1st of all, we (a party of 5) were greeted & seated promptly. Shortly thereafter, our waiter, Jason C, came over to introduce himself. He was friendly, attentive & addressed all of our requests & needs (i.e., order modifications & lowering the blinds) without hesitation. Jason was very amicable & made all of us feel welcome & appreciated. The food was excellent especially the Gulf Snapper Throats. They were fried to perfection (crunchy exterior, moist interior & not oily) & were delicious. Second visit, first review. Great place to watch a sunset, but tonight I ate at the bar because I had an early dinner and it was too hot outside. I sat at the right end of the bar. The bar top is rather wonky, poorly finished with voids throughout. The right side of the bar, behind the bar, is also where the bartenders wash dishes, and throw away trash. I would not recommend sitting in this area. I ordered the red snapper throats and unfortunately they ran out of them earlier that day at lunchtime. I went with the blackened gulf coast shrimp instead, and they were good. They were served with green beans and polenta. I also added a side of the grilled slaw, which was awesome. They have a full bar and a nice selection of local craft drafts. Service was great. read more

Love the food here! There is a nice variety to select from on the menu and the food is always cooked and seasoned well. The staff are friendly and service is efficient. One of my favorite places in Fairhope! It's always consistent and delicious. Gorgeous sunsets, good eats, and creative, yummy drinks. My favorite part is getting to see Billy and Jason behind the bar. Always welcoming, always fun- best drinks in town. Specifically Billy makes my favorite margarita. On Saturday, I made a quick trip in for a late afternoon marg. The first one was the usual deliciousness. The second one he made was incredible. I mentioned loving a new version, a spicy strawberry margarita I had tried over at Kingfisher. Well, Billy whipped one up on the fly that was even better! Such a treat. I'm pretty sure I've reviewed this place before but we eat here a lot and I tried something different. The ribeye sandwich was so tender and delicious I'd definitely recommend that. They always have drink specials and the Paloma was a good choice. Our server was on point and very friendly. We have been going to Sunset Pointe since it opened. Gorgeous view and a pretty cool spot. Unfortunately, the food and drink quality is no where near what it used to be. Food is bland and the cocktails are ridiculously sweet to the point you can't even enjoy the drink. I feel like Sunset Pointe has become an afterthought for Pete. I wish they would mix up the menu, too. Menu hasn't changed in years. I'm not sure what's going on but I really hope they can get it back to what it used to be. read more

Perfect view of the water at, you guessed it, sunset. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area. We enjoyed a dinner with the seared ahi nachos, snapper throats and craft cocktails. Nachos were fantastic. They had an edamame cream on top and the tuna was cooked perfectly. The chip had a great crunch and flavor as well. Snapper throats were a nice blend of buttery flakiness. They are seasonal so not always available, but luckily tonight they were. Cocktails are also seasonal, we had the old fashioned and Through the looking glass. The Through the looking glass tasted like an amazing apple cider. Very good. Old fashioned was also perfect, and quite strong. Definitely pop in early for the views! Highly recommend. Wow! Having dinner before an overnight Sleep Study in Fairhope Alabama, and I live in Pensacola. Yelped my way here, what a great choice. Coastal atmosphere inspite of the cooler temps. Caroline was very pleasant and attentive. Starting with the Alabama Whiskey Old Fashioned, wetting my whistle while searching the menu. Crab Meat Balls, and BBQ Shrimp were delicious and perfectly complimented the Old Fashioned. BBQ Shrimp were cooked perfect with a Savory less sweet sauce which I enjoyed. A hint of spice but I like more spice. Crab Meat Balls lightly breaded, moist pearls of succulent Crab meat and seasoned just right. I wasn't sure I could eat anything else until I found the Blackened Snapper Throats. I'm a big fan of Hamachi Kama (Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Collar) and had to try the Snapper version. So glad I did. Blackened just right, crispy skin and seasonings made way to beautiful moist white fish. So delicious! Cleansed my palette with the local Fairhope Causeway IPA. Great Find, Great Food, I will be bringing my wife back just for the experience. read more

We stopped in for dinner on a Monday night and sat at the bar to eat. Many people go for the sunset views which I'm sure are spectacular but we arrived when it was dark. The restaurant was not very busy. We ordered appetizers of grouper bites, cauliflower with white bbq sauce, Snapper throats and bouillabaisse. The best part of the meal was the snapper throat just wish we had received more than one. The cauliflower was tasty with the bbq sauce but could have been cooked a little longer. It was pretty hard. The grouper bites, while cooked perfectly, tasted a little old. Fresh fish would have made all the difference! The bartender forgot to order the bouillabaisse so pushed the kitchen to rush it. Again, ok but nothing that would make you return for more. read more

The location is amazing. Beautiful sunsets! However we thought food was mediocre. We also ordered drinks, which took at least 15 minutes to get to us. My top shelf margarita was quite different. Came with no ice and in a short little martini type glass. Didn't taste any grand marnier in it at all. Waitress was very pleasant. We did not complain mainly because we enjoyed each other's company.
