I asked multiple times if it had tomatoes. I order no tomatoes and brown rice..... the gm who waited on me wouldn't give me any number. No reimbursement whatsoever!!! I went back in around 8:30 since my husband loves it and he wanted it for dinner and they had no rice and they couldn't find my receipt from earlier!!!

Like Cajun ? Like Creole? Then this is the place! Very clean, very friendly and a decent selection of dishes (and combinations) to choose from. I got the Chili Cheese Etoufee with crawfish. Served over rice with a side of oil-seasoned bread. Awesome! I'll have to go again and try something else. Stay tuned...!

Yats is a great, quick cajun option when you're short on time or money. Heck, it's the only Cajun option within 50 or so miles, so eat here even if your wallet is overflowing and you have all the time in the world. The daily selections can change a bit, but my favorite is the Macques-Choux and the B&B, both of which are slightly sweet and spicy, and contain a fair amount of corn. The Gumbo is nice as well. The bread is addictively dangerous...you can order extra if you are so inclined. Yats is also is a great place to come for live music for Second Saturdays, when the second Saturday of each month from 7pm-10pm they have an open mic night and various local people come out to play. It's great to watch people who have normal day jobs break out and sing. There's some serious talent around here, and it's always a good time.

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

The homemade chips were delicious as well, they were not all super crispy and I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. All food was great!!! The diner is nice and quiet and the food feels like home. Our server was fun and very welcoming. I didn't catch her name and I feel bad about that. We will be back to try other items for sure.

The decor is country with country music playing in the background. Holly, our server, was friendly, engaging and attentive. She checked on us regularly. Food came out super quickly. They offer daily lunch specials and have a standard breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered a vegetable omelette that was filled with onions, peppers and tomatoes and my choice of cheese. The omelette was large, light and perfectly cooked. The star of the breakfast for me was the marbled rye toast which was delicious. My husband had the Rise and Shine breakfast which was a hearty meal with two perfectly cooked eggs, a homemade biscuit, hash browns and a meat which he chose bacon. He would have preferred the bacon to be a little more crisp, but the breakfast was, overall, a winner. The assorted jellies were a hit. Price were really reasonable. They were half full during our early morning visit, but the noise level is high. The restaurant is an easy/fast two miles off the highway. There is also plenty of parking around the building. The restrooms are super clean and nice.

Alexis made it herself. -- When I asked Alexis her secret, she said that she starts by making an Ice Cream /Root Beer base like a milk shake, adds more ice cream and tops everything off with more root beer. Those cookies in the bakery case looked awesome.
