I visited this park twice to see the new Art installation. The first time I visited it was not complete. It was complete when I recently visited. The article I had read about it indicated there was a 20 x 3' periscope to observe the Everglades. I did not see that anywhere. It does face the Everglades but you see more of the expressway. There were no signs describing the installation. It is cool looking but really nothing more. There are a lot of lights along the walkway up to the to of the installation I bet it looks cool lit up but the park closes at dusk so not sure if anyone would see it. The park itself is nice and well kept with plenty of parking. There is a nice playground for kids which has shade cover. There is a short walking path and shelters for rent.

My six year old and I always go to parks around town, and around surrounding cities. Today, we decided to go to a random one from Yelp. We liked the randomness of the artsy bridge that leads to a sculpture looking structure. The covered playground was fun. Even though it poured we stayed dry enough to play. We will be back with our little friends.

Sunset Point Park looks like a great park. It sits just east of the Sawgrass Expressway. Amenities include a multipurpose trail with exercise stations, shelters with grills, wetlands nature study kiosk, a universal / ADA playground with shade cover, small amphitheater, and restrooms. The park opened in 2004 and in 2015 the park received a renovation with a new playground, picnic shelter, and fitness stations. In February of 2020, increased use of the park led the city to consider enlarging the parking lot and improving the restrooms. After shopping at the mall I still had a few rings to close on my watch and decided to come here to finish exercising for the day. I am sure this would have been a five star review but unfortunately I was greeted with a locked fence and a sign that said all Tamarac City Parks were being closed beginning 7/15/20. Thanks Covid. Welcome to living in the states epicenter. I ended up going down the road to the Sawgrass Trailhead at Atlantic Boulevard. a place I absolutely love. I had a great hike, saw three alligators, and it is the best place in Broward County to see the sunset. Much better than even a place called Sunset Point Park. Having gotten the cold shoulder from the City of Tamarac, I'll stick to the Everglades and the Atlantic Boulevard Trailhead.

Sunset Point Park is a nice little park in Tamarac! It's clean including the restrooms and newly renovated. They have a nice playground for children and running trails. I went to a picnic there underneath a shelter for that purpose. Its' efficiency was well tested by a big storm going through. It held up well, no leaks! Although it effectively ended the picnic. I was ready to leave anyway. The grills seemed to function nicely. There was no entry charge. I appreciated that. Sunset Point Park is a fun, beautiful park that is not overused and is just waiting for you to try it for your next outing!

Great little park with pavilions to have a party. There is a grill next to the pavilion, just bring charcoal. The pavilion we used had multiple tables underneath it. There is a large playground with a sunscreen cover. There are workout stations also for adults. There are about 10 paved parking spots and the rest of people need to park on grass. If all the pavilions were in use, there would be a parking problem. The day we went, we were the only ones there so parking wasn't an issue for our 40 people. You pay $60 to rent the pavilion. Plus you put down a deposit, which you get back if you leave it clean. The bathrooms are extremely well kept. Overall, it's a great little park with easy access and no entrance fee for visitors.

This park should be free to use but you to pay to use the pavilion and grills that's really sad.

Love this park, especially the glider...it's really fun. The kids love it. Parking can be limited. It's a busy place on weekends.

The first thing I noticed was the big, covered playground.

So glad some friends told us about this place awhile back when we were talking about places to take the grandkids in the future. But even if you're just a kid at heart, You may want to visit here. Wear your bathing suit. It's easy to find. And there's ample free parking out front. Mid week when we stopped by it wasn't very busy. But if I had kids, I'd be here every weekend -- especially in our recent hot weather. First and foremost is the interactive water/splash pad. So many machines spraying water, buckets dumping, etc etc. The three kids there were squealing with joy and excitement. Such fun. There's also a story walk/trail for children with various stops plus a regular walking trail. A covered playground with equipment for kids. A Volleyball sand court; basketball court; grills; picnic areas... all with a large swath of green grass in the middle -- perfect for events/concerts. On the south end is the canal C-14 with a fishing pier. More "waters edge" as in the name. And also for adults, there's a covered area right near the water with all sorts of gym/exercise equipment. Don't know what more you could want except maybe a few more resting benches along the main trail for the older folks... Go check it out. Bring the kids.

Featured at the entrance are children's water fountains and refreshing jets of water! Fitness equipment, a short fishing pier, picnic grills and other amenities abound in this beautiful and well maintained park.
