This is such a beautiful park with such rich history involved. There's so many beautiful walking paths with trees, plants and wildlife. But there is deep history with our indigenous people on the land.
Tree Tops Park is a Broward County park located in Davie. It is free to enter during the week and $1.50 per person weekends and holidays. There are pavilions you can rent for events and parties. The park is on fresh water marsh land. There is a lookout tower, at the top all you see are tree tops, I guess that's how the Park got its name. There are trails throughout the park however signage is lacking. There is a Safety Town and playground for kids. There is also a bat house.
I love Tree Tops Park. I've been coming to this park for years whenever I want to spend time in nature. There is so much to do. They have a look out tower, horseback riding, nature trail, pavilions, outdoor workout area and even offer event rentals. I love the hiking trail. It's such a peaceful walking path and very scenic. This is also a beautiful location for photography sessions.
One of my favorite parks in South Florida for a sweet escape. I went on a Saturday and it wasn't overly crowded. There's a $3 entry fee, and they offer plenty of parking. I noticed several people hosting events throughout the park, and they even have a cute cottage by the water that you can rent for special occasions. There's a beautiful scenic overlook where you can take in the park and its trails, along with an additional viewing deck by the water. I also loved seeing the horses they have a designated area for horseback riding and lessons. I even got to pet one of the most majestic horses, which was such a refreshing moment. I 10/10 recommend visiting this park!
Tree Tops Park is where South Florida goes to take a deep breath and pretend it's not five minutes from a Publix. It's calm, beautiful, and so peaceful you half expect a yoga instructor to materialize out of the mist and tell you to "center your energy." Great spot for a walk, a run, or if you're feeling ambitious -- a horseback ride. (They actually have trails for that! Sadly, I left my horse at home next to my yacht and private jet... okay, I don't have any of those three... maybe someday!). There are pavilions everywhere -- perfect for family picnics, birthday parties, or that one friend who thinks grilling is a personality trait. The air smells like sunshine and barbecue smoke, and somehow, everyone's in a good mood. Whether you're training for a marathon or just running from your responsibilities, Tree Tops Park has you covered. Bring water, bring snacks, maybe even bring a horse -- just don't bring your stress. It won't survive here.
This is one of my favorite parks. We moved from the area about 8 years ago and it had been that long since I had been. My oldest daughter had an event in the area so I took my youngest daughter to hang out with me. We had her 3rd birthday there so she didn't remember going there. It was about 1030 am on a Saturday when we visited. There is a fee per car on the weekends like most parks. We parked by one of the playgrounds and she wanted play but I convinced her to walk through the park. We went to the observation tower first. This is one of my favorite places here because you can see so much from it. It's also in the woods and it's so serene. It's quite a hike to the top but worth it! After the tower we made our way to the marsh which in my opinion is the best part. It's through the woods and on a trail. There are two gazebos ,on opposite ends ,where you can stand or sit. We got to see a few turtles, birds, and fishes. My daughter loved it as I knew she would! There were some people walking their dogs and we got to interact with some. There were also some people running and others bike riding. After the marsh my daughter was hot and wanted to go back to the car so I drove around the park to show her some more of it. We had to go pick up my oldest so we had to leave but she said she had a good time. We will definitely be back sometime soon for a family day. If you haven't had a chance to visit here do it! I thoroughly enjoy this park and they have so much to offer. There's horseback riding, trails, pavilions, playgrounds and more! You could really make a day of it or just pop in and enjoy it.
Enjoyed the trails and tree top viewing deck but found the deck to be wobbly and a lot of missing pieces of wood where children could fall or climb over the structure
Tree Tops Park is a beautiful spot if you enjoy nature and being outdoors. The park offers a mix of well-maintained walking paths as well as more natural trails that wind through the trees, giving it a true hiking feel. It's a large park with plenty of space to explore, so there's a lot of walking and a lot to see. There are also designated horse trails throughout the park, so be mindful of the signs. Those paths are for horses only and not for walking. Overall, it's a great place to relax, explore, and enjoy some fresh air.
I've been deep in my Walk Girl era and came across this absolute gem of a park. It's HUGE--like, get lost in nature big. Tons of green space, nature trails, horse trails, and peaceful spots to just take it all in. Perfect for a solo stroll, a chill picnic, or a kid-friendly hangout with multiple play areas. Oh--and dogs are totally allowed (on a leash). I didn't see many, but my pup had an absolute blast exploring. There are even random water fountains throughout the park, which came in clutch for the fluffy child to cool off. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for fresh air, space to roam, and that peaceful, unplugged vibe.
I was excited that a birthday party finally brought me out to this West Broward park. The party shelters have running water, which is a nice amenity. Some of the trails are paved, while others are dirt. When you get to the water, there is a nice boardwalk with two covered shelters and benches for nature viewing. The stairs on the lookout tower are narrow, so it's better to take turns if there's another group going up or down. Overall, this is a nice park to spend a few hours exploring.
The atmosphere is very natural and pleasant. The turtles and fish are beautiful, and the flowers in the lake make the place even more special. Everything is very clean. It's definitely a place worth recommending
We had a wonderful experience here at tree tops park. The park is beautiful and the beauty of the trees is breathtaking. The cooled rental area was just perfect. It met our needs and everyone had a wonderful time.
Incredibly nice park that's easy to overlook. It's incredibly well maintained with something for just about everyone. We traveled out to Davie to participate in a Water Matters Day conservation event, but we did that to get free native landscape trees given away by the county. It's no surprise that my partner and I will do anything for free stuff, BUT the real surprise was the park itself. It was pristine with friendly staffers everywhere

Tree Tops Park is located in central Broward County. This park is very convenient for weekend parties, weekday playground play dates and nature trail hikes both on foot, bike, or horse. I enjoy the early morning stroller walks with my granddaughter because during the weekdays there is no charge to enter and park to walk the trails. There is a very nice indoor/outdoor pavilion that is often rented for special events. There are multiple area for both child play under a covered playground and a covered area for adults to use the manual workout machines. The wide open space is great for horses to get a nice ride and to rinse off at the watering areas. The lakes and streams are filled with wild life that is indigenous to the area. Just taking a walk and listening to the sounds of nature is truly calming. On the weekends this county park gets very loud and crowded but because the park is so massive, there is always a place to relax. read more

If connecting with nature is your thing, this park is the spot. It's a gorgeous park that retains some of our beautiful trees before development took over. As a spooky girl, the Banyan tree captured my fancy. It's stood tall and majestic with its hanging vines forming a shelter like structure. At the time of my visit, there were a few ladies sitting under it getting ready for a drumming circle. We watched for a bit before moving on. The park has loop trails. It's easy to follow via the trails app. It's a great place for hikes, long walks or for just taking a break from people. The kids would love it here as well. We walked past a few play grounds and biking trails. I plan on taking the kids back soon for some fun. 10/10 as far as parks are concerned. read more

Another Broward County public park in Davie along Nob Hill Rd which provides a super chill environment. Not one of the mega parks but does offer several amenities including an outside fitness area, lake with paddle boats, Pavilion rentals, kiddie parks and picnic tables nestled under thick trees. Been here a few times for parties in the pavilion. Entry fee is $3.00 per vehicle on weekends and holidays. read more

Tree Tops is a well kept Broward County park. It's free entrance Monday-Friday, and a small fee on weekends and holidays. A few different trails to choose from, including the marsh and then a whole water pathway. 2 major kid playgrounds, a whole kid city. Lots of shelter spots for events or just casual hanging. The outdoor covered gym is nice and has a pet relief station. You can exercise comfortably and ride your bike or get a great run in! read more

Absolutely love this park! There is so much it offers; beautiful trails, tall viewing tower, scenic water trails, lots of wildlife, & great playgrounds/play area. Also a great spot for photoshoots. It seems like every time we visit, there are groups getting photos taken. The safety town is our favorite. read more

My daughter and I went for a bike ride in the park and it was a nice even with it raining. There's plenty of things to do while in the park like playing in a little town or a playground. There was even a little wedding getting set up which was cute. Although it was raining it was still a cute little park. read more
Wow. I drive by this place once a week when I come over this way for an appointment and I'm so glad I stopped by to explore it! I've heard such good things about it and I understand why. I love the tower that lets you see all the beautiful trees from above. Very peaceful & calming. read more

I live downtown Fort Lauderdale, and this was such a great place to change up my routine and get in my weekend steps! Who knew I was this close to so much nature? The place was huge...there were daytime parties (baby showers, birthday parties), a few photoshoots, and even a Tesla meet-up while I was there. Plenty of walking paths and people watching. I loved the big trees, lake, & boardwalk over the marsh. Logistics - There was a $1.50 entry fee and a long, but quick-moving line of cars to enter. Plenty of parking. Clear signage. Easy! read more

What an amazing park and staff! Our company carried out the green activity for employees and families this weekend. Without these beautiful green areas and office staff support it wouldn't have been possible to hold a GREEN FAMILY DAY. We all plant trees in the butterfly garden, creating values (especially for the employees' children) of care for nature and species. In addition, the horseback ride connected us with nature and was the perfect end to the green day. Special thanks for the 3 vendors used: JUAN & ONLY (ABSOLUTELY A+ Catering and event vendor) AAAdventure Horsetrails (2 great professionals with good knowledge of horses and rider guides.) Amarena Productions (fantastic audiovisual company and photographer). All of them vendor registered on the tree top park website and highly recommended. Thank you for an amazing experience and we'll definitely be back!! read more
Tree Tops is now open for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, personal horseback riding, and fishing! Of course visitors should adhere to CDC guidelines for social distancing and face covering. It's nice to have Tree Tops Park as a place back in the mix for walking and jogging. Tree Tops Park sits on on property once slated for development as a golf community. There are 23 acres of restored freshwater marsh, nature trails, and an equestrian center. Other amenities include a marina/lake where paddle boats can be rented, an observation tower, shelters and picnic areas, room rentals for special events (not available now). During the week there is no fee for entrance and on the weekend the charge is $1.50/per person. Some areas of the park are truly beautiful with lots of different types of trees and fauna. Truly a beautiful place to walk and be with nature, right in the middle of residential Davie. read more
I visit Tree Tops several times a week. It is a great place to walk. There are shaded nature trails - all over the park. This is a true example of Florida landscape- with wild sour orange trees mixed in with other native trees and bushes, as well as open spaces for picnics on a blanket, sports, or exercising. They even have a outside covered exercise space with exercise machines! The pond in the front of the park is great for bird and turtle watchers alike. (Tuttle watching is a thing, right?) They have a lot of pavilions that can be rented for picnics, and paddle boats, horseback riding and several playgrounds for kids. It is a neighborhood treasure. read more

A park located in Davie a little more east than Vista View Park. This park is another local favorite and quite the hot spot for photographers. They have an area near the viewing tower where you will usually find some groups of people taking photos that can range from fashion editorials to maternity photos. The viewing tower was one of my favorite parts about this park but it is currently closed. There is also a trail that you can find here for walking, running, biking, or Florida's version of hiking. The path leads to different areas along the length of the park. There's even an area with a boardwalk overlooking a body of water that offers a serene break from the trail. The park is pretty open and has some pavilions as well as picnic tables that you can celebrate any occasion at. If you do come here for an event, they have a sign letting you know which pavilion belongs to which party at the entrance. I got to attend my friend's gender reveal here the other day and the park was beautiful to celebrate at. Weekdays there is no admission and on weekends, I believe it's $1.50 per person. read more
A very nice park located in Davie. It is very nicely run, and is laid out really well. It offers a lake where you can a hire paddling boat or 2 - swans, ducks (Lol) to Potter around in. You are also allowed to fish, as long as you chuck them back in?. There are also plenty of benches and BBQs that are dotted around, and all they all seem to be in private shady places. They have a corned and fenced off kids bike area - run by schools I think to help kids learn the green cross code - in other words how to stop, go etc. There is also a gym area, plenty of wide open grass spaces suitable o kick a ball around, play frisbee etc. I also noticed bicycles trails as well as horse trails - which I am not sure what they offer or mean? but check it out! With regards to their name sake - there is a very short walk that is called Treetops (their name sake) with a walkway that leads to the 'treetops' hence the name! Here you can have nice views from the top of the platform to see the tops of the trees, foliage and pathways. read more

This park has lots of live oaks, tropical hammocks and wet lands covering about 140 acres in Davie. This park use to be a dairy farm but back in 1980 a group of conservationist stoped it from becoming a golf community. At this park you can rent canoes , bring your horse and go on a trail, take your dog for a walk, have a picnic , play frees by, volley ball, kid playground, hiking, fishing, safety town , there is plenty to see and do. You will see as you walk beautiful trees , Tamarindo and Oranges trees,Oak trees, Coffee bean bushes and live oaks. As you walk on the trail you will listen to crickets making mating calls . I saw ducks and Lizards ,horses too but did not find that alligator in the wet land. Come check out this beautiful park. read more

Do you suggest having picnic at the location? If so what part of the park would u suggest?
Yes! There is also an indoor pavilion with air conditioning available for rent.
How many miles is the nature trail?
Depending on which you take - about 2 miles.
How bad is the mosquitoes population around 6-7 PM in the park this month?
Mosquitos are in full force this summer and from 6-7 pm it's even worse. Closer to mid day is when the mosquitos try and hide a bit. But early morning and evenings are the worst times!!!
