Great hidden park to go for a walk or even take your dogs for a walk. I do recommend you wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. There is no spots to drink water when doing the full lap. They do have picnic benches towards the entrance and do be careful a there is a lot of horse poop you might run into. So watch as you walk.
This is a small but beautiful little park wrapped around a lake. It's perfect for that morning walk or afternoon jog, especially on a nice day. The trail is about a mile around the lake and flat, making it an easy walk. Perfect for the kids to ride bikes or kick a ball around. There is a small event space available, restrooms are fairly clean but has no toilet paper. There are no drinking fountains. There is ample parking available however, they tend to fill up quickly on weekends. On the morning I walked the trail, there were a few doggy classes in progress with the cutest pups! Owners were friendly enough to let us pet them. This park is used a lot for photo shoots as well. We saw someone preparing a "Will You Marry Me?" back drop.
Pros: it's free and has free parking. It's also a unique walk with the pine trees along the lake it is a great spot for walking and dog friendly. There are bathrooms and a picnic area as well. Cons: If you're walking solo it can feel a bit isolated even when people are there. I'd recommend bringing a friend or general situational awareness but nothing has happened here to me. Also while the pine trees are unique and beautiful the needles can really get caught in my dog's fur so I can't take them as often as I'd like. Overall it's a great place for a nature walk and relaxing.
I visited again and still think it's a great park. There is a lot of shade along the 1 mile loop walking path. Dogs are allowed in the path. People and dogs are not allowed in the water. There is plenty of parking.
I love this little park. There's a beautiful lake with a path that you can walk on that circles around the lake. There are also a few separate trails off the main path that are cool to explore. A good portion of the path is shaded which makes the walk around the lake even nicer. The thing I like most is that it's never overly crowded. On a recent visit I saw people picnicking, people lying on a hammock they attached to two trees, people walking and jogging and pet owners with their pups. On a previous visit I even saw some people with their horses in the water! It's a great little place to just go and enjoy the day!
This is one of my all time favorite parks. It's very dog friendly. You can picnic, lay down or sit under the shade, sightsee the neighbor's cows, walk, jog/run, meditate, and more. There are many trees so it helps keep the park not too hot. The restrooms are clean most of the time I've gone. I love the big lake and wildlife.
Great views. Nice Sunday nature walk with the family. Plenty of fishing spots. We had hours of fun walking around soaking in nature. Great for small picnics & lunch dates. Bathroom & park is well maintained.
Such a hidden gem! This trail is about 1.5 miles total ( per my applewatch)--surrounded by beautiful trees that make the whole walk feel peaceful and refreshing. I passed a few other people with their dogs on leashes, which added to the nice community vibe. It's honestly the perfect spot to disconnect and reset. It doesn't even feel like you're in South Florida--. Highly recommend if you're looking for a little nature break.
Hidden Gem minutes from the hustle and bustle of University Drive. What a pleasant park space to walk and enjoy the outdoors.
Love this park! Discovered this park while needing to research bugs for my college science program. Such a cool variety of critters if you're interested in looking at them. There is a walking trail around the whole lake, that's about a good 20 minute walk. Sometimes the lake is open to do activities but sometimes it's closed. It's so pretty to just walk around and enjoy the outside. Definitely give it a visit if you like getting fresh air and exploring!
What a lovely park . I felt like I was in the Pacific Northwest with all the pine trees . This is a great family park . I felt very safe running around the park . The park is about a one mile lap, I went there to run 3 miles and I was easily distracted by the beautiful views of the lake and the horses around . It is common that people ride horses around the park so you will run into horse poop. It's a nice park to brings your dogs as well . They have a few picnic tables as well .
What a lovely place for a run/walk around a giant lake. Bring your dog, they'll enjoy the trail. Watch out for horse poop!! Lots of horse poop, so much. It almost becomes a game to dodge it at one point. The trail itself is beautiful, say hi to the cows. Lots of joggers taking advantage of the shade path due to the large trees. Free parking, great park!!
This park is my absolute fav!!! It reminds me of North Florida and is almost like my escape from real life. This park is perfect for a casual stroll, walking big dogs, photoshoots, (my sister even got engaged here!), horse riding, or picnic dates with significant others or just friends. Wolf Lake is actually my go to spot for a picnic, and I've brought countless friends here so they can experience the serenity of the lake and the trees. Only caution: Watch out for horse poop. It's on the trails but easily identifiable. If there's any park or lake to check out in South Florida, it's this one!
Wolf Lake Park is off the beaten path in Davie . There are a few picnic tables. There is a covered pavilion with a grill. There were several people walking along the gravel path around the lake during my visit. There was even someone in a motorized wheelchair able to navigate the path. The path is very shaded. There were people fishing. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop for a short visit however it's not really worth going out of your way for. read more

I came here to get a few photo shots of my beautiful wife and I was surprised by how nice it was considering it's location. After doing a quick search to find a nearby park, we zipped into this place which we came to find out was a little hidden gem. The park is beautiful with a nice walking trail, picnic tables, fishing area, a playground, and open fields for recreation. The park is also home to (you guessed it) Wolf Lake, which is a large sparkling lake that I briefly witnessed someone fishing. There were other water-based activities available as well. We got a kick out walking with some of the ducks that weren't too scared when we got close haha. The park seems like it provides a peaceful and natural environment for visitors to enjoy. If we were ever in the area again, I wouldn't mind going back. It's a great option to spend a day outdoors with family and friends. read more
The park is super serene. It almost felt like you have left Florida for a little bit. The lake is gorgeous but it was closed for water sports today. The 1.1 mile hike was super pretty with picturesque views of the lake as you continue your walk. read more

WoW what a find. A truely magical natural type lake with a walk that you can go on, around the entire lake which takes about 20 minutes. If you love nature and exploring, THIS is the spot for you. A very natural setting, I loved it. Pine needles under foot, forest environment with pine trees, a lake in the middle, turtles, fish, ducks good company and fresh air what more do you need? See my photographs and transport yourself. read more

Otherworldly beautiful. Such an unexpected gem. You have to see it to believe it. The layout of the park is basically a flat trail that's about a mile long that wraps around this magnificent green lake. Near the end of the trial there's a spectacular hilly area next to the flat trail. Wolf Lake Park is by far my favorite Park discovery in Broward County. read more
Definitely a hidden gem in Davie! My 7 year old and I recently discovered this park, and we loved it! He is super into nature and exploring, so this was the perfect spot for him! I felt like we were in North Carolina or something at certain points. Very shaded and usually a nice breeze..even on scorching days, it's not bad in the shaded areas. Our dog loved it too! The trail around the lake is the perfect length too for a child and a dog. Not too short, not too long. Pack a little picnic and check it out! You can get some great pics too! read more

I guess that's definitely our favorite park. Was here with my dog first time today. That's the perfect place if you're looking for a quiet place and avoid some sun. read more
We were looking for a quiet, socially distant spot, that allowed dogs on a Sunday afternoon recently. I really just wanted to get some exercise and walk a couple of miles. This place fit the bill perfectly. It's got a path around the lake that's tree shaded over much of it. The path is dirt but pretty smooth so I could walk my pup on his own power but put him in his wagon when he got too tired to walk. It's quiet, and pretty, and horses are allowed as well as dogs on leashes which people obeyed. Plenty of picnic tables. The ducks are friendly and the other patrons were friendly as well as polite. For the most part it was pretty well kept. I wore sandals but I would suggest sneakers instead because parts are sandy and I did see some fire ant mounds. We really enjoyed it and plan to return soon. Tip- parking was no problem and it's free to get in. Thanks to the City of Davie for this lovely park! read more

This probably one of the most beautiful spaces you can enter. For nature enthusiasts and big time adventures this is a beautiful park to explore. My family and I went there with the expectation of a small atmosphere but I was stunned by how huge the trail. The sound of the pine trees were phenomenal they sounds like the wind howling but musical. There's tons of space for a picnic, to take photos and even for the people who love to paint in nature. The experience is what I call "Feels like I'm in another state". The people exploring are friendly but there's so much space everyone can enjoy. If you're going to visit I suggest grabbing some picnic items and enjoy. Excellent for babies, there eyes will wonder and the sleep be GOOOD lol. Also in case you're stuck in the car because of rain the view is amazing and soothing to look at from the entrance. read more

This is such a little gem of a park! It's found along the road behind the super target. There's a large walking trail (we even thought maybe we can bring out mtb to just have casual laps close to home) with little picnic tables around. There's no wide open areas of grass or like a kids playground but it's really cute to just have time outdoors walking around when the weather is nice. Also beautiful for photographers!!! I would definitely take photos here the trees and lakes are beautiful. There was a park ranger when we went watching and a covered picnic table area too. Parking is decent, we had to park in the gravel but that's okay. And for my Pokémon go people, there's only 2 poke stops and 1 gym, lots of Pokémon to catch though . read more

This is 50 acre park with a shelter, meeting room, picnic tables, grills, and a restroom. An equestrian trail goes around the lake or you an take it by foot for a 20 minute hike. On my visit I saw someone exercising their horse. The path is nicely shaded by tall Australian Pine trees. There were a lot of ducks by the parking area because someone dumps feed for them. On my visit I also saw squirrels, ibis, lizards, and common moor hens swimming. You can fish here as well as boat if the boat does not have a motor. This is a peaceful passive park mainly used by people exercising their dogs and horses. It is very similar to the nearby Silver Lakes Rotary Park. As the sign cautions you on the fence before entering, be respectful of the wildlife around you and you won't have any problem. As this is an open body of fresh water you must be mindful of alligators and snakes. read more

Great way to spend the afternoon with your dog! The lake is beautiful and the walking trail isn't super long, but it's long enough to enjoy a nice and quiet stroll. You'll see people horseback riding - a sure way to get your dog excited. But fair warning: be careful with the horse poop! read more
I've lived in the Davie area for 33 years and had never been to Wolf Lake Park until a couple of months ago, and it has quickly became my favorite park in Broward County. The entire park is basically a dirt walking path around a beautiful lake. The whole lake is surrounded by pine trees so the majority of the path is shaded which is very important in South Florida. It is so peaceful and a great place to either come for a nice walk, or to bring some chairs and sit around the lake and relax or use one of the many picnic tables around the southwest portion of the lake. It's a perfect place to bring a book, find a quiet spot, and listen to the wind in the pines. read more

Absolutely loved this place as did my kids. Nice lake to just sit back and enjoy. I love coming here to walk and explore with my kids. They love seeing the fish in the lake and follow the horse tracks. On this last trip we sat on a log to rest and we found a caterpillar it was the best teaching moment for my kids to just watch it in its natural habitat and we of course went through the butterfly cycle as we watched it. We definitely come here to get away and be able to walk under some shade. I also enjoy that it's tucked away and surrounding farms make it super enjoyable. read more
This is a peaceful, pretty park. There is a lake in the center, surrounded by tall pine trees. It's a very tranquil setting. The bathrooms are clean as well. I took a pleasant walk with my dog earlier today. Be careful, though. People also use the walking trail for their horseback riding. They don't clean up after their horses. Watch your step! read more
