I WANT A REFUND!! I bought a flight for two on Groupon as a surprise for my Boyfriend's birthday. I contacted the merchant to book and booking went smoothly, I got a confirmation email and all so the day of I decided to call just to confirm my flight and no answer. I live more than an hour away so I was scared upon arrival but since I had a confirmation email I trusted them; I called 25 times the day of, we arrived 25 minutes early and waited until our flight time but the place was completely closed. I have called every single day since, (one week now) left voicemails, reached out to Groupon and no one is giving me an answer. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with this company. It started when we showed up on time, as we were told not to be late, and the helicopter was not back from another trip. After 30 min of waiting we were told all their other helicopters could not be flown due to maintenance issues and the one we were waiting for will be back any minute. It did come back but then need to be refueled and it seemed like 2 guys were working on it. Finally after an hour late we did the tour and the pilot seemed rushed and upset. I visited this location on 11/24/2022. When arriving the parking was very minimal with maybe 4 total spots in the front of the building. When we arrived we noticed there was not a receptionist present and didn't see one until 8-10 minutes after our reservation time. Once meeting the pilot of our flight everything was perfect. She was very kind and social. She educated us on safety and pointed out the tourist attractions during our flight. We chose the 30 minute flight and it was the perfect amount of time. We saw a lot more than we imagined. I would suggest selecting the 4:30-5:00 tour because you get to see the sunset and the beautiful lights of the city. The in the helicopter spacing was very cozy. read more

I took my parents on a 45 minute flight that went over the ocean and then to the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood and Downtown LA. The ride was very cool and I would recommend. For people who have never been in a helicopter and think the ride would be jittery this was not my experience and found it to be very smooth. We were going about 80 mph but it felt like 40 mph in a car. Note for riders with limited mobility- It can be challenging to get into the helicopter as the door sill in about 3 feet off the ground. However, my father has limited mobility and Star Helicopters helped out in the following ways- 1) They have a golf cart that will take a rider from the office directly to the helicopter. 2) Between the pilot and myself we were able to safely lift my father into the seat. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Unpunctual, unprofessional, disappointing I booked a sunset flight to be able to take special photos. When planning the flight, the best time for takeoff and the spots I wanted to see and photograph were discussed. The flight was half an hour late and so the sunset flight became a twilight flight. I did not book this, because I know that photographing is then almost impossible.... Before booking and also afterwards I have several times (also with pictures) my desired destinations called. Unfortunately, these were only partially taken into account, or so that photographing was impossible for me. I have experience with helicopter flights without doors at sunset. Therefore I know that the time (remaining light) is important. With professional companies I made the experience, that one hovers a certain time at or over an object, so that one can photograph well. In addition, professional companies fly to the spots on both sides. Thus, all passengers have the opportunity to see and photograph the same thing. Unfortunately, due to the delay, I could not make another appointment. It was supposed to be a special end to my trip, unfortunately it would be a big disappointment! The pilot made an effort, but it does not change the situation. As a simple sightseeing flight certainly okay, but nothing more! Promising advertising, faulty planning, poor execution! There is still a lot of room for improvement. Communication and service can be improved. That it is better, I have already tested myself. On time, all agreed spots are approached (on both sides and with distance), perfect communication. With these companies you get what you booked and paid for.
