How often do you have the opportunity to board a small open hangar craft and feel the wind blow by you as you soar over the world beneath you?! Not often at all. Mike was our pilot. He must be one of the friendliest guys I've ever encountered in quite some time. He gave us some nifty leather caps and a mic set so we could talk and hear from each other throughout the flight. You can tell Mike really gets a kick out of the joy others experience through flying with him. What I appreciated the most about this experience was how the plane was constructed. We went for a flight around the Los Angeles basin and further up north via the coast to Camarillo before we headed back to the Van Nuys Airport. Upon return, again, the front desk gal was very pleasant and asked how my first flight with them was. I appreciated the interaction. I had a good time flying and the kindness at Corsair Aviation was noticeable.

You can take a trial class for $25 and it includes all the materials. Rika is a fabulous teacher! She is very helpful and very friendly. It's awesome to go home with something ready to wear. Of course, as a beginner, you won't make anything as complicated as a coat or jacket, but there are simple patterns to choose from to get started. People who sew at different levels, from beginners like me to those who are more experienced, are all welcome. Parking and entrance are behind the building. Don't enter on the Western Avenue side. I'd like to go again with some friends and make a fun afternoon out of it!
