Came through for a day after Christmas lunch. Huge place with lots of seating. I ordered the 16 oz new york skirt steak with fries and caesar salad. The main reason why this is a 3 is because the steak was sub par. I desired a medium rare, but it was definitely more rare than expected, which is fine. The seasoning was okay, but nothing spectacular. Thankful the fries came with barbeque sauce and the caesar salad was average. One of my favorite things was the bread and the cinnamon butter. They were packed, but the service was fantastic and the waitress was fast, polite, and attentive. We we the first persons seated @ 3 pm and the carpet where we were seated was filthy with sweet potato residue; so no, it wasn't a recent "spill". The table, salt and pepper shakers, and the silverware had crunchy bumps (dried food including lettuce) on them. It took 4 sets of dinnerware before I got an acceptable one and then I cleaned it with my napkin. The food was served on room temperature plates - a no no for serving steaks especially with Filet Mingon. As I left, there were 5 employees standing around the host desk chatting and using their phones while two full cinnamon butter cups, overturned and spilling, were on the carpet. When I pointed it out - they did nothing, so i picked it up and sat it on the desk. I sent two emails, one to the VP of TXRH, and got no response therefore I submitted this review. The steaks when warm are better, best when they are hot, but this Texas Roadhouse location needs a "Come to Jesus" moment to survive. Simply clean the restaurant and retrain the staff on basic best practices in restaurant service and management. Done! read more

We've been waiting over 45 minutes to be seated, despite being told it would only take a few minutes. Communication with the in-house management has been disappointing. We even stopped by at 3 PM to arrange a time to return at 6 PM for our party of 10, but that clearly wasn't honored. At this point, we're debating whether to keep waiting, order delivery, or switch to hibachi. Not impressed especially visiting from Vegas. read more

Went for dinner with my in-laws at this Texas Roadhouse location. When we arrived, my in-laws had already put their name in for our table and were quoted about 30-40 minutes for a wait. I don't know how much time actually passed before getting a table, but I was extremely impressed by how often they were calling people for their tables. It seemed like every 3-5 minutes they were calling back at least 1-2 tables. It was clear from that point forward that this place is a well oiled machine. When we got called back, we immediately were given a couple baskets of their famous rolls and cinnamon butter. Our drink order was also taken, but I stuck to water. Our drinks were brought out quickly. We took a few minutes to explore the menu, and it become evident that I just had to get steak. My fiancé was craving ribs, and neither of us wanted full meals so we shared the 12 oz ribeye and rib combo dinner. I chose a house salad with ranch for my side and he chose a baked potato. My parents in-law shared a bone in ribeye with a two salads, and my brother in law ordered a ribeye with house salad and mashed potatoes. As I was checking into Yelp, I received a free appetizer coupon for fried pickles. We enjoyed those and our salad came out soon after ordering as well. I am a huge Texas Roadhouse salad fan. Their ranch is amazing, and I really appreciated the boiled egg on their salads as well. The fried pickles were tasty, but I will admit they were a bit salty to fully enjoy. Our steaks came out soon after. I'm not well versed in the different cuts of steak so I trusted my in-laws to recommend one for me. We ordered our ribeye medium, and oh my goodness I was so impressed!! I'm not sure I've ever had steak with such a buttery texture. It was literally melt in your mouth quality, and the flavor profile was perfect. I am insane so I added Tabasco sauce to it, but even without that spice the seasoning was just perfect. The ribs were equally as melt in your mouth worthy. They definitely fell off the bone and were easy to eat. I'm not a huge rib fan so I just had a piece of one, but the texture was amazing and the sauce was a great blend of sweet and salty. The baked potato definitely earned an award for supporting side. We didn't get it loaded, but the butter was enough. The skin was perfectly crispy while the potato was soft and creamy. I dipped the potato into ranch and was especially impressed. I didn't take photos of the other meals, but my family was impressed all around! One thing that we talked about a lot is that they are incredibly efficient. The servers are always moving and doing something, and everyone in the restaurant has an important role in turning over tables. People are willing to wait so long for a table because they know their service is going to be amazing and their food will be fresh. We were trying to guess how many people are served in a single Saturday, but we couldn't even fathom it! Their prices are very reasonable for being a steak house. For four people, the bill was about $119, but that was considering that a couple people got beers with refills. If you're going for a date night, I recommend getting a combo meal and splitting it if you're okay with not having leftovers. Personally, I don't think leftovers from here would be as good as in the restaurant. read more

Despite multiple complaints from all over the Columbus community to management over the last year of their severely declining food, quality and service standards there has been no improvement and it continues to get worse. I was in the area, driving through Indiana, as one tends to do on holiday roadtrips. I pulled up to Texas Roadhouse, and due to the pandemic, they had very limited seating. Even though I was there early in the evening, they said it would take at least two hours just to get seating for one, and they couldn't guarantee even a spot to be open at the bar. I put my name on the list and they said they'd call me when something opened up. Fast forward over an hour and I'm getting antsy. I have nothing else to do and I'm getting quite hungry. I've also already wandered the aisle of Menard's so there's not much going on in my life. I download the app to my phone and just place an order to go. It was ready within 20 minutes, and they brought it out to my eager arms in my car. I took it back to my hotel, and even though the knife they gave me was way too flimsy to cut the steak, it ended up being a nice meal. Lesson learned, however. As I parked my little Subaru WRX in a row of Ford Dualies, I wondered what poor life decisions led me to this Texas Roadhouse in Columbus Indiana. I AM NOT THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE. I am a yankee city boy waiting for a table in a sea of mullets. Even the toddlers wore cowboy boots (which was pretty cool). Texas Roadhouse isn't winning any Michelin stars. But what makes this Texas Roadhouse different is the quality, service and consistency. The lettuce in my Caesar salad was crisper than many three times the price. The chicken was prepared perfectly and the sweet potato - chef's kiss. The staff - from checkin, to my server, to clearing tables - were friendly and attentive. Even though there was an hour wait, I never felt rushed. I had a great time. Texas Roadhouse converted this yankee. read more

Texas Roadhouse - we miss you :) I've only been to one Texas Roadhouse - in NY- about ten years ago. So I was flying blind when my better half suggested this one in Columbus except I knew they had steak. We stayed at the Fairfield hotel (literally across the parking lot - if you have a strong throwing arm, you could hit the place with a ball, is so close). TR (Texas Roadhouse) has some sort of "waitlist" app - extremely user friendly. App said 10-20 minutes wait so we strolled across the parking lot from the hotel. I hadn't eaten all day (except for a Starbucks latte) so I was ready for food. Super nice counter help at check in. Said had a few more minutes wait. Better half - oh so smart he is - asked if we could sit in the bar instead. Yes. We went in and had our food in front of us before our name was called - and again wait was not that long at all. We went two nights - sat at the bar both times. Was a great time all around. Is the perfect location from the hotel. We both had steaks. He added chicken one night and I added shrimp. Steaks were medium.....his was a tiny bit past medium second night. Mine were perfect both nights. I think a tiny bit better second night (which was a Friday). There is a very fine line tipping point on medium and we were happy with our meals. Portions were generous. Beer and wine were our drinks. Prices good. Staff checked back often. Staff - you are awesome. Fun, attentive, alert and aware. We hated to leave Columbus. Thank you for taking such good care of us. TR also has a very nicely done "holding room" next to the main entrance - with benches and a staff member smoothly herding you in. I used to work here and don't get me wrong the food is good but the morale is kind of weird. a lot of the workers sleep around with each other and kind of act weird. I've caught some of them spit in food a few times as well as smoke weed and vapes in the back room. I would say it's a good place for adults going nowhere to work. but please do not let your children work here read more

Took my husband, 2 sons and sister tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was so disappointing. We had to ask the server (Alex) for butter twice. It took over 10 minutes to get extra dressing and we had to flag down a manager to get it. My food was cold as well as my husband's. My sister's potato was undercooked and overall we left feeling very unhappy. We had to ask for drink refills. Honestly, we were there early before the dinner rush. When the bill came she had left the complimentary appetizer on the bill and had to ask to have it removed. Never asked if we wanted dessert either. Overall we will not be back for a very long time. This is your typical Texas Roadhouse. It wasn't anything too special. The service was okay. We made it in time for early dine in so that's always a plus. The food came out really fast since it was right before the dinner rush. I got the sirloin fried steak with mashed potatoes and a salad with honey French dressing. I'm not a big salad person but I really enjoyed that salad. That was the best part of the meal. The only part that I would suggest making some changes to would be service. The server was did an okay job, but not super personable. Just doing what she has to do but seemed rushed. I wish she would've asked us if we wanted the check split since there were 3 of us. Consistently delivers mediocre food and good service. I can't believe the wait is always SO long for any and every Texas Roadhouse location! It always makes me think I need to be there. And I go once every 2 years or so and am reminded why I don't go more often. Cactus blossom was sitting in literally 1/2 inch of oil. I know it's fried, I know it's not supposed to be healthy. But goodness sakes! Let it drain for a minute before putting it in the bowl! Steaks were way over cooked (medium well sirloin had no pink at all and was dry) and chicken critters had uncooked batter because it was so heavy.
