This is a small but beautiful little park wrapped around a lake. It's perfect for that morning walk or afternoon jog, especially on a nice day. The trail is about a mile around the lake and flat, making it an easy walk. Perfect for the kids to ride bikes or kick a ball around. There is a small event space available, restrooms are fairly clean but has no toilet paper. There are no drinking fountains. There is ample parking available however, they tend to fill up quickly on weekends. On the morning I walked the trail, there were a few doggy classes in progress with the cutest pups! Owners were friendly enough to let us pet them. This park is used a lot for photo shoots as well. We saw someone preparing a "Will You Marry Me?" back drop. read more

This awesome little park is tucked away off one of Davie's backroads & is something that any true local would know about. Stretching across only a modest 50-acres, it's the perfect place to unwind within some beautiful nature & it makes you feel as if the city isn't only a stones throw away. Offering free entry, as well, it's a great place to get outside & enjoy your day. Whether you want to walk, fish, exercise or relax, this park is the place to go. It only has one trail but it's sizable. The trail wraps entirely around the crystal clear lake & then some. There's an area with a decent incline/decline in elevation which is about as good as you're going to get in FL. I especially love the massive Australian pine trees that are throughout the entire park. Not only does it provide beautiful scenery & a home for the wildlife, it offers shade as you're on the trail. Keep in mind there's some areas that are totally clear of trees so it definitely gets hot during midday. For the most part, however, I'd say a good 3/4 of the park has some sort of cover/shade you can utilize. This park has been a part of my childhood & I still visit to this day so that speaks for itself. It's always been well maintained which is something I truly appreciate. Guests, for the most part, do a great job at being mindful of their belongings & not leaving trash. The city employees are good about staying on top of it, as well. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about Wolf Lake & I love coming. Do yourself a favor & find an awesome local park like this one to get outside. read more

Pros: it's free and has free parking. It's also a unique walk with the pine trees along the lake it is a great spot for walking and dog friendly. There are bathrooms and a picnic area as well. Cons: If you're walking solo it can feel a bit isolated even when people are there. I'd recommend bringing a friend or general situational awareness but nothing has happened here to me. Also while the pine trees are unique and beautiful the needles can really get caught in my dog's fur so I can't take them as often as I'd like. Overall it's a great place for a nature walk and relaxing. read more

I love this little park. There's a beautiful lake with a path that you can walk on that circles around the lake. There are also a few separate trails off the main path that are cool to explore. A good portion of the path is shaded which makes the walk around the lake even nicer. The thing I like most is that it's never overly crowded. On a recent visit I saw people picnicking, people lying on a hammock they attached to two trees, people walking and jogging and pet owners with their pups. On a previous visit I even saw some people with their horses in the water! It's a great little place to just go and enjoy the day! read more

This is one of my all time favorite parks. It's very dog friendly. You can picnic, lay down or sit under the shade, sightsee the neighbor's cows, walk, jog/run, meditate, and more. There are many trees so it helps keep the park not too hot. The restrooms are clean most of the time I've gone. I love the big lake and wildlife. read more

Such a hidden gem! This trail is about 1.5 miles total ( per my applewatch)--surrounded by beautiful trees that make the whole walk feel peaceful and refreshing. I passed a few other people with their dogs on leashes, which added to the nice community vibe. It's honestly the perfect spot to disconnect and reset. It doesn't even feel like you're in South Florida--. Highly recommend if you're looking for a little nature break. read more

Love this park! Discovered this park while needing to research bugs for my college science program. Such a cool variety of critters if you're interested in looking at them. There is a walking trail around the whole lake, that's about a good 20 minute walk. Sometimes the lake is open to do activities but sometimes it's closed. It's so pretty to just walk around and enjoy the outside. Definitely give it a visit if you like getting fresh air and exploring! read more

What a lovely park . I felt like I was in the Pacific Northwest with all the pine trees . This is a great family park . I felt very safe running around the park . The park is about a one mile lap, I went there to run 3 miles and I was easily distracted by the beautiful views of the lake and the horses around . This is a passive park and if you didn't live in the area you would probably miss it. On 74 and Stirling road you would turn in and it is in a residential area. A lot of pine trees and the grown is covered with pine needles so your walk is cushioned. Plenty of shade as well, this is a park for having a picnic, chill time, or walking, fishing, and bringing your horse to ride. I went for the walk and it was very peaceful next time I will bring a lunch and sit at one of the picnic tables and chill. Wolf lake park has plenty of picnic tables first come first have, a bathroom, and benches to sit. Parking is limited to 10 cars. read more

This park is my absolute fav!!! It reminds me of North Florida and is almost like my escape from real life. This park is perfect for a casual stroll, walking big dogs, photoshoots, (my sister even got engaged here!), horse riding, or picnic dates with significant others or just friends. Wolf Lake is actually my go to spot for a picnic, and I've brought countless friends here so they can experience the serenity of the lake and the trees. Only caution: Watch out for horse poop. I came here to get a few photo shots of my beautiful wife and I was surprised by how nice it was considering it's location. After doing a quick search to find a nearby park, we zipped into this place which we came to find out was a little hidden gem. The park is beautiful with a nice walking trail, picnic tables, fishing area, a playground, and open fields for recreation. The park is also home to (you guessed it) Wolf Lake, which is a large sparkling lake that I briefly witnessed someone fishing. There were other water-based activities available as well. We got a kick out walking with some of the ducks that weren't too scared when we got close haha. The park seems like it provides a peaceful and natural environment for visitors to enjoy. If we were ever in the area again, I wouldn't mind going back. It's a great option to spend a day outdoors with family and friends. read more

The layout of the park is basically a flat trail that's about a mile long that wraps around this magnificent green lake. Definitely a hidden gem in Davie! My 7 year old and I recently discovered this park, and we loved it! He is super into nature and exploring, so this was the perfect spot for him! I felt like we were in North Carolina or something at certain points. Very shaded and usually a nice breeze..even on scorching days, it's not bad in the shaded areas. Our dog loved it too! The trail around the lake is the perfect length too for a child and a dog. Not too short, not too long. Pack a little picnic and check it out! You can get some great pics too! read more

We were looking for a quiet, socially distant spot, that allowed dogs on a Sunday afternoon recently. I really just wanted to get some exercise and walk a couple of miles. This place fit the bill perfectly. It's got a path around the lake that's tree shaded over much of it. The path is dirt but pretty smooth so I could walk my pup on his own power but put him in his wagon when he got too tired to walk. It's quiet, and pretty, and horses are allowed as well as dogs on leashes which people obeyed. Plenty of picnic tables. The ducks are friendly and the other patrons were friendly as well as polite. For the most part it was pretty well kept. I wore sandals but I would suggest sneakers instead because parts are sandy and I did see some fire ant mounds. We really enjoyed it and plan to return soon. Tip- parking was no problem and it's free to get in. Thanks to the City of Davie for this lovely park! read more

This probably one of the most beautiful spaces you can enter. For nature enthusiasts and big time adventures this is a beautiful park to explore. My family and I went there with the expectation of a small atmosphere but I was stunned by how huge the trail. The sound of the pine trees were phenomenal they sounds like the wind howling but musical. There's tons of space for a picnic, to take photos and even for the people who love to paint in nature. The experience is what I call "Feels like I'm in another state". The people exploring are friendly but there's so much space everyone can enjoy. If you're going to visit I suggest grabbing some picnic items and enjoy. Excellent for babies, there eyes will wonder and the sleep be GOOOD lol. Also in case you're stuck in the car because of rain the view is amazing and soothing to look at from the entrance. read more

This is such a little gem of a park! It's found along the road behind the super target. There's a large walking trail (we even thought maybe we can bring out mtb to just have casual laps close to home) with little picnic tables around. There's no wide open areas of grass or like a kids playground but it's really cute to just have time outdoors walking around when the weather is nice. Also beautiful for photographers!!! I would definitely take photos here the trees and lakes are beautiful. There was a park ranger when we went watching and a covered picnic table area too. Parking is decent, we had to park in the gravel but that's okay. And for my Pokémon go people, there's only 2 poke stops and 1 gym, lots of Pokémon to catch though . read more

This is 50 acre park with a shelter, meeting room, picnic tables, grills, and a restroom. An equestrian trail goes around the lake or you an take it by foot for a 20 minute hike. On my visit I saw someone exercising their horse. The path is nicely shaded by tall Australian Pine trees. There were a lot of ducks by the parking area because someone dumps feed for them. On my visit I also saw squirrels, ibis, lizards, and common moor hens swimming. You can fish here as well as boat if the boat does not have a motor. This is a peaceful passive park mainly used by people exercising their dogs and horses. It is very similar to the nearby Silver Lakes Rotary Park. As the sign cautions you on the fence before entering, be respectful of the wildlife around you and you won't have any problem. As this is an open body of fresh water you must be mindful of alligators and snakes. read more

Absolutely loved this place as did my kids. Nice lake to just sit back and enjoy. I love coming here to walk and explore with my kids. They love seeing the fish in the lake and follow the horse tracks. On this last trip we sat on a log to rest and we found a caterpillar it was the best teaching moment for my kids to just watch it in its natural habitat and we of course went through the butterfly cycle as we watched it. I've lived in the Davie area for 33 years and had never been to Wolf Lake Park until a couple of months ago, and it has quickly became my favorite park in Broward County. The entire park is basically a dirt walking path around a beautiful lake. The whole lake is surrounded by pine trees so the majority of the path is shaded which is very important in South Florida. It is so peaceful and a great place to either come for a nice walk, or to bring some chairs and sit around the lake and relax or use one of the many picnic tables around the southwest portion of the lake.
