This is one of my favorite parks. This park has two playgrounds and an outdoor gym. This is park is always very well kept and you will love to take a nice nature walk here. The whole loop around the park is one mile. What I love about this park that even if it is a hot day you have so much shade from the trees that you will not feel hot and you also feel the breeze from the lake as well. If you would like to rent a shelter if you would like to do birthday or baby shower. You are allowed to ride a bike through the trail but it is narrow and you will have to share the trail with the people that are walking. This park is surrounded by a beautiful lake that some people use to fish. I have noticed that they offer boat rentals but I don't ever see it operational. This park has a lot of trees, birds, squirrels, iguanas and fish. You leave this park feeling super relaxed. read more

We visit this Park as we were volunteering picking up air potatoes. However we did get to enjoy the Park after we finished volunteering period this Park is so peaceful. We were able to hang out near the water there's a huge lake and seats around the whole park where you can sit and view the lake. There was a kids playground which my son enjoyed hanging out and playing in. They also have fitness machines in different areas of the Park. Came to this park for the first time on Easter & it was so nice. They have lots of trees and trails for a nice walk. A playground for the kids, free parking, the bathroom was clean. The best part was the little boat you can peddle yourself onto the water. $3 every $30 you can't beat that !! The lake was small but my legs were burning from peddling so it was okay for me lol. They only thing that was not great were the life vest. They can use some new ones ASAP! I will do the boat ride again and take some food/ snacks so I can sit in the middle of the lake and enjoy a view. I came to investigate this park in my pursuit of finding somewhere closer to home to exercise. I had previously been to this park at night when my daughter volunteered here for the Haunted Hamptons event that is held every year near Halloween when they transform the park into a haunted trail. This is a popular event that brings out a lot of people from the community. This was my first day visit. There are two parts of the parking lot. Part of the lot is on one side of the canal and then you cross the bridge to get into the park or you can drive across the canal by going to the left side of the lot and then you can park closer to the park which is probably safer. This park has some great amenities. At the center of the park is a large lake. Along the lake are 7 pavilions or shelters that come with water, electricity, and grills and anyone can rent them. In addition there is a indoor community center that can be rented for parties by North Lauderdale residents only. Running along the lake is a hiking, walking, biking trail that has exercise stations. The park has two playgrounds and two beach volleyball pits. The lake has various boats for rent on the weekends. If you are licensed you can fish the lake. This is very picturesque park. The lake is lovely and the trails running around it are great for exercising. I really enjoyed my walk today. I would like to come back on a weekend and rent a paddle boat. read more

This park was beautiful in terms of the trees and amazing plants it has. Great for toddlers as well and super clean , despite the time of the year. It has been very well taken care of by the staff and they're all beyond nice. I highly recommend you go earlier in the day if going on the weekend. Used to live close by and this was my go to park for running and walking. Maybe the size of 2 tracks give or take, but a cool location because it's a slice of trees and nature right in the middle of the traffic and congestion of the area. They have a lake/pond in the middle where you can rent pedal-boats for 2. There are usually birthdays and celebrations or family day outings during the weekends, which can be rented out for a fee. There are also several children's park setups with the monkey bars and slides, etc. It does close after about 6pm so that's good, I guess for safety reasons. But definitely a little retreat!! read more

Ok I still like this park but I came here again with friends around 4pm on Thursday and we noticed a few odd things. First, while pulling into the lot there were about 3 cars parked with men sitting in them. They could've been waiting for someone, but we found it odd seeing men randomly sitting in cars. Second, there were a lot of men in the park that worked there and looked somewhat shady. There were also many single men walking/jogging that day. The ratio seemed to be 3 men to every woman. Am I just being paranoid? Maybe so but with any public place I would simply suggest being aware of your surroundings- especially when walking on the paths that are more hidden within the park. I say it's best to come here weekend mornings/early afternoons. There was also a bulletin board with a sexual predator's pic and info on it. Please beware! read more

I live a 5 minute walk away from this park. I bought my house back in February and since then I've said I would go here. I finally decided to go inside yesterday. It's beautiful! This park is very well preserved and the trees are as tall as the eye can see. There's a small playground, shelters to rent, a running trail, kayaks and small boats to rent, bikes to rent, so much! I'm so glad it's preserved so well, they've done an amazing job. I had a very relaxing walk with my boyfriend yesterday. I plan on coming back tonight to run the fitness trail in there! read more

This is a lovely little hidden park. It's not a small glorified playground, like so many of the parks in our area. This is a woodland getaway, with a variety of trees and birds. There is a very pretty trail for walking or running, a picturesque lake and other scenic attributes. You can even rent paddle boats or kayaks for about $5 an hour. There is also a fitness course, so you can do your workout in fresh air. On the more "usual" side, there are several good sized picnic pavilions with electricity and grills. There are two sand volleyball pits, but they could use some upgrading. Of course there are play areas for the little ones. There is lots of parking, which is also a nice change for our local parks. So, go check it out and have a great time! read more

This Park rarely opens on time, used not to be that way but I have noticed the regular opener is no longer there. It opened at 7:39am this morning and a staff member was sitting in plain view, There were 4 vehicles in parking lot. The main gate to the parking lot opened at 7:31am so why not open the park gate right after? Also, what has the playground equipment been off limits for so long? Yellow tape has been on that 1 section since I 1st arrived here in January. And how about straightening the poles and replace the net on the volleyball court? It is in very poor condition. Hamptons Park is a 32-acre gem of a park for the locals living in or near North Lauderdale. Not a glorified playground, Hamptons is classified as a woodland park that is brimming with shady trees such as slash pines and cypress trees. In its center is a scenic lake that has a walking path around it and various park benches. You can rent canoes, paddle boats, etc. for less then $5/hr. Park pavilions are popular with families throwing barbeque birthday parties. Inside, there a few volleyball sand lots. There are small nature trails that wind around the park along with small, well-maintained tot playgrounds for the kids to play. Lotsa folks go here to go running or bicycling around. Also, every year, there's a Halloween haunted house situated at the park that lots of teens and kiddies go to for family fun. read more

We went tonight for the haunted hamptons Halloween thing they do every year . This was our first time, lots of families of all ages here . It says 7pm-9pm opening but it's really at sunset, people start lining up from 6:30pm though. It takes a while to get in, pay and get lined up with a group with a guide in front and back to walk you through the whole haunted trail. Takes about 10 minutes to walk through. Has scary decor, smoke machines, strobe lights, haunted sounds and people in masks and chainsaws jumping out at you which is pretty cool. It's worth the $5! Only complaint is my guide in the back was talking excessively and loud the entire then ! ruined some of the surprises and killed the anticipation scare in some of changing theme tents. And she used foul Language a couple times right in front of my daughter . Hopefully this was just a one time thing and the young staff is trained in the future on how not to ruin the fun and language . We still Enjoyed it , I would Like to jog that path in the daytime sometime, seems like a nice park . read more

Hampton Pines Park is an excellent place to bring your children and family for it's playgrounds, boat rides, and outdoor parties. Even though it's not a pet friendly environment you can also enjoy its trails that leads all around the park. read more

I've watched this park grow for 10+ years. After the Hurricanes in 2006 destroyed a large portion of it, they used that to make the park look even better. It's a nice sized park. You can fish, rent paddle boats and kayaks. There are big playgrounds for children and pavilions you can rent for parties, etc. They have a nice paved trail for walkers, runner's and cyclists. There's also a fitness trail with different workouts and mostly located in the shade. They have sand volleyball courts. The water fountain at the entry is pretty cold which is great! They have vending machines for drinks and snacks. Despite there being less trees from the storms there is still a lot of shade areas. I love that they added a side gate that opens earlier for people who want an early walk, run or moment to relax in quiet before the main gates open. No charge for parking or entry is also really nice. They also put on a great Haunted Park event during Holloween every year. read more

This is a great park for adults and kids. There are two playgrounds with a variety of slides, seesaws, swings and climbing apparatus. You can rent peddle boats, go fishing or feed the ducks. The park has good trails to run, walk or bike and work out equipment is available at different locations along the trail. Hampton park is a very beautiful park. The peace and tranquility I feel after leaving this park never seizes to amaze me However, the service from the recreational workers sucks really bad. My baby's first birthday is less than a month away and the park is still closed, after hurricane Irma . I really don't want to have it anywhere else and now I'm stressed because no one returns any of my calls. They never do... when I would call to inquire about shelters and pavilions (months before I was able to reserve a day), they would rarely answer and if I left a VM they would never call back. You'd be lucky if you get someone one the line. This is stressing me out I just want to know if the park will be open. It's time I get everything in order read more

I mean, yes, it's just a park, but is it really JUST a park. This review will seem stupid on so many levels to anyone who can't sympathize with my hatred of offices. I guess I'll start there. I HATE offices. Absolutely abhor them. I don't think man was meant to be confined. I watch these Westerns with their beautiful, wide-angle, all-encompassing shots and their lonely cowboys riding along the plains with nothing beyond what their saddles can hold, and I think to myself, "If Sheriff John T. Chance ever had to be relegated to a cubicle, Rio Bravo would have ended much more morbidly." So Hampton Pines Parks, to me, is an escape. It's a break from the insanity building behind my eyes as brought on by the 9 to 5 American lifestyle. I'm not crazy. I promise. You can find me here most days, either reading or walking laps or both simultaneously. (I rarely look up, so be careful not to run into me.) This place is maintained well, quiet, and above all, OPEN. And I don't mean for business. I mean open as in, "Not closed in." You need places like this. You really do. Or, at the very least, I do. read more

This is my go to park to jog and get my exercise on. The park is very clean and big. Newly well kept asphalt track that have three paths different distances. This park also offer different non motorized water activities and bike rentals for a modest fee. My only negative about this park would be the abundance of big spiders in the trees. Nice pavilions for outdoor parties. They also have one playground in the front and one in the back which I find very convenient. Shelters have electricity and the option to grill and I think two places to play volleyball. Great trails for waking, jogging, or biking. My husband and I frequent this park on a weekly basis if not more. There's not really anything I dislike about the park I think it's great but here are my cons and while not all of them are strictly Con persay I feel as if I should mention: there's a no dog policy. I also feel that there is not too many events there that are welcoming to all ages for instance their movie night that happens in a rare Bluemoon. The pros: I love that they have grills and picnic areas not only that but they have pavilions. The pavilions or rentable and pretty amazing the price I definitely recommend it for a birthday party for a kid there's some great playgrounds. There's also the lake in which on weekends you can rent out little paddle boats, bicycles for 5 dollars or less. Something else we really enjoy is that jogging trails in which my husband jogs and I bike ride and there's ample space. There's always workers there you know keeping the park mean which is very nice as well. Well that's my review I'll update as time goes by. read more

i've been coming to this park for more than ten months...it's located close to my dwellings ...so my boyfriend and i just walk across on the weekends and jog/walk. i truly enjoy the peace and quiet early in the mornings. we have also participated in the marathons there as well. however, just this weekend...actually yesterday, may 16, 2015 we decided we wanted to bike ride through the park.....so we rented two of the park's bikes for half hour @ $4.00 for the two of us. i got the girl bike with the basket and began riding the trails...i noticed that the bike was not turning in the direction of the trail...very curvy areas. ..the steering was off in the front alignment of the bike.....needless to say, i fell and skinned my right knee. that was it for me! my boyfriend helped me up and we went to the concession to return the bike to pedro and informed him of the incident. also, informed him that the bike needed some front wheel alignment work...or something! please be aware of this type of thing. the parks need to have the equipment updated and in good condition for all customers! i will continue to go and jog in this park....but no more bike riding until they update! read more
