The experience in the park was great, but to pay the entry fee was horrible. There were two entrances open and we couldn't pay with credit card because the machine was broken. I hardly carry cash since I have everything on phone The young didn't know what to do she left her post to go to the other post then came back. We finally found spare change in the car plus a dollar that one of us had and was able to get in after about 10 minutes of the back and forth. Those 10 minutes does not include what we had to wait for the cars in front of us. I am guessing they probably had the same issue. Put a sign that says CASH Only so we can know. read more

We celebrated my friend dad's birthday in CB Smith Park. On weekends, there's a $3 entrance fee. The park is equipped with grills, table and benches on a first come first served bases. Flushable restrooms are available and are decently clean. There are also biking and walking trails all around the park. Great for family fun. read more

My little cousins birthday spot always takes place in CB Smith park. My cousin and his amazing wife always reserve shelter no.1. It's very spacious... I'm sure it fits about 60 guest or so. The park allows you to bring your own outside food. The restroom is walking distance from the shelter. ( At least for shelter 1). The restroom was clean. The park has several shelters throughout the park. Park offers several picnic tables so reservations are not needed but special days I would say to go early to claim your spot. The park has their own little water park area that you can visit for an extra fee. From what I remember as a child it has 2 water slides and a man made beach with beach chairs to sun bathe. It had a concession area. I do not think you can bring outside food to this area. The park offers kiddy play area with swing and slides , bike/walking trails, water sports, racquet ball and much more. I saw they even have a campground areas. I know they use to or still host the chilli cook off events at the park. Weekends the entrance fee is $3 per vehicle. Warning ‼ I've never seen any alligators in the park but they do have a warning signs. So keep an eye on the little ones by the water areas. Our shelter was near the water so we did have some ducks that crashed the party! Lol The park is pet friendly. read more

CB Smith has always been a my a reliable place to have fun. It is incredibly spacious; it's so big some of you might remember the county used to host the Chili Cook Offs there - but it's also a comfortable park that offers all the amenities a park should offer. From the tennis and basketball courts, to the lakes and trails, it's my favorite place to run at and relax. From Flamingo Road it doesn't look like a lot but once you enter this beautiful park you'll see all the awesome things it offers. It's free to visit during the week & only $3 per vehicle on the weekends so why not enjoy the outdoors when you get some free time. It's pet friendly (as long as you keep them on a leash) so you can bring your furry friends along too! CB Smith offers tons of picnic areas that are fully covered so you can stay out of the FL sun while enjoying some food. There's a water park, racquetball courts, basketball courts, paved trails for walking & so much more. There's also a good portion of campgrounds & they let RVs stay overnight. They allow fishing in pretty much all of the lakes inside. If there's a park amenity you can think of then it's likely to be here. I really appreciate how clean it's kept & that most of the visitors respect the surrounding nature. You rarely see trash left around because there are tons of accessible garbage cans. The park employees do a good job at monitoring this. This park has been great for so many years & it doesn't seem to be changing any time soon. read more

We went mini golfing at CB Smith Park and was extremely disappointed at the lack of upkeep on the mini golf course. While the overall facility was nice including batting cages and driving range the mini golf was very unkept. There were broken and missing stones at practically every hole , leaves were not picked up or blown off holes. They offer no discounts for seniors or young children. read more

Discovered this gem of a park and I'm glad I did. It's huge. Perfect place for family reunions or cookouts or walking anything you want to do. Weekdays is free weekends you have to pay $3 a car and reserve a little pavilion to host a party. I walked and it took me 1 hr to do most of the trail. Amazing park in south Florida! Went to CB Smith for the waterpark and this park needs some major tlc. The park was extremely packed to start and the tipping effect the bucket has at the kids playground area was not working and just over flowing. Lines were very long for the slides and even the lazy river. Iguanas were jumping into the slide area pool and staff had to get them out. The lazy river had inner tubes broken and even water effects not working either. Would definitely choose another park to go to. Not worth a 14 dollar entrance free. read more

This is a great park to come hang out and spend some time here and I've been to more birthday parties here than I can count! They have shelters that you can rent for large parties or you can grab one of the many shaded picnic tables that they have available and enjoy a nice day at the park. They have a beautiful lake that you can fish from (no swimming because you know, gators in Florida), tennis courts, mini golf and a golf range, and a really fun water park. Be warned that the water park gets BUSY with people trying to beat the heat. There are plenty of grills available to BBQ from. This is a huge, 299 acre park in Pembroke Pines located across the street from the mall. There is history here as the land was once used as a firing range for a gunnery school during World War II. The parcel of land was called Snake Creek Park and it was purchased by Broward County from the U.S. government in 1959. In 1967 it became a park named in honor of Broward County and the City of Hollywood Commissioner, Charles Barney Smith. The park has been closed for a long time while being used as a Covid testing site so it is great to see it back open although part of the park is being used for vaccinations. Three days ago Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the State of Florida will be opening a new monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site in C.B. Smith Park. Besides treating Covid, park amenities include the Paradise Cove Water Park containing four 50-foot-tall waterslides and a lazy river (closed for the season), campground, AllGolf a family golfing center, tennis complex, and a special events staging complex that hosts the yearly Chili Cook Off Festival. The park also has basketball courts, batting cages, biking/jogging/walking path, volleyball net, pickleball court, lakes for fishing, fitness facility, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, and picnic pavilions. Since it is a county park they charge $1.50 per vehicle on weekends and holidays. It is well worth it as there is so much to do here. The open area is sprawling and situated around many picturesque lakes. Come out and enjoy nature as you picnic, play, and relax in the beautiful outdoors of south Florida. read more

This park is honestly one of the best and most beautiful ones around, hands down! There are so many trees and the amount of space here is wonderful! The entry fee is $1.50 per person but you can stay all day until sundown before they start making their rounds to make you leave. There is parking everywhere and the spots are pretty large so you don't need to worry about being ontop of someone if you're parking. They also have a mini golf course as well as a driving range here as well to spend some time at. One of the cooler things about this place is their Waterpark which is a lot of fun! It tends tm get mobbed and filled early in the summer so I advise to get their with enough time before it opens to get in line because people line up early. Everytime I've been here the park is always clean and everything is always trimmed and chopped so there are no trees or bushes you need to be afraid of. They have many gazebos you can rent out as well! Definitely a great place to host a party or family event and spend the day drinking eating and enjoying company! read more

This park is great for walking because it has so many paths. I've been to many parties at their pavilions. My children liked their water park when they were younger. Today I took my daughter's dog for a walk. It's nice that they have paved paths. He enjoyed the fresh air and the sun while investigating Pavillion #17. We need to walk here more often. This is a great big county park with something for everyone! There are so many activities that you can do in this park, (some of them are not currently open due to Covid,). It is great for walking, jogging, biking, camping, fishing, playing tennis, or just hanging out and relaxing. There are over 296 acres with many shady spots, many open spots , and it is surrounded by water. On my recent Sunday morning visit I saw a few people walking and biking and some beautiful birds wading in the lake. The park is currently open from 8:00-6:00, and they are not charging an entrance fee at the present time. There is plenty of parking all around and pretty good signage if you are looking for a specific area or you want to meet up with a friend. They often hold special events here; the most well-known is probably the Chili Cook-Off, which is an all day festival with some pretty big name country stars. (The site boasts that they can accommodate special events with up to 22,500 guests! Just not during a pandemic). There is also a family golfing center and a water park, called Paradise Cove, right inside the park. This water park is temporarily closed as well; but it does feature 4 fifty foot water slides and a lazy River. CB Smith park is located in southwest Broward County on Flamingo Road between Taft and Pines. If you haven't been there yet; you should check it out. It's a great place for all ages with something for everyone! read more

If you are going to the park to have a birthday, make sure you reserve a pavilion far in advance. I have taken my daughter to the water park ever since she was three years old. The lazy river is a fun adventure but not so much when the lifeguard blows a whistle and tells you to get back in the inner tube immediately. Sorry, I'm old and it is going to take me a little time to manage that trick. They have a really good alarm system when bad weather approaches. The downside is that if the lightning lingers, they will close the park and ask you to leave. read more

I came to The Ignight Your Light event . This event starts at round twenty dollars per person. I got my tickets online. Once you buy the tickets. You have to choose a time. I was there yesterday evening. It seems that flamingo Road is undergoing something. Orange barricades are blocking a line and are near the entrance to the park. My advice give yourself extra time to get here. This particular park is also used as a testing sight for the virus, now closed. As you enter the park, plenty of white signs directing to the testing site, now closed. If you look closely, you will see the dark painted signs to The Ignight Your Light event lol. Why would you put out a dark colored sign for an evening event lol. Once inside, they gave us a wristband and gave us parking directions. I drove by this young lady/worker texting and kept driving, and so everyone behind us. We got lost and eventually came around to the entrance. The same young lady is still texting away. With one hand, not her texting hand, but the other, she pointed to the parking area. What an adventure lol. Inside was cute. The light show was nice. They had an area with mushrooms. This was my favorite thing. It felt like an Alice in Wonderland thing. I did not get the eyeball thing but boy, there were a lot of them. Towards the end, they had music and two performers. It was nice. The kids seemed to like it. I liked the music. I thought the event was a bit short . Everything was around 15 minutes. I came to an event and left with an adventure read more

I haven't really been here in years. They have a water park which is much appreciated. Without the water park though, it might be lacking in activities. A lot of people ride their bikes throughout the park. This park always seems to be clean. They have great signage. The last two times I have been here was for Covid testing. They have it well organized. Employees are professional and know what they are doing. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes yesterday. A week ago the line of cars was indescribably long. One of my favorite park The trails are are a mix of shaded with trees and open space. They are dog friendly. But the pups need to be leashes. I've be j. This park in so many event - the bounce house, memorial carnival, New Years carnival. They also have a water Roark perfect for the small kids. I kind of just wanted to walk for an hour but since I zig zag thru the park I was already walking for a couple of hours till I found my car. CB Smith Park was never one of my favorite parks. I don't think there is enough trees for shade. It's in Western Broward County closer to the Everglades. I prefer parks closer to the ocean and in residential communities. Back in my day parking was free. To me the entrance fee is still reasonable. It's a very expansive and open space. For some reason even with the added amenities I prefer so many other parks in Broward County. Unless I'm invited to attend a picnic or other event I don't visit CB Smith when I'm in Florida. I'm sure if I lived nearby and had children I would feel different. Just letting you know it's here is my current aim. read more

By far my favorite park in the surrounding area! Basketball, tennis, awesome water park, playgrounds, walking trails, outdoor workout equipment, several pavilions with large grills, and a golf area. Our kids love coming here and look forward to visiting the water park, which has three large water slides that we haven't had the pleasure of trying yet! One of the only downsides is that one of the two playgrounds - the one designed for older children - is missing the sunbrella awning so the equipment is in full sun and gets extremely hot. What a cool park in Pembroke Pines! We went there on a Saturday morning for a walk and they let us in without having to pay the small admission fee, they were really friendly at the entrance hut. We easily found a parking spot and walked on the trail that is along the outside of the park, it's a really nice trail. They have tennis courts as well and they were quite full as we were there. It is a large park with many activities available including batting cages, mini golf and tennis courts. We enjoyed the kids playground at Pavillion 22. It's a nice little kid's playground nicely covered with tarp providing shade for little ones. It is surrounded by lovely green grass with picnic tables and BBQ grills close by. A clean restroom facility was available nearby. There was also a volleyball court. There were plenty of parking spaces available. There was no charge to enter the park on our visit. read more

I've heard about this park so many times, I just had to come and see it for myself. Located along Flamingo Rd., C. B. Smith Park is an extremely large park that offers so much amenities for the whole family. Upon the entrance, you can either turn left or right. On the right side of the park, you'll find a miniature golf course, a batting cage, and a pro shop where you can get large buckets for the driving range. I was amazed to see a few peacocks leisurely walking along the miniature golf course. One of them came right up to the fence where I was standing and I couldn't help to snap a picture of its beauty. Next, I drove through the left side of the park where you're actually entering the park. The park is open daily from 8am - 7:30pm. Entrance fee is $1.50 per person on the weekends and holidays, during the week it's free. There are many pavilions and picnic shelters throughout the facility that can be reserved for birthday parties and/or barbecues. There's also a campground site rental. There are many activities at C. B. Smith Park such as a basketball court, tennis courts, fishing pier, volleyball nets, small playground for kids, a safety town (which I haven't figured out what that was), and a fitness zone. And then, there's Paradise Cove water playground, which was the most crowded part of the park. Entrance fee is $10 per person for all day admission and $6.75 per person after 3pm. There's this large water pipeline with four big spiraling water slides going in different directions, as well as two water playgrounds for kids of all ages. read more

6/3/2018 - BEER FEST 5K Event by Runner's Depot The BeerFest 5k was held at the park. They charged $1.50 per person to enter the park. Parking was in the water park parking lot as the parking lot for Beerfest was a part of the course. The event was very nicely set up. They had the packet pick up by a large pavilion. Restrooms were easy to find. They did not have Porta Potties available for the event. This was a brand new out and back certified course at CB Smith Park. When we finished the race we literally ran into a coral of beer and vendors offering schwagg and lots of cool stuff. We received a nice medal that had a beer opener in the back. They had some snacks set up at the pavilion and waters. Nice event. read more
