My oh my! This park has it all! It ticks all the boxes people! You want space?check! You want to see horses? check! You want to see burrowing owls? check! You want a kiddies playground? check! You want a lodge? check! You wants shade? check! You want a place to hire for a wedding? check. You want..............blah blah, you get the picture. Another fabulous park, this one is called Robbins Park, in Davie. It offers large open spaces, miles of un spoilt n beautiful equestrian trails where you can walk on, and maybe see a pony expedition like we did pass you by!!, cattle grazing in pastures, as well as a pretty gazebo, a lodge and burrowing owls. Robbins Preserve boasts 160 acres of natural beauty. I have never seen so many vines and cacti - that had taken over so much space n height, and grown to such massive proportions. I saw some massive ones and I was blown away, however, my husband is a native Cuban and he was not amazed and basically said - we see this all the time?!! Is he right? or am I a niave English lady! see my cacti pics so you know what I am talking about. And please do let me know!

This is a large 160 acre park consisting of equestrian trails, a playground, pavilions, an equestrian center and a house that can be rented for events. In the middle of the field is a burrowing owl sanctuary. The park is named for Mr. Bill Robbins who was a cattle rancher and citrus farmer. Part of the park is a ridge. More of the ridge can be found in nearby Long Key Natural Area and Pine Island Ridge. Native Americans like the Tequesta and later on the Seminoles used the higher land of the ridge to build their villages. In the rear of the park is a horse/ bike/ walking trail. It runs over a pretty bridge and turns into the Robbins Vista View Trail which parallels a canal. It's nine miles and takes you past Flamingo Gardens on the east side, Long Key Natural Area, and ends in the west at Vista View Park. Along the scenic trail you can see wildlife, plants, and trees.

5/7/2016 - I'm so lucky that my sister lives near this park. My first time here was last year for an Easter Egg Hunt event with my sister's kids. But now I run through this beautiful park on my route. Every time, I've been here on the weekends, it is pretty empty. I don't understand why' it is a great park, lots of shade. There are plenty of amenities and facilities. There is also a huge field to play football, baseball, soccer, etc. There are also BBQ spots. Lots of parking. So glad that there is a water fountain on the trail, for those hot summer months.

Great park for the kids. As of August 2018, there is no canopy. That is worth two stars because I'm sweating bullets. Great slides and ladders to climb and even som type of spinner thing. Other than the children's playground this is a wide open green space with places for bbq and looks dog friendly.

Huge multi-level, covered playground

Found this cute little park when I was invited to a gathering of friends. It's hidden back off of Hiatus Road in Davie; and it is definitely a hidden gem! Admission is free, and since it's kind of hidden I don't think a lot of people know it's here! There are lots of wide open areas; and a fence separates the equestrian area from the area where the big playground is. Speaking of playground; WOW! There is a huge multilevel structure with lots of cool slides, towers, and climbing areas. It's also completely covered so kids have shade & shelter from rain. There is also a little spinning ride for the little ones. The ground for the play area is wood chips. We used a small pavilion with picnic tables for our gathering; but if you have a large group, you may want to bring some extra tables and chairs. There was a bathroom not too far from the playground, and I also noticed a cute little gazebo which would be cozy for picnics or a perfect setting for special occasions. The only complaint I had was that there was only one trash can by the pavilion, and it was already full of trash. (Not sure how often it is emptied; but if the Town of Davie wants to keep their park clean....they should probably invest in a few more trash containers!).

Small park with playground area for kids and a few BBQ spots. Lots of open spaces for horse back riding. Not too many trees, but facilities are clean.

Plenty of parking to start your adventure and be ready to explore and be amazed with each step. It offers many trials and paths, paved and unpaved for the adventure seekers. Might see a nice horse rider as well as they have a horse trail through the park. Fully shaded trails allowing you to be engulfed in nature and local wildlife. We saw an armadillo which was cool. Lovely variety of botanical species that's keeps you intrigued. Very peaceful and zen which is great for relaxation and meditation. Welcome center offers a wealth of information and artwork and a history museum allowing you to absorb and increase your knowledge of the area. They also offer indoor rented space for functions. Lovely park for a great hike and walk or for relaxation as you sit in the many rocking chairs staring into the lagoon with tranquility!

The visitor's center is big and has a museum exhibition inside about tribal history. Wish it was closer to home otherwise this would be my go to meditation park. Just a peaceful and beautiful place.

The trail is about a mile around the lake and flat, making it an easy walk. Perfect for the kids to ride bikes or kick a ball around. There is a small event space available, restrooms are fairly clean but has no toilet paper. There are no drinking fountains. There is ample parking available however, they tend to fill up quickly on weekends. On the morning I walked the trail, there were a few doggy classes in progress with the cutest pups! Owners were friendly enough to let us pet them. This park is used a lot for photo shoots as well. We saw someone preparing a "Will You Marry Me?" back drop.

Stretching across only a modest 50-acres, it's the perfect place to unwind within some beautiful nature & it makes you feel as if the city isn't only a stones throw away. Offering free entry, as well, it's a great place to get outside & enjoy your day. Whether you want to walk, fish, exercise or relax, this park is the place to go. It only has one trail but it's sizable. The trail wraps entirely around the crystal clear lake & then some. There's an area with a decent incline/decline in elevation which is about as good as you're going to get in FL. I especially love the massive Australian pine trees that are throughout the entire park. Not only does it provide beautiful scenery & a home for the wildlife, it offers shade as you're on the trail. Keep in mind there's some areas that are totally clear of trees so it definitely gets hot during midday. For the most part, however, I'd say a good 3/4 of the park has some sort of cover/shade you can utilize. This park has been a part of my childhood & I still visit to this day so that speaks for itself. It's always been well maintained which is something I truly appreciate. Guests, for the most part, do a great job at being mindful of their belongings & not leaving trash. The city employees are good about staying on top of it, as well. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about Wolf Lake & I love coming. Do yourself a favor & find an awesome local park like this one to get outside.
