This seemed like a very reasonable compromise in quality and price. There is nothing immediately within walking distance regarding restaurants unless you consider the restaurant in the hotel. This place, however, is on the road in between Lee and Lenox so is pretty convenient with a car, many places within 5-10 min drive. The lake views are gorge, especially if you are lucky enough to get a room overlooking it. Our view was of the parking lot but I can't complain given how much it cost per night. The room wasn't overwhelmingly large but we had enough room to open our suitcases, so that was nice. The bathroom was decently sized. The staff I interacted with were all very nice and friendly. I had to sign away the possibility of seeing another penny in my life if my dogs had any kind of accidents but fortunately they were well behaved. I am not sure if there is an elevator btw which came as a surprise. Fortunately this was just a two night stay (which doesn't guarantee anything with me) so I was able to carry my shit up the stairs pretty easily. I thought the bed was comfortable and they provided more pillow than I am used to. The thermostat worked well. There wasn't a closet or iron probably the first time I've ever needed to use one. I would stay here again.

Room was clean but on the smaller side. Fridge had some stains in the back. Walls are thin, we could hear people in the hallway and the people next to us. The main road is quite busy and we could hear the cars and trucks even though we were towards the back of the hotel. Breakfast had a good amount of options like cereal, waffle maker and breakfast sandwiches. Only 4 tables in the breakfast area. Stayed here for 3 nights. On the second day, housekeeping didn't make our room by the time we came back in the afternoon. They cleaned all the check out rooms first which doesn't make any sense.

The musical ambiance at breakfast is also reminiscent of my own playlists, with a mix of classical, new age, and soft instrumental listening. The historic inn retains much of its charm with original details throughout - truly a step into New England country charm. My partner, now fiancée, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will forever be memorable as our engagement destination. We are looking forward to returning for many years to come!

It was also great to see some of the pieces of the schools history maintained and fun reading all the notes left on the chalk boards by previous guests. There was keurig machine in our room and outside in the hallway as well as an espresso machine, both fully stocked with lots of great options! We happened to be there over Memorial Day weekend so had a nice view of the parade sitting right outside of the Inn! We will definitely be back!

The beds were immaculate, and so comfortable. Most of my time was spent in bed, and I got what I came for to RELAX and get away from the city life. The villa is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and full kitchen with all you need if you're going to cook. My son enjoyed the private balcony, where he played and we watched the creek right in the backyard. It was beautiful and calming. We will absolutely return, and SOON.

She is one of my guides and we had a very thoughtful conversation about my itinerary. She made some key adjustments that really aligned with my needs and also took time to explain some of the concerns I had. I would absolutely give her a full 5-star rating- way to go, Kelty! Additionally, I had a conversation with Tim couple days ago who was my reservation agent. Tim went above an beyond-he helped me arrange payment for my package, showed a lot of care, and even spoke with his supervisor to ensure my concerns were met. The building is really beautiful and at any other time we would have made use of the beautiful common spaces indoors and not just enjoyed our room and the grounds. The room was impeccably cleaned and staff were attentive to needs that came up during the visit. The absolute stand out was our room service meal set in front of the wood-burning fireplace in our room. They came up with a table, offered us options for chairs, had all of the food wrapped in plastic and covered in warming lids, but done in a way that did not interfere with even the delicate plating details. The portions were substantial and food quality was outstanding. They even provided gluten-free options that went above and beyond to accommodate an allergy. I wish I could give 4.5 because there were some minor areas for improvement, but I will round up given COVID was likely a contributing factor.

They didn't like where my husband parked our car. No biggie. I think the Pool Boy could have handled it. All he had to do is ask us to move it. Next thing we know the manger of the Hotel comes to the pool standing over us suit & all. After announcing his titled he ordered my husband to move the car. It was definitely a reprimand for his bad behavior. Of course he moved the car. When we returned to our room there was a hand written note offering to serve us dinner in our room that evening. I called the desk to ask about this & was told this was a new thing they were offering ! We ate dinner in town that evening.. I could go on & on with our crimes & misdemeanors. I spoke to this TIGHT A.S JERK when we were checking out . I asked if the General Manger was available. He has a total passive aggressive personality. I expressed my disappointment about the weekend. He went through the list list & more of the above. Wait a minute , aren't I the quest. Isn't this his job ? Doesn't it come with the territory! If he was so disapproving of us he could have asked us to checkout. He didn't do that though. He wanted our $3900. He may not have like us but he liked our money.

She makes a beautiful hot-and-cold breakfast, bakes her own afternoon (individually wrapped) cookies to put out in the afternoon/upon arrival, and even puts out wine and cheese daily at 5pm. Not only that, but in our room upon arrival was a small decanter of brandy and accompanying chocolate truffles. Compare that to a regular hotel minibar, which you are practically charged for even looking at it, much less taking from it. The room felt very cozy. The bathroom was spacious, nicely decorated. Shower pressure was good. The bed was a little firmer than I would expect, but not a problem. The TV in the room was an old, small SD TV/VCR combo unit, but there was also a large, flat screen in the TV/sunroom on the main level.
