I'm so fortunate to have discovered Global Aviators Academy and start my aviation journey with Patrick. To say he gave a strong first impression would be an understatement. I had been away from flying for almost 20 years and needed to get a flight review to get current and flying again. Patrick is the owner of Global and the CFI who worked with me. Patrick was very thorough, both on the ground and in the air. He got me current, got me safe and I again feel very comfortable flying safely solo and with family. Patrick went beyond just the bare minimum required by the FAA for a flight review which I appreciated. He was concerned about making aure I was safe and well prepared to return as a PIC, not just checking the minimum boxes listed by the FAA. We did all our work in one of the two C-172s at Global. They do have other aircraft types, but the C172 is what I know so stuck with that. Patrick has a very calm and relaxed approach to flight instruction. Nothing is rushed or pressured. His passion for flying and for teaching it to others is apparent. A very friendly guy pleasant to be around and an enthusiastic teacher. I was recommended to Patrick at Global by a commercial pilot friend who flies professionally. He had used previously Patrick to get through several of his ratings. The recommendation did not disappoint. Finding good flight instruction by an instructor in the business for instruction as a profession (not just building time or building ratings and moving to the next aviation job up the ladder) are rare. The Global facility provides a good venue for ground instruction with easy access from the north side of Brackett, and just steps away from the aircraft. Now that I am again current and flying on my own have had no problems scheduling a C-172 for rental when desired. Enjoying getting up and flying again!
