Kam is one of the nicest, most easy going people you are ever likely to meet. He immediately put me at ease about taking our kids up in a small aircraft. He was funny but super knowledgeable. He talked us through everything - from the mechanics of the airplane, to the physics of flying and all of the processes that he was completing prior to and during our flight. This wasn't like it was just his job - Kam clearly has a love of aviation and it shows. It was as if he was just our buddy enjoying the experience right along with us. The airplane had high-end headsets that allowed us to listen to all of his communication with traffic controllers and to speak clearly to each other without shouting over the engine. He allowed my daughter to assist him flying and take control which was a real treat for her. If you are looking for an aerial experience, be it just a pleasure flight, something to check off your bucket list, a proposal or even a sky uber to avoid LA traffic... check these guys out. He answered our questions and was very confident and calm. Our brother learned a lot while we were the passenger princesses in the back. It's very tight and my 6'4" brother barely fit. It definitely feels like a rollercoaster at times with how delicate the controls are. Even just going slightly down or up had those stomach drop feelings. I definitely recommend taking anti-motion sickness medicine if you're sensitive. The views are definitely amazing on a clear day and the helicopter was mostly glass. 30 minutes was a good amount of time and went by slowly. Definitely recommend to try once as it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The flight itself was incredibly smooth and gave us a breathtaking bird's-eye view of Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Venice, and Santa Monica before continuing along the coast to our landing destination in Malibu. Along the way, Anthony and Albert kept us engaged with thoughtful commentary and interesting details about the notable landmarks we could see from above. Once we landed, Albert was fantastic. He gave us helpful guidance and suggestions for posing, and we could not be happier with the final photographs. He was equally fantastic before and during the flight, helping us stage photographs as we entered the helicopter and throughout the tour. He captured the experience beautifully. From start to finish, our engagement experience was absolutely unforgettable, and we will cherish these memories for years to come. This out and back hike is about 17 miles with about 4100' gain (some of it on the return). It…read morestarts from the peaceful campground and continues onto Baden-Powell peak, the 4th highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains. Along the way, there are opportunities to stop at several other peaks, such as Dawson, Hawkins, Throop, and Burnham. This would add several more miles to the total hike. The trail is single file with varying sizes of loose rock under foot. Most of the trail is a fairly tame ascension, but there are also multiple areas of decline, which of course means climbing up on the way back. You will follow signs to Windy Gap, Pacific Crest Trail, then Baden-Powell. At the summit, there are nice 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and cities far below. A dedicated monument and plaque stands, honoring and named after the founder of the Boy Scouts. parking - adventure pass required for the parking lot tip - this hike starts at about 5,000 feet, so it may be cooler than expected, depending on the season. In the summer heat, though, it's still quite warm.

I did the Spain/Andorra/Portugal 2026 trip. This was my 6th trip with 1000 Treks. As with the other…read moretrips, it was awesome! It was different than the other trips in that I would describe it as a road trip with friends. We met in Barcelona where we rented two vans. We started up in Andorra, traveled down through Spain, ZIPLINED from Spain into Portugal (!!), then drove up through Portugal to our final destination in Porto. Due to the road trip nature of this trip, we had a lot of flexibility in how we approached the itinerary. It was so jam-packed with places to see that it was almost overwhelming - in a good way! We saw castles, cathedrals, Basilicas, palaces, and gardens galore! We did too many things to list all of it here, but my favorites included exploring the underwater river, spending the night in a castle, exploring sea caves along the coast in a Zodiak speedboat, the cultural shows, ziplining across the Spain/Portugal border, hiking moorish castle grounds, exploring the villages & towns we passed through... As always, the people in the group were a lot of fun. I knew a few from previous trips & made new friends as well. There were three couples, and the others were a good mix of solo men & women. I'm guessing the ages ranged from 40s to 70s. I loved the diversity of this group. Eduardo (1000 Treks owner) did another amazing job of putting together an interesting, unique, affordable itinerary. I love how he arranges everything and all I have to do is show up at the designated meeting time each day. I also appreciate the flexibility. For example, if a planned activity falls outside of my comfort zone, I can skip it and do my own thing. I also commend Eduardo for how he manages conflict. Any trip of this magnitude (3+ weeks) is bound to produce a hiccup or two. Eduardo went above and beyond to make sure everyone was satisfied and taken care of. I highly recommend traveling with Eduardo & 1000 Treks. I've loved every trip (I should say adventure!) and I won't trust my travel dollars with anyone else. One of my favorites was the guided cave hike, which felt intimate and personalized, more of a 1-on-1 experience than a generic group tour. The same goes for the scenic treks in both the Sweden and Finland Laplands, biking through nature on e-bikes, alternating between hot saunas and icy plunges, visiting the Ice Hotel amongst other activities. These aren't your typical travel excursions, they're immersive, off-the-beaten-path moments that stick with you. It was a bit challenging at first (my body definitely felt it!), but I quickly adapted and came home stronger, more energized, and so fulfilled. We rent 2 spots and the hobbit house; one of the worst thing was the hobbit house where my sister and her family got bitten of bedbugs. The river was dirty, not of the pictures showed . The only good thing was the Lady of the front, she's so sweet and kind.
