This is our 3 time taking a helicopter ride. First 2 were in Hawaii. This time we were celebrating my 27yr old Autistic daughter's birthday. She absolutely loved it. One of the most fun experiences I've had this year, absolutely worth doing it again. Everyone is super kind and friendly! Especially the pilot, he was amazing and did a great job showing us around, but most importantly he made me feel safe (I've flown short flights on small jets before but the helicopter ride felt quite different- like more exposed). Best service all around, they answered all my questions and concerns. Once the reservation was booked, they provided follow up details in the confirmation email. You also receive a reminder text the day prior and arrival instructions the day of. Once you notify them you've arrived, they meet you, escort you in, walk you to the lounging room (there's complementary snacks, water, coffee etc). The L room was neatly organized spacious and clean. We were instructed to watch a safety video before boarding. (We got distracted so we had to watch it twice lol). They helped us take pictures after, it was such a positive experience. read more

Hanger 21 hosted our corporate event, the staff and layout were all really nice. The staff had a theme and kept it up well. The food stations and bar were good (not a lot of vegetarian options, but I'm not sure if that's the fault of the business.) Our local Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser was held here recently and what a gorgeous venue. You wouldn't know it from the outside, it is after all a teeny-tiny airport, but have they got a surprise in store! As you walk in through the gate, there is a large open space with the airway as the backdrop. We were able to have a big band area and lots of space for food stations, silent auction displays, the bar, other displays like a Jewlery wall and cute lounge areas. And then the hangar was a gorgeous space set up with tables and another stage...huge plus was that it's a hangar, so the wall rolled up and we could still have the open air but be protected from the cold. We volunteered at the event in registration so we spent the first half of the evening in the front parking area. There is a decent parking lot where we had some classic cars on display and managed the line for valet. There is quite a bit of parking along the front, running parallel to the street and lining the whole airport. My recommendation if you're attending an event here is to park there as opposed to leveraging valet if you can...will save you a ton of time when you want to go home. We were lucky enough to also attend the program portion of the fundraiser, so we were able to experience sitting at a table in the warmth of the hangar to take in the amazing stories around what Ronald McDonald House Charities does to keep families together. The surroundings are really quite beautiful and I can see how this venue works perfectly for fundraiser galas such as this, corporate events or weddings. It blends classic beauty with a novel concept (like the fact you could walk out and take a helicopter ride if you were willing to pay for it...and this was really a thing that you could pay for to benefit this charity). I would highly recommend Hangar 21 as a venue! read more

Booked a Downtown LA tour with Nolan our pilot who showed us the sites from Huntington Beach to LA and back. Had a great time. I'd flown in a helicopter before but my buddy who went with me hadn't and had a blast. This was one of those memorable events that you'll never live down. I wanted to do this with my daughter who was afraid of this sort of stuff being 13 years old. So after I showed her the videos and pictures she said she'd try it out. My buddy had originally said he was gonna pass too, but changed his mind after our Vegas trip shooting some automatic weaponry LOL. We had a great time and Nolan really made it what it was. Grateful for this experience and look forward to being back and doing it again. If you're on the fence about trying this out, don't be. Pull the trigger and give it a shot. You'll be happy you did. Hangar 21, you truly are special. My husband and I just had both our ceremony and reception at Hangar 21. There are so many reasons we chose Hangar for our special day but some of the key reasons are: the open venue that allows you to take your vision in to life, the amazing food (there is also a tasting you get invited to), the infamous helicopter entrance, and the associates who go above and beyond to help with planning. An unforgettable experience. The team from Hanger 21 are amazing!!! My wife surprised me for my 50th with a 1hr sunset flight. We left Fullerton, headed over Long Beach, up the coast to Santa Monica for the sunset, then inland to Universal Studios and the Hollywood sign - then through DTLA and back to Fullerton. On 9/26/2020 my wife and I celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary. To start off our fun celebration I decided to book a helicopter flight for us. Several days before our Anniversary I reviewed a lot of Helicopter businesses but I decided to go with Hanger 21 because of two things... Safety and Price. Many of the reviews talked about how safety was important to Hanger 21 and that in my opinion is first on my list. The prices were also a little more reasonable that other businesses that I looked at. When I went to book our flight online I noticed that the time I was looking for was not available. I called and left Hanger 21 a message and I received a call and text message from Alex. Alex was able to get me a flight closer to the time that I wanted. When the day came for our flight we arrived at Hanger 21 and we were greeted by Mike who was very friendly and directed us to the flight lounge area. Shortly after that Mike introduced us to our pilot Alex (whom I had spoken with on the phone). Alex encouraged us to enjoy some refreshments that they provided before our flight and that he would be back to review safety and a few other things with us. When Alex came back he sat us down and asked if we had previously flown in a helicopter before, I had but my wife had not. Also, my wife was a little nervous because of the Kobe Bryant crash that occurred earlier in the year. Alex took the time to discuss my wife's concerns and he talked about the safety measures they have in place. After reviewing safety we reviewed our flight path and discussed what we would be seeing on our flight. We never felt rushed to get onto the helicopter to take off. Once out at the helicopter Alex took us up in the air and we began our flight past Knott's berry Farm towards Huntington Beach. On our way to Crystal Cove we're able to see several dolphins in the water by the Newport Beach Pier. On our flight back we also saw seals in the water. Alex pointed out some great landmarks for us and he was great at communicating with us during the flight. After we landed Mike picked up from the helicopter and took us back to the hanger. My wife and I were excited and thrilled that we had such a wonderful helicopter ride and a great pilot. Alex and Mike truly know how to provide great customer service and from the time we arrived to he time we had to leave we felt like we were their number one priority. I definitely recommend Hanger 21 and I look forward to flying with them again in the future. read more

Brought my brother here for his birthday and it was an amazing experience!! When you first arrive you're greeted by the pilot and taken into a lounge to complete some paperwork. About 10 minutes later you're heading out to the helicopter and strapping in for take off. You're provided with headsets to speak to each other during the ride. The whole ride was very smooth and amazing. I opted for the Long Beach Helicopter ride and I was not disappointed. Being able to see the ocean from the inside of a helicopter was INSANE. Our pilot was nice and dropped the plane a few times to scare us, but I was all there for it! I loved the adrenaline LOL They are decently priced and seem to have open availability. If you're in the mood to be a little adventurous and ballsy definitely opt for riding with Hangar 21!! Peep the pics!! I'll open this review with some background on me: I consider myself one of the lucky ones. I get to travel quite a bit for work, and as a result, I've been on my fair share of helicopter rides. I've flown over the Sydney Harbor, the islands of Fiji, and the volcanoes of Hawaii - just to name a few. One this that has always been on my bucket list to flyover? Disneyland and the Hollywood Sign. When Disneyland announced they would be shutting down the parks for a while because of COVID-19, I knew this would be the perfect chance to get up high above Los Angeles and see the city like few have seen it -- empty and smog free! I put a post online looking for anybody who could lead me in the right direction for helicopter flights in the area. I was immediately put in touch with Alex, who I had a great conversation with. We talked about my chopper dreams, and before the day had come to a close, we had a date on the books for my Los Angeles flyover. The day of the flyover arrived and I met the Hanger 21 team at the Fullerton Airport. Alex prepped me on safety while the helicopter pilot went to do a final systems check and start the chopper. A few moments later, we were informed that a safety light had come on during the start up - and they wanted to investigate more to see if it was something they could fix before flight. Alex and the pilot returned after inspecting the helicopter some more and asked if we could re-schedule to later in the week. They felt AWFUL about having to re-schedule -- but it was because they put safety above all else. It was completely understandable, and not their fault at all! Hanger 21 has a reputation of keeping all their passengers safe; and although I was bummed we wouldn't be flying - I was relieved that they took their safety protocols so seriously. That night, Alex texted me to apologize again and re-assure me that our flight would happen real soon. Just two days later, I got word from Alex that they were ready to go! We (once again) met at their hanger at the Fullerton Airport and the safety checks began immediately. This time, we got the all clear! Everything looked good and we were ready to take to the friendly skies. My flight traveled all across Los Angeles - with a beautiful flyover of the Hollywood sign, an epic flyover of Downtown LA, and an incredible flyover of the Disneyland Resort to end such a special flight. I was so relaxed the entire time - and I, as an aviation fan, enjoyed listening in on the headset to the air traffic control throughout the duration of the ride. Needless to say, I did not want the ride to come to an end! As I said at the beginning, I am one of the lucky ones who has done a bunch of awesome helicopter experiences. This one really takes the cake. The team at Hanger 21 are the very best in the business. They put safety first - ALWAYS.
