Solid solid breakfast option for anyone! Love the Yelp waitlist option - game changer imo and not sure why more places don't offer it. The portions are plentiful and love their take on "hashbrowns". My only qualm was that my hashbrowns weren't very warm at all. read more

My family and I have been coming for years and received good food and good service. We unfortunately just had to leave because we arrived a party of 9 (4 kids), we were waiting for about 10 minutes when 2 more groups arrived. A smaller one and another group of 10. We were on the yelp waitlist 1st in line and I saw both groups after us. They sat the group of 10 before us (maybe 5 mins after they arrived) even though we had been waiting for 10+ minutes when they even first arrived. We decided to leave and our table wasn't even finished being set up and the other group had already been sat for a few minutes. When we told hostess they said it depended on group size but I told them, it was basically the same group size so that makes no sense. While we were driving away we barely got the message our table was ready. It's really unfortunate this happened because we go to sunshine at least 2-3x a month as it's one of our favorite spots so we feel really disappointed. read more

Location; Cave Creek and 101, just north of the 101 on the east side of the Cave Creek. Parking is limited, make sure to park in allocated parking spots. Super small and cute location. Expect a wait, as popular spot. Food; Egg Benedict can be cooked to order, this trip was pretty good but may have ordered it with bacon which changing it up may not have been a wise choice. Lemon ricotta pancake is delicious, you should order to share as its large. YUMMY! Also, try the Mimosa flight, they have many different flavors. Service; SUPER friendly and outgoing! read more

Probably the best breakfast I've ever had! The service was impeccable and the food was to die for! I got the classic eggs Benedict which was cooked perfectly, as was everything my family got: croissant sandwich, country eggs Benedict and the chicken fried steak. We also got the mimosa flight with peach, strawberry rosé, pine berry, and prickly pear flavors- all amazing and very good sized glasses! As a Spring Training visitor... I randomly found this place and stopped by for a quick breakfast. From the host seating me till the time I left... this place has clearly has a "customer first" mindset. Host smiled and made eye contact, I was seated right away, greeted immediately by Raya (my server), quick to anticipate what I needed, check ins, meaningful conversations, quick to get me the bill and gracious when I left. All these things while the place was humming with people. Authentic people who love to serve others, teamwork with the staff, and food was fantastic. I came back the next day... because it was worth feeling Sunshine-Love! High marks from me. (and ask for Raya... she's the best!) JT read more

I hesitate to leave a positive review only because I don't want Sunshine to get too crowded. They serve the best pancakes in existence and if you don't like pancakes it's only because you haven't had pancakes here. The rest of the menu is also solid but why even bother when you can have the best flapjacks you'll ever eat. They're just like grandma used to make, assuming grandma was a cook at Sunshine. The only thing better than the golden brown miracle batter is the service. Specifically Raya, who is the Michael Jordan of her craft. That's not a knock on the rest of the staff who are outstanding in their own right. Raya just so happens to be the GOAT!! The parking is suboptimal so you should probably stay home so I don't have to wait in line ‍ read more

I have been searching for years to find a place for breakfast with culinary expertise. I can now stop looking. The Yolk Café is hands down the best made breakfast in town. Its not even close really. The Bloody Mary comes with a garden of vegetables and the most delicious vodka infused bacon. Its a meal of its own. I judge breakfast places by one thing..... Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was perfect, but most importantly the eggs were poached perfectly. The yolks were warm and runny but the whites were totally set. Why can't anyone else do this consistently? The ham was ample and salty. The muffins were well......muffins. This was the best eggs benedict I have ever had. My guest had a great omelet and some real sourdough toast. The potato sides were well seasoned and a little different than everyone else's. Every single staff member that walked by asked us if we needed anything. They really care about service. You must try this place for breakfast! They are tops! read more

Sadly I can't recommend Sunshine BB. We went yesterday having it on our "must try" list. First I must say that the hostess Julie is wonderful, she was caring and concerned that I might have been injured by the item found in my breakfast. Not only was my order poorly prepared as my medium eggs were barely warm and runny BUT the potatoes had an unpleasant addition. After Julie took my find to the kitchen they identified it as a part of a metal bag tie. Yikes. In reflection I wonder how this went unnoticed by chef, plater and waitress. I grant you they're busy but no excuses. They did not charge for my uneaten meal but did charge for my husband's lemon pancakes which were delicious. Considering the circumstances I think both our meals should have been comped so we only paid our waitress. Thank you Julie for your professional and caring aid. read more

Title: A Breakfast Gem with Friendly Staff and Heavenly Chai Lattes! 5 out of 5 stars If you're searching for a delightful breakfast spot with outstanding service, look no further! The Breakfast Bar has captured my heart with their warm hospitality and scrumptious offerings. From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh boy, their Eggs Benedict were out of this world! The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and velvety. I couldn't help but savor every bite. It's evident that the kitchen takes great pride in preparing top-notch dishes. But the real star of the show was their Chai Latte. I consider myself a chai enthusiast, and their version is a dream come true. The balance of spices was spot-on, and the steamed milk added a lovely creaminess. It was so good that I couldn't resist ordering a second cup! The cozy ambiance and charming decor added to the overall charm of this gem. It's a place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a peaceful morning. Whether you're a local looking for a regular breakfast spot or a traveler passing through town, I highly recommend The Breakfast Bar. Their friendly staff, great Egg Benedict, and amazing Chai Latte make it a must-visit destination for breakfast lovers. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable menu. Bon appétit! read more

Sometimes it absolutely amazes me what people will complain about. Some girl that posted was offended and felt she was being profiled as a bilingual hispanic, and persecuted because she was overcharged on a minimum party gratuity because one person didn't show? Jesus, are you kidding me. This person that posted the review, who's name begins with an "A", compliments the food as excellent, but the service was bad ? Seriously stop, just stop ! You have no idea what you are talking about, not a clue. Every single server that works there is outstanding, and nobody attends that restaurant more than I do, so yes, I have the right to say what is not an opinion, but a fact, period. Jodie, Nathan, Key, Tonya, Ava, Bree, Raya, Julie, Lexie, Arlo, and several more work their tails off to please every single person that walks in to eat. These are not servers, they are family, so do me a favor ? Don't say anything to criticize this group of extraordinary people. If you were really in the service industry, you should understand how hard waiting tables on people who complain over nothing is, or others that try to play the race card when it is not applicable. The best thing to be done here is to take that post down, it is absolutely erroneous and an unfair judgement of people who work so hard and do nothing but show others kindness, and sometimes to others that dont even deserve it. The food and service is outstanding, end of story! Please be kind, dont be cruel or fabricate to fit your feelings, thank you, J read more

Overall rating: 4/5 Wait: 4.5/5 Arrival time: Saturday 8:30am rsvp Food: 4/5 Order: caramel latte, orange juice, banana pecan pancakes, breakfast croissant Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Worth it, would come back I recently visited Sunshine Breakfast Bar on a Saturday morning at 8:30am with a reservation, and overall I had a good experience. The wait time was not bad, considering the busy weekend rush, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I would give the wait time a 4.5 out of 5. As for the food, I tried the caramel latte and orange juice which were both delicious and refreshing. However, the banana pecan pancakes were not quite to my taste, so I would suggest trying the French toast instead. The croissant was good and definitely worth a try. The service was efficient and friendly, though at times it felt a bit rushed. The prices were reasonable and fair, given the quality and variety of food and drinks offered. Overall, I would rate my experience at Sunshine Breakfast Bar as 4 out of 5. I would recommend giving it a try and would definitely come back for more. read more

I recently visited Sunshine Breakfast Bar and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly service. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so inviting and cozy, it felt like I was dining in a friend's kitchen. I ordered a coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The barista really knew their stuff and made the perfect cup of joe. The food was equally as impressive. I ordered the avocado toast and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Sunshine Breakfast Bar. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food and coffee were exceptional. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch spot. read more

We had a fantastic brunch at Sunnyside Breakfast Bar! From the moment we sat down, D took great care of us and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I ordered the Sunnyside Burger, and it may honestly be one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful, and exceeded all expectations. Suzanne had the veggie omelet along with a caramel mocha, and she couldn't stop talking about how delicious they were. She said they were absolutely amazing. Between the outstanding food, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere, this was a brunch we'll definitely be coming back for. We just spent a week in Phoenix. First day in Phoenix we were looking for breakfast. Thank goodness we found Yolk Cafe. We ate there every morning for seven days. There were 5 of us and we tried something different everyday. Eggs Benedict, Apple Crumb pancakes, Blueberry and Bacon Pancakes, Avocado Toast, Omelettes and the POTATOES!!! Portions were more than you can eat. The STAFF are wonderful, so happy and great with the customers. On our last day our waiter gave a two huge cinnamon rolls as a thank you. We arrived on a Saturday at 11:30 and got a bar seat within 5 minutes. Our food was served just 5 minutes after ordering. The service was excellent. I had the breakfast yogurt parfait, while my wife ordered avocado toast with bacon and two eggs. Both dishes were tasty; the bacon was thick and not overly crispy. My parfait had Greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas, a drizzle of honey, and granola--simple but delicious. Sunshine Breakfast Bar is a charming little spot for breakfast and brunch. It's a popular place, so it gets busy quickly. I had the chicken fried steak, and it was fantastic! To wash it down, I tried a refreshing breakfast mule, which paired perfectly with the meal. So first, the entire staff was super friendly, welcoming, and just all around great. The seating is tight, I never felt like we had space for the food and drinks. This made it a bit hard to just sit and enjoy everything. The best part for sure was their Eggs Benedict and we split the Chicken Fried Steak. The Eggs Benedict was perfect but the Chicken Fried Steak was so-so. Overall it was tasty but not amazing. Great spot for a quick bite considering the spacing. read more

A fairly contemporary breakfast spot is Sunshine Breakfast Bar. The meal arrives quite quickly. Additionally, the servers are lovely. Only a few things bother me. The food is really pricey. Our server suggested extra crispy, which he enjoyed. - Mexicana Omelette (no onions and sauce on the side) with hashbrowns + pancake: A recommended dish by our server as I was undecided. We were seated fairly quickly ( less than 15 min) on a weekday morning and sat outside to avoid the cacophony of indoor conversations. Beverages: Decent. Kids got the fresh squeezed orange juice (lot of pulp), and a strawberry banana smoothie that didn't taste like real fruit though the menu stated it, and had a weird texture that coats the throat. Breakfast: Kids had the scrambled eggs which were reminiscent of the ones found at a hotel continental breakfast; wet and unnatural tasting. Apple Cinnamon Pancakes looked unappealing and tasted just as disappointing - regular pancakes with what looked like a can of apple pie filling dumped unceremoniously on top. Banana Cream Pancakes had decent banana slices but the "cream" was an odd glaze that had a chalky aftertaste. New Mexico Skillet with over easy eggs: Eggs were drenched in oil yet, remarkably, the best part of this dish. The hash browns were sliced rounds of undercooked, unseasoned potatoes. They were topped with onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, all unseasoned and dismally soft. It was sprinkled with cheese, and a pile of chorizo just dumped in one spot on the plate. Certainly seemed cooked separately as nothing meshed on the plate. Oh, and a few sad pieces of underripe avocado. This American cuisine was devoid of character and taste.
