Our reservation was originally a few weeks ago but due to a technical error with the lights that was beyond his control, Sebastian had to cancel a full day of reservations and reschedule. I've had to kind of cool off so I could write this properly and it will be long so please bear with me. I called boat and bottle to book a private cruise so that I could propose to my girlfriend. I asked how much for a private boat ride and I was told $195 or $295 for two people (I can't remember exactly). I was asked what the occasion was for after mentioning I wanted to propose I was told that they could do more for me if that was the case. I spoke to the captain for 30 minutes on the phone and I said let's do it! I was told we were getting a $250,000 brand new Yacht after he said that I had expected the Lamborghini of boats to show up. This would not be the case and I will go into detail about that later Well anyway the bill was $1,375 with gratuity included. I was told we get flowers,dinner video and photos. When we booked there wasn't scheduled rain. The Day of it was raining,so here's strike one. There was no call the day before to say, "hey, do you want to rebook this". Strike 2 we show up and this boat is tiny the back of it barely sat 5-6 people and the captain was only 3 feet away at most which completely took the intimacy out of the experience Strike 3 the photos and video are taken on an iPhone 7 Strike 4 was the flowers wine and dinner ribeye steaks was pieces of flank steak cut up and seasoned,the flowers were half dying Ralph's bought flowers and he kept saying how he gave us a free $30 bottle of $8 wine It was wet,cold and just an absolutely not the experience I wanted Would it have made a nice Friday night date? Sure,but it wasn't a $1,300 private intimate experience It was so small of a boat that while dinner was being made I kept having to turn my legs so the captain could walk by and cook it was either that or sit in the rain Maybe a $300 experience on a good day My proposal was ruined my girlfriend cried all night and now I'm out $1,300 and have to try again I was sent the pictures and instantly deleted them I was just so sick to my stomach. The final strike was when i voiced my concerns I was offered only offered a refund for the gratuity after spending 30 minutes on the phone with them trying to justify that what they did was right The pictures on their website are super deceiving And I'm not one to leave a bad review ever unless it was deserved (feel free to check my other reviews) Just want to save someone else from the mistake I made And I'm sure the reply here will be that they included dinner for free and included two people for a total of 4 in at no no charge We got an hour boat ride With cheap dinner for 4 people with an underwhelming experience Update to captains reply I didn't ask for all my money back And there was never a threat of a bad review in there what so ever in fact I never had any intention of doing so what so ever because I had specifically told him I'd definitely go on a day trip but for what the event was I wasn't satisfied with what I got The phone call in which he gaslighted me for 30 minutes is where I made the decision to post something and he did offer back his gratuity but that was never optional it was included in the trip 18% now if my cousin tipped him afterwards I have no clue I didn't ask for all the money back he asked "what could I do to make it right and I said it was more of a 500-700 trip than a 1300 trip This is where he offered back his 18% of included gratuity and I did say I could care less about the $200 it was never about the money though I really just wanted a bit more of an apology but I think the captains reply filled with insults and snide comments should give you a much better idea of the business owner than my review ever could read more
