ok. The service is good. I'd go there again, and probably will. read more

First, let me get something straight, at the time I was there, Lauren with blonde hair, is the BEST! She was so so polite and overall just a kind person. Very good stopped in on our way back to Michigan. Ordered the fried mac and cheese appetizer. They forgot to send it out so they brought it out after our meal and gave it to us for free. This amazing place located in Scottsburg is an absolute must. This was our first time trying and it definitely won't be our last. The restaurant is very roomy and uniquely decorated with all of their lights being different brands of bourbons and draft beers along with their tables and seating being decorated with the same display and decor as well and it's definitely these little touches that make you keep looking around and finding more. I had the Mac Daddy burger and fries and who ever made this put their heart and soul into it because it was flawless and if I wasn't so stuffed I would have got another right then and there. We have been yhe restuarant befor and was better than todays visit. First we were seated at a booth that the floor was so dirty that it was hard to place your feet under the table. Our waitress seemed new when ask about beer on draft she brought mea well worn paper list. My husband ask for a plain bacon cheese burger. Paying attention to the customers being seated is lacking, today I stopped in Scottsburg for a late lunch. I have driven by this restaurant many times since it opened. I decided I wanted a burger today and pulled in. I was greeted and seated with no problem, this is where lack of communication and paying attention come in. I waited there were three employees in the dinner room off and on, now a table of four are seated, I'm still waiting. I have not been acknowledged and the server goes to the booth next to me and greets them. I got up and left, I consider this rude behavior. I stopped at the cashiers counter and start to tell her what had happened, I was interrupted by the server who ignored me, she rude started to defend herself. To little to late. I got the beer, battered fish with the fried macaroni and cheese and tater tot's. It's nice you can substitute on that meal without extra charge because it sterically comes with fries and slaw which I'm not big on either. My mother just got two sides which are pretty nice for three dollars. She got the baby daddy salad, and an order of onion rings. My partner got the shrimp with some mashed potatoes and a salad. So my fish was a little bit dry and I don't know just kind of clumpy the mac & cheese. Fried was delicious though and I will probably come back and just order one or two or maybe even three orders of that in the future. The tater tots were just OK. Nothing wrong with them Nothing special the dog will be happy. It was a huge order. My mother was taught to say it was mediocre, and the other one thought it was a little better. She did not really like her smashed potatoes, though they had the skins included and didn't have much as far as seasoning. My mother judge the onion rings to be a little bit too much batter and not enough onion. I was informed that the ladies room was clean and well stocked. The shrimp was impressive, a large order. This place was phenomenal. And it was reasonably priced; you expect to pay $12 to $15 for a craft burger, and this was on the lower end of that. On top of that the burgers did not skimp on toppings and the sides were extremely generous; burgers came with a huge mound of fries, the other sandwiches came with a side and a salad, and the chicken tenders came with 2 sides. The food is amazing here!!! I got to town late. I was tired and hungry and did not want to eat fast food. I stumbled across this place and was able to order online. I got the impossible burger and was able to customize it with MANY of options. I got sweet potato fries and I have to say was incredibly impressed!!! I would add a photo but ate it too quickly. Food was fresh, hot and great. Burger was huge and super messy making it awesome! I finished it off with a piece of Reese pie that was divine. I typically don't do dessert but this is worth it!
