My instructor let me fly the whole time (since I had hours), while he handled comms (wasn't quite ready to embarrass myself in front of the controllers just yet). Our route took us from KEMT past downtown LA, dodger stadium, hollywood sign, KSMO, transited the LAX bravo via LA Special flight rules, KLGB, KFUL, and back. their fleet is well maintained and it was an amazing flight (except I forgot to flair during landing).

Our 1 year old not too much, she didn't wanna keep her headset one and was fuzzy most of the flight, our instructor was very understanding though We got a SD card of our flight to keep as an remembrance which was a plus.
