We loved our food and service was great. Food was hot and the server was very engaged.

We were pleasantly surprised at how fabulous our dining experience was tonight at the Seymour Applebee's. Our server, Riley, was an absolute sweetheart..she kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. But the food...wow! Our appetizer of loaded waffle fries with beer cheese was delicious. Our entrees were just as good. The fish and chips were stellar! Keep bringing your "A" game Applebees...we'll definitely be back to try other menu items. Side note: the way the staff treated some of the elderly patrons was impressive. The quality and freshness have improved! We had chicken salads were fresh and well prepared. The "bowls " were bigger and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. The chicken was prepared perfectly. We Door Dashed and the vegetables were cold and the protein was warm. read more

I have been to this Applebees several times and for some reason they are not serving beer, I was told because of ownership transfer. The food is great and I enjoy eating at Applebees, but if I can't get a cold beer I have to go elsewhere. The service is great also with the staff they do have there. The restaurant is kept clean and looking nice. I hope they can get the issue of getting a beer resolved. read more

As long as Applebees has been in Seymour it's not changed. The service is tops and the menu has everything a person could want. And the flavor is the best and the price is not bad read more

We went here today. Haven't been here in some time. The wonton tacos were great. The appetizer sampler was ok. Our server was the best. His name was Lucas. There was only two servers for the whole restaurant and that includes the bar tender. Lucas was helpful and friendly. He made our visit. I would give Lucas 10 stars. read more

We have gone here 3 times in three years and every time this happens: 2 hours no one got their food. The food they claimed was "dropped on the ground" or "we thought you ordered this(skillet chicken) when ordering wings....? Also they never remade the food that was "dropped". It takes 1hour to get a drink too. Apparently it's a joke in the town that it's the worst Applebees in the country. How corporate is unaware is mind boggling to me. Well we placed our order at 2:35 on a Sunday afternoon with 6 tables filled. It took 25 mins to get a margarita and a draft beer. We finally got our food at 3:40.. when we said something to the manager about it she walked up with her hat on backwards and didn't really seem to care. It might be understaffed but that is insane! Every time we go in the service gets worse. This time we had been there 30 minutes and still no drinks. The GM was behind us apologizing to another customer because of the service. Meanwhile the waitress was standing around talking. Customers were taking their bills to the bar to pay because no one was coming around to collect. We finally got up and left. read more

15 minutes after being seated, our order was taken. 35 minutes later our food showed up .... Cold and missing items from the order. 10 minutes in between refills for drinks and another 25 minutes for desserts to come out .... Cold. That's an hour and forty five minutes I won't get back and as a result, we won't be back. We stopped by here on a weekday for lunch. We only ordered drinks and bowls of soup. The waitress checked on us often, we were there for a bit working. They do have free WiFi, I was so thankful for this accessibility. The soup was just ok, my friend had the French onion soup and I ordered the steak and black bean soup. They were both just ok. We arrived at the restaurant and was told the wait was 25 minutes When my wife asked about the 6 open tables she was told by the hostess they were only allowed to have 30 menus open. There was about 4 other groups ahead of us. So we left. This is pprobanky the 3rd time we have stopped at this particular location. Each time there has been something kinda off. PSA: don't wast your money going to Apple Bees in Seymour. they can't run a restaurant for crap... took an hour to get our food and the appetizers came at the same time as the entrees. Not impressed at all. When we entered we were not greeted at all. We stood by the front desk for a couple of minuted passed by and ignorex by a couple of servers. No hostess in sight. When she appeared from the back, she asked if someone was taking care of us and rolled her eyes when I said no. That did not give a good impression of the teamwork in the restaurant. As to food, the steak I ordered came undercooked (bloody instead of pink) and then it was overcooked (not pink at all) after she brought it back. The rest of the party seemed to enjoy their antrees. This specific Applebee's was a bit of a disappointment. I wouldn't say the service is horrible, neither was the food. It was the absolute mediocrity that really stung my loving heart. The music was way too loud, could not hear server. It also took an excruciatingly long time to get our food. Other than that it was a culinary delight. The service was o.k. The steak however was cooked so long my leather shoes were softer than the steak. I asked for medium well, and the waitress promptly pointed out that the steak card says there will be red in the middle of the steak--I was o.k. with that. Steak came back blacken, chewy, dry like an old leather shoe. So disappointed. I had two other people with me that had never been to Applebee's. It has been 8 years since I have been there and I will never go back. We were offered to let them cook us another steak and let the others in our party eat, while we watch them, and in turn they could then watch us eat. Unacceptable!! I had mold growing on the top of my water. Mold on the TOP OF MY WATER. My wife's water looked so nasty. It reminded me of the flint water epidemic in Michigan. I can't emphasize this enough. This is the worst restaurant in Seymour Indiana. Period. read more

I wasn't impressed. I wasn't greeted at the door. Two bar tenders didn't notice I sat down. My steak took forever to come out. The shrimp was awful. The bartender said the large ones are better. They were smashed paper thin with no flavor. The steak was ordered medium came out well done. The potatoes had no flavor. I had the same meal at sturgis and it was amazing. I must preface this review with the fact that I have NEVER had good food at any APPLEBEES until now. My boyfriend convinced me to give it one more shot...I'm glad i did last Saturday 9/12/15. We both had the new burgers with the hash browns and egg on them...They were AMAZING! Also came with endless fries which were HOT AND FRESH with each batch. Most notably was our server, Andrea. This location gives other Applebee's a bad name. Me and my fiancé recently visited this location for a lunch date. She said let's do 2 for $20.. I ordered the riblet basket and she ordered the 3 cheese chicken penne. Now I'm a rib kinda guy and these were the worst ribs ever! The sauce was tasty but when you have to dig tiny bones out of your mouth with each COLD! bite it ruins everything. When I say cold I mean the arrived at out table below room temperature. Her chicken penne was just as bad. Colder than my ribs, very little chicken and undercooked noodles. All this made for a unpleasant date. read more

Food here is pretty good. The steak and grains meal is tasty. Drinks are good. The menu changed and seems to have lost a lot of customers to Chili's. The old menu also had several Mexican food items that are no longer available. Variety on the menu could be better. read more

One star because the waitress was horrible. The food was ok. We ordered two of the sandwiches that were supposed to get the endless fries however our waitress never came back to offer more or give us a chance to ask for more. She came back to collect our plates and hand the bill. Also I ordered a water and you'd think with all the salty food they serve they would KNOW to keep the drinks full. But she did not. Only when she dropped the bill did she finally ask if I wanted another water "darlin". Seriously do your job lady, keep the drinks full. It was water for Pete's sake not like you ran out. But instead she was worried about holding down her chair with her bum instead. I had to actually go and find her to pay for the bill. Again she gave us the bill and went and sat on her butt. The store was not busy, the waitress was not working hard, and there was no excuse for the poor service. Note to the store manager, please instruct your staff to keep the drinks flowing. Your food is salty and it is needed. And also if there were sandwiches ordered on the endless fries menu then please have your servers ask if we'd like more fries. It's that easy. read more

This particular location is the worst restaurant I've ever been to, hands down. Waitress took our order and that was the last time we saw her until we got our check. She never checked on us after getting our food, which was brought out by two different staff members who we also had to ask other wait staff for refills. Drinks were left at the bar, not once, but twice (nonalcoholic), I personally had to walk up and get them. They didn't bring all of the food for our 7 year old, he ordered the children's tacos, they left off all the toppings, I asked 3 separate staff members, including the bar staff and hostess, to get the rest of his food, before a fourth person finally brings a large leaf of lettuce and whole slices of tomato (for a sandwich not tacos) which apparently we were supposed to cut up to put on his tacos. Got the check (this was the first time seeing our waitress since taking our order btw), paid with my card, she brings back my card and receipt, I still tipped $5 for literally writing our order down then never coming back at all. Picks up the signed copy before we left, walks away, then brings it back and sits the receipt right in front of me like she was offended. I mean, I got our drinks and I got up several times to get our own food that was left off of the order and still brought to us wrong. I was attempting to write this review on their little handheld device on the table, and right at the end of finishing, the hand held device defaults back to the main screen. Even hearing the frustration in my tone and seeing it on my face I still did not make one open complaint, other than stating that we've asked several times for the full order of our 7yr old's food, I still stayed polite to the staff including our waitress, and trust me I wanted to make a my point known vocally. However, I do know that our frustration did not go unnoticed, but was still ignored. We absolutely will not be back, and most definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone we know. I might add that I'm not opposed to Applebees as a whole, this is literally about this location.
