    Private boat ride

I brought my wife on the Boat and Bottle for her birthday and it was a perfect cruise in the harbor to make a memorable night! Sebastian was a great captain and host; while we relaxed and enjoyed the cruise he was bringing our drinks and a charcuterie board, then blankets and a birthday cake and even sang happy birthday! We had a fabulous time and highly recommend!

    Birthday dinner cruise

Boat and Bottle Review - The Wet Dream You Want to Remember If you've ever wondered what it's like to cruise through Naples Island on a boat called Wet Dreams with a wine glass that magically refills itself, look no further--Captain Sebastian has created a floating fantasy that's equal parts luxury, laughter, and "did that just happen?" My wife and I booked a one-hour date night cruise, but once Captain Sebastian heard it was my birthday, he upgraded us to the dinner cruise (for a reasonable fee, not a ransom) and let me tell you--it was the best upsell I've ever said yes to. It felt less like a birthday cruise and more like being adopted by a sea-bound, wine-wielding fairy godfather with a playlist and a spatula. Captain Sebastian is not just a captain. He's also a chef, wine pourer, host, comedian, and if you give him a mic and a glass of merlot, a lounge singer too. He made sure we were safe, well-fed, and emotionally hydrated (translation: our wine glasses were never empty). The man could give the Pope a hospitality lesson. The boat itself? Wet Dreams lives up to the name--sleek, smooth, and not nearly as awkward as it sounds when you say it out loud in front of strangers. Cruising past "Horny Corner" (yes, that's a real place and no, we didn't ask questions), we felt like we were in a dream. A dream that was warmer, buzzier, and better catered than anything I've experienced, including that gondola ride in Venice back in 2011. Sorry, Italy--Sebastian doesn't need a guitar; he is the entertainment. To summarize: romantic ambiance, delicious food, endless wine, comedy gold, and the entertaining voice of a man who clearly missed his calling as a cruise ship cabaret star. It was hands-down the best birthday I've ever had, and I didn't even have to cross an ocean to get there. We're already planning the Catalina overnight cruise next. Because once you ride Wet Dreams, there's no going back. If you're looking for a fun boat cruise, we highly recommend Boat and Bottle

Captain Sebastian went above and beyond to be sure that my girlfriend and I enjoyed our night in Valentines Day. From the hospitality provided to how personable he is we could not have chose a better yacht to cruise on. Thank you for making our night one to remember

My husband and I had a great Mother's Day trip. Captain Sebastian had a platter for us and drinks. He was very inviting and also gave a lot of history about the harbor. We brought our 7 month old with us to which he was very friendly and accommodating. He is a great host and I would recommend him to all my friends. Set sail with captain Sebastian and you will never be disappointed.

ended our anniversary with capt sebastian! enjoyed a nice relaxing ride throughout the calm and peaceful harbor! really recommend going at nighttime to avoid the ripples. capt sebastian made great company and cant wait to re book in the springtime to catalina!

Celebrated my best friend's 25th birthday with Captain Sebastian and he absolutely MADE her big day! His energy was incredible and he truly showed us an amazing time. He was so kind and hilarious; I highly recommend this experience. I will definitely remember it for the rest of my life and will be booking again !!

What stuck out to me the most was how he responded when things went south. Our reservation was originally a few weeks ago but due to a technical error with the lights that was beyond his control, Sebastian had to cancel a full day of reservations and reschedule. Even so, with all of that potential business lost, he still went above and beyond to do right by my party. Last night we came to the dock, he sanitized everything and got us on the boat in a timely matter and we were still laughing it up and acting like it was still my friend's birthday (sash and all)! Super witty and funny, had good music playing the entire time, we're sipping our wine and seeing all the nice houses and views, all while he's cooking our food. Food's awesome, everything's fresh and local and you can just tell this man knows how to throw down on a grill! Then, he surprises my friend with a birthday cake! We had a really amazing time and Sebastian is a very light hearted, chill dude with great business, great customer service and he definitely deserves your dollars!

Such a fun experience! My fiancée and our friends booked Boat and Bottle as a double date and it was SO much fun. Captain Sebastian is the absolute best; funny, kind, chill, and keeps the vibes going. On board, we were welcome to connect our music to the boat speakers, popped 2 bottles of champagne and the wine kept flowing. Snacks were great. Views on the water were incredible. We saw sea lions too! Definitely go with this experience if you want to have the most fun on a boat!!!!

    Supposed delicious cupcakes

Captain Sebastian is totally amazing! He is courteous, friendly, funny, and very personable. His cooking is super delicious. I strongly recommend him to anyone. Give him a try, you won't regret it. My friends and I stepped out from the boat relaxed and happy. Thank you Captain Sebastian!!!

Birthday boat trip was amazing! I will definitely book Sebastian in the future!! He was an amazing host, the wine was immaculate! Thank you!

Rented a boat and took it out for a couple hours to see the holiday lights and enjoy some friend time on the water. Brought our snacks and drinks and navigated out to the canals of Naples. Beautiful this time of year with all the lights and magical holiday vibes. One thing I would say the rental price does not include a service charge of 15% so your total will be 15% more than you expected. I'm sure they note it somewhere along the way in the paperwork but I missed it and asked later when I saw the charge which they cleared up right away. The map is helpful as you may lose reception out on the water. Low tide gives you a more fun experience than high tide as you can't go under some of the bridges if the tide is too high. Check your tide chart before booking or ask them. Nigel's restaurant there seems really fun too crazy use of a space that was just a sidewalk a few years ago. Definitely a great spot to take off from and lots of restaurant options near the dock.

Hours before, they tell us THEY messed up and need us at 3:30. Fine. We show up. Five minutes into the ride, the Bluetooth does not work. Back to the dock we go, dragging a silent boat like it's 1920. They move us to another boat... with a broken table. At this point, the deckhands even admit our time should be adjusted. Enter Nigel, the owner -- the man, the myth, the customer-service void. We ask for fair treatment. He offers a masterclass in how NOT to treat customers: * No flexibility * No ownership * No empathy * No clue how to run a customer-facing business He talks to us like we're inconveniencing him because we expected the boat we paid for to actually work. Then, cherry on top, we get a text later claiming we were late and didn't want to change times. Absolute nonsense. They couldn't even lie well. Anchors Away is the kind of place that turns a fun day on the water into a customer-service horror story. If you value your time, money, or sanity, steer far, far away.

To enter, visitors proceed to the Bixby Hill residential security gate at the intersection of East Anaheim Road and Palo Verde Avenue. Entrance is strictly at 1pm, as the guard will not allow entrance prior to that. Operating hours are 1pm - 5pm Wed - Sun. Initial visit, the barn area w/ the livestock was closed off due to a water main break. Tours of the Adobe Ranch is via a docent-led tour, which can be made at the Rancho Center. No photography is permitted. Tom was the docent, and he was quite knowledgeable of the history of Rancho Los Alamitos, allowing passage into each room on the first floor. Second floor was closed to visitors. My favorite room was the kitchen, as I marveled at the various appliances, such as the still operational refrigerator, with the condenser on top, instead of bottom. Also, the heavy, built to last stove, which probably served a countless number of meals for the family & staff working the ranch. There were a few objects which were available to touch, such as an early proto version of a View-Master. The cherry on top of the Adobe Ranch visit was pulling the rope attached to the dinner bell, signifying everyone to "come & get it!". The handsome, well-maintained garden landscape surrounding the property provides natural beauty & plenty of photo opportunities. Second visit was more fun, as the barn & livestock areas were open to the public, again! Preston, a magnificent Shire horse, towers over almost all visitors, and stuns with his majestic beauty. In the world record books, a Shire horse named Sampson is the largest recorded horse ever, at 7' 2.5" tall & 3,360 lbs. Not to be outdone, Fred the donkey bombastically greets people with his hee-haws. A few rescue horses, sheep & a coop full of chickens provided plenty of enjoyment. A pleasurable afternoon can be had at Rancho Los Alamitos. Visitors gaze back in time upon a working ranch, experience how things were built to stand the test of time, opposed to planned obsolescence of most machinery & appliances, today. Visiting Preston, Fred & the other animals, alone, is worth the drive. I look forward to coming back & I highly recommend giving Rancho Los Alamitos a visit.

I then found their website online and called directly on a week day to discuss their offering. it all sounded great. I called back a bit later and booked a 2 hour boat ride with captain to drive so we could relax. Received an email receipt of the $197 charge to my card. Summary - Saturday I tried to call 3 times to make sure the boat would accommodate one more person. No answer of the phone, no return phone calls. Got to the dock. No one at the dock. No boats. The address listed is a restaurant. The company operating there said that these guys have been scamming and have already been reported to the Sherrif, Long Beach police and some yelp reviews. The yellow flags I dismissed - The phone system they uses is google phone so you state your name and the call patched to the person. Made sense to me if they have people working on a dock so someone can always answer the phone. Weekday calls were always picked up and sounded like the same person. I got a better price by booking over the phone than the Groupon price. I thought that was interesting but I know Groupon charges people to use the service. I also thought that since it's been so cold and rainy all winter, and then cold and foggy the last few months, they may have a slow start to the season so wanted to get boats moving. I did ask him about the reviews indicating they were a scam and he said they were trying to get the reviews removed and it was the other competitor on the dock giving them a hard time.
