Have came here numerous times for birthday parties at the pavilions and always had a great time. This park is super big and nice. They have numerous basketball courts, playgrounds, bathrooms, pavilions, etc. they also have like a man made hill to hike with picnic tables on top. The pavilions are very large too and fit 50-100 people easily. The pavilions even have barbecues. There is a small entry fee to pay per vehicle. read more

It's not favorite park, but it does have some nice thing. It's dog friendly and definitely a nice place to have a birthday party, especially if you have young children. The park is well maintained, it has a fantastic playground and basketball courts. The north end of the park is never as busy as the rest of the park, go to the right when you enter. Over there is a road that takes you to the top of the hill with, it has a pretty good view. There is also a few more shelters you can and a well stocked lake with a dock to fish from. It's catch and release so there's always fish hanging around. All and all it's a nice park. If you have a Broward County annual pass it's good there too. read more

I recently just started to go to explore parks around the area. Vista View is quite different from all the parks that I have seen in the county. Its very open and just perfect if you like to do outdoor activities such as cycling, walking, jogging and a little cute hike. I have brought my dogs here and they really enjoyed it. Its a good place to get fresh air and be with a little bit of nature on our busy lives. They have a lot of courts and even a playground and workout area. this park is great for the whole family and we will keep on coming back here especially when the weather cools down. I love this park for many reasons, including: Location - centrally located and easy to get to from just about anywhere in South Florida Aesthetics - this park is well-kept, beautiful, and the only park around that has Hills. Yes Hills. Variety - this is a great park to get a good workout on one of the many trails, having a cookout at at locations throughout the park, there are several playgrounds and pavilions for parties, lakes to fish in, basketball courts and much more. My routine is typically getting some exercise in and then sit on a bench overlooking the beautiful grounds so I can take it all in and relax. Had my babies first birthday party here and it was perfect. I reserved a large shelter which was easy to do online and I loved that the staff was available and easy to reach to answer any questions I had whenever I called. My vendors were also able to get in to set up for the party easily with no issues. I love this park. This is perhaps one of the few parks in south FL with decent elevation (landfill-converted park put into good use). Whenever I come, there are always people using the trails for walking/running/biking. With the elevation, it's a great place for views. In the past, I've come to watch the July 4th fireworks, though I don't know if the park has hosted this event in recent years. There's covered pavilions (shelters) for parties/BBQs, plenty of picnic tables and benches, and a playground for kids. There's even a small boating dock for canoes. Currently park hours are 8am-7:30pm. You generally don't have to pay for admission on weekdays. When I checked today, it's $1.50/per person (ages 6 and up) on weekends and holidays. Like the other Broward parks, you can reserve a shelter online for a fee on their website minimum 2 days in advance or by calling the park office if it's sooner. read more

Vista View has been transformed over the years and has do much more to offer than when it first opened. In our family it's called "trash mountain". We used to go up for walks or the kids would ride bikes. Once, we even grilled at the top. Now, both of my children run there. It's a challenging path that they both are able to do well. A park located in West Davie off of I-75 on Griffin Rd. There aren't many hills in Florida but this park is known for just that! Many runners come here to enjoy a little challenge of taking on the hills. There are trails here shared by runners, walkers, bikers, etc. I haven't been to run here in quite some time and was participating in a virtual 5k so I decided to switch up my neighborhood views for some challenging hills. If you follow the trial that we went on, from start to finish, it is about 1.5 miles. Of course, on this trail are many different paths you can take so it could easily be more or less than that depending. We don't have mountain views likes other states have but the view of Davie is pretty nice atop these Floridian Hills. The trail provides a good challenge if you're looking to switch things up! You'll find different workout groups throughout the park. There's also a place for remote controlled airplanes to fly as well as gazebos, kids playgrounds, and fishing piers. I believe this park does not do COVID testing at this time. I know some parks close during certain days & hours for COVID tests and vaccine appointments so be wary of that when making plans to go to the parks. read more

I love Vista View Park! It's one of the few places in the area with hills, as the park was formerly a landfill. There are lots of trails to choose from to fit different difficulty levels. There are several shelters that are available for reservations and on weekends they're always reserved for parties. There is a lake with a dock that people fish from, as well as a canoe launch, although I've never seen anyone canoeing in the lake. There is an outdoor gym that's very well used. The views from the top of the park are great, especially for sunsets. Parking is always ample. There is no fee on weekdays, but on weekends and holidays there is a fee. I always enjoy walking the trails here and taking in the sights near the lake. The park is huge, so there is a lot to explore. read more

Not sure why this is reported as closed on Yelp -- the park is open, but certain areas are reserved for drive-through COVID-19 testing. But you can still enjoy the walking paths and hilltops for a little exercise (which was why we were there). I really liked this park for the sweeping panoramic views from the tops of the hills -- hard to find this type of view in flat Florida unless you've climbed up an observation tower or something. I read somewhere that the hills are old mounds left over from a garbage dump -- well, if that's true they've done a good job covering it up :) One side of the park overlooks the interesting Mormon temple nearby; the other side gives you distant skyline views. This is also a good place to do some hill training if you're a runner or hiker, and up the top of the hill we climbed there was a little track for remote-control cars...we saw some enthusiasts driving their little cars around. read more

Broward County did a great job in transforming this area into a useful, enjoyable park. Sporting 3 fishing piers, exercise gazebos, kids playgrounds and lots of walking trails, this is an excellent place to get some fresh air and pass the day. The best part are the hills, which are high and steep and thus rarely found in Miami. They provide a nice workout for bikers, walkers and runners alike. There is usually a fee to enter but it appears it has been waived temporarily due to the pandemic. read more

This is a great county park. It was built on the site of an old dump facility, which is the reason for the park having a large hill as one of its main attractions. It is a favorite location for people doing fitness training since you have access to this large space of inclined terrain that is great for exercising. It is also nice that a fairly wide path has been built around the hill for people to jog. This path is covered with soft wood chips, so the terrain is very easy on your joints. There are also lots of other trails you can use for jogging or hiking, and a fairly long cement pathway that leads you to picnic tables, bbq stations and pavilions. Another nice attraction is a small lagoon located near several kids' playgrounds that are being kept in excellent condition. They also have a station with workout machines. Overall, a great place to spend time outdoors, in a setting that is very different from most other county parks in this part of the state. And if you enjoy wildlife, you will have lots to see at this park. read more

OMG This park is amazing!!! Never heard of this park before but just driving in I was so excited. It is Hugeee and has so many gills and so much space to run,play, except use, frolicking, walk.yoir dog, bird, alligator, owl.watch and so much more..I was like a kid in a.candy store I tell you. First it's only $1.50 per head to get in and you have access to Everything. There were so many parties and abby showers and bbq's going on. The playground had so many obstacles the kids can play for hours. We also went hiking up the hill (this nearly killed me..lol) but that view up top was amazing..We could see clear to the guitar shaped Hardrock hotel and then some. We saw protected burrowing owls that were the cutest things,signs for alligator but we never saw any. We went on the decks to look at the lake and saw turtles. We went to the excercise hut that had plenty of machines for all to share. There are bathrooms everywhere, friendly cops patrolling the areas and it's really just an amazing park. There's also plenty of parking but any parties you wish to have must be booked and paid for in advance. Picnics are allowed and don't need to be acknowledged prior to coming. I can go on and on. Really the views and the hikes were my favorite and I really want to come back again just for those alone. If you want a cool park to come to to relax or have plenty of activity and friendly faces this is it! It's perfect for all and you'll see so many people enjoying themselves. read more

Today was such a lovely day to visit this park, yet I had no idea how huge Vista View Park really was. Everywhere I looked people were either walking the trails, walking their dogs, running, skating, bicycling, playing basketball, fishing at the pier, or watching their kids playing on the playground. There were even people walking up and along the big hills. Might as well call this "Fitness Park" because that's what everyone was doing...being active. Vista View Park is open seven days a week. Admission is free during the week and costs $1.50 on weekends and holidays. There is plenty of parking around the park, as well as pavilions and picnic shelters that can be reserved for birthday parties and/or barbecues. There are basketball courts, a fitness station, two playgrounds, and a catch & release fishing pier. The hills in the park are ideal for bicyclists to ride and train. There are also designated trails for horseback riding. I didn't see any horses, but I sure could smell the Sugar Honey Ice Tea in the air...HINT: The capital letters spells out the word. Pets are allowed in the park. They must be on leashes and the owners are responsible for the cleanup. Definitely will come back to Vista View Park. I would like to challenge myself to walk those trails after the holidays. read more

Fantastic experience because of the vast high hills (formally a land fill) with miles of walking, riding and horse trails. They just opened an extended "lake loop" which adds even more to the experience. The amenities such as bathrooms and water is always clean and well-maintained. Lots of child play centers including a small lash pad soon to be opened. Free on weekdays. read more

What an impeccable park!! Massive fields of grass, covered playgrounds for baby, toddlers, and children, SUPPPERRRR CLEAN and everything well taken care of. The grass is soooo GREEN you would think it's fake. The park has a beautiful view of the city on top of a big hill overlooking the city and lake - breathtaking. It has barbecue grills, women/men bathrooms, trails, and vending machines. Definitely a park to have a family party, practice your jogging, use their trails for biking/walking, enjoy a picnic etc... This park is a runner's heaven! Plenty of space to run with incredible scenery and various elevations. Guess what?!?! No charge to go in and park - FREE! This is the Davie areas best kept secret. I kind of feel like snitch right now but it would be against my Yelpie duty to not disclose. I've been coming to this park for four years and it's the only place in Florida with hills. If your a runner you know this is essential when training for marathons or half's. This is especially true when training for Bay The Breakers and the Boston. They don't just offer an abundance of hills they also offer trail training with small paths carved into the sides (which usually the bikers and horses hangout at) that are perfect for terrain and hiking training. Vista View offers pavilion rentals, a full drone park, basketball courts, open fields to play soccer or football and a fitness trail. They even added a second mile to their fitness trail equipped with benches, balance, trip dip bars, and magnetic weight machines. The best part about this park is that on the weekday it's large enough to feel quiet. I promise I'm not a weirdo but I totally channel my inner John the Baptist and climb the trees to see some beautiful species of birds that fly in and perch for a minute or two! read more
