I booked a Laguna Beach tour as a surprise for my girlfriend and WOW was she surprised. Rick and Patti were so nice and helpful and made the whole experience amazing. Rick was funny, professional, and engaged the whole flight. We started with a goofy safety video, then a really neat walk on the runway to the helicopter followed by some photos in the helicopter. We then took off and saw California from a completely different perspective. It was breathtaking and Rick pulled some sick moves in the air. He had an amazing breath of knowledge and trivia of the area and showed us some of the nicest homes I have ever seen including the homes of the In N out Family. My girlfriend who was so terrified in the beginning, loved the experience. Would 100 percent recommend the experience. It's worth it!!!

So if they don't get to answer your calls because they might be busy, she will surely get back to you. Today we celebrated my sisters and boyfriends birthdays. Ric was our fun-amazing-knowledgeable Pilot who made us feel safe and we had so much fun the whole time up in the air. We truly appreciate the knowledge he shared about his experience as a pilot and what he knew about the city. My wife surprised me with a helicopter tour of Coastal Orange County today and it was so amazing. From the time we arrived, Captain Rick treated us like family and was very accommodating and informative. You can tell he loves aviation. My wife also commented to me that his wife who does the booking was amazing as well. Flying in a helicopter can make you a bit nervous but Rick did an amazing job telling us when to expect a little bumpy-ness. It's one of the most beautiful locations in the world made all the better seen from above. I'd happily fly with Rick again and as someone who never leaves reviews, I felt compelled to leave one because the experience was so positive.
My boyfriend surprised me with a helicopter ride for our one year anniversary and it was hands down the best date I have ever had we had the best pilot Captain Rick who took care of us. We toured around Newport Beach and Laguna beach. Rick has the best personality, he's so playful and fun if your going here on a date request him for romantic detours and more fun surprises.

Such a beautiful experience, we love local and don't always have the opportunity to enjoy the paradise we live in. My husband my toddler and I took a 30 min ride across the shoreline with Captain Rick, we were in such great hands and you could see his love of what he does. It was a magical experience and Captain Rick went out of his way to ensure we had the full experience

Absolutely phenomenal experience! Took my husband as a surprise turns out he had been on a helicopter before but said the experience didn't even compare to this one. The helicopter we used was small but modern which allowed our pilot to do some pretty cool tricks. We got to get really low tot he water, hover in one spot, say hi to paddle boarders, go sideways etc. it was a blast! I am terrified of flying as well but wanted to do this as a bucket list experience! Our pilot was very sensitive to me being fearful and checked in with me often. The second we took off I knew we were in good hands. We had so much fun we want to go again!
One of the best and most memorable experiences I have had. I purchased this through Groupon as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We got there and were immediately greeted by Rick and Patti. We had the pleasure of meeting their dog Max too, while we watched the safety video and filled out some paperwork. They were very entertaining. Loved how Patti was very easy going and funny. After that Patti and Rick walked us through the tarmac where they pointed out some fun facts about some of the private jets and helicopters on site. We got to their helicopter and it was immaculate! Very well kept and I especially loved the beautiful Eagle on the tail of the helicopter. Before we got onto the helicopter, Patti was nice enough to take pictures of us outside and inside the helicopter. Soon enough, we got buckled in and prepared for takeoff! Rick is an amazing pilot and was an amazing tour guide. He pointed out a ton of different sites and cool historical facts on our ride towards the Laguna Beach coast and answered all the questions we had during the flight. We even did a hover over the beach in front of a bunch of beach goers. It was super cool! Thank you Patti, Rick and Max for a birthday memory my husband and I will never forget! We would definitely want to do it again in the near future and would be a great gift for anyone of all ages.
Had the opportunity to take one of OC Helicopters tours and had a great time. Once the passengers were there, we were safety briefed by Ric the pilot. Great guy and lots of flight time. Was nice to know that he was a former military pilot so he got great training and flight time and as one of the owners it nice to support veteran owned businesses. Ric then tells us about the flight, where we will go and what might we'll see. After that we head out to the helo. Ric gives us a quick history on the Airbus Helicopters EC-120, it being a former police helicopter, I know this is nice since it was well taken care of and that is continued today with OC Helicopters. He gives us our seat assignments, we strap in and get the tour in the air. Once in the air he points out the landmarks around the area and south of the airport along the coast. Its a cool and different vantage point from the air and I love looking down and seeing life in this perspective. You learn a lot from this and get to see things you may never have see before. Like secluded beaches, caves and arches along the coast. Even on this flight Ric took a small detour, knowing I was a aviation buff, to show us the only house on the OC coast with a legal FAA helipad. For those with a lifestyle that can afford to fly home in their helicopter and park it next to their exotic cars. I was happy with the flight as were the others passengers as well I could assume by the smiles on their faces. I highly recommend OC Helicopters if your in the OC area looking for a fun and exciting way to see the Orange County coast. I did miss seeing the boss MAX, he only works weekends. :-)
Flying in a helicopter has always been on my bucket list and my fiancé got me a ride for my birthday! Capt. Rick was the best pilot/tour guide! I've lived in SoOc all my life and have never seen my home turf from such a vantage point! Even flew over my work! Ricks tour was actually pretty informative along with being very entertaining. Had an amazing flight with OC Helicopters. I requested a sunset flight and captain Rick delivered! Captain Rick did everything to make sure I was comfortable and explained flight procedures in detail. He knew the area well and pointed out a number of famous and unique houses, even caves on the side of oceanfront cliffs. The flight south to Dana Point, inland to San Juan Capistrano and back was nothing short of spectacular! Highly recommended... ask for Captain Rick! read more

This was a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend! And boy was he surprised! I bought the Groupon deal for 15 minutes over the Newport Beach and it was totally worth it. Views are spectacular! Convenient location near John Wayne airport with free lot parking. It was easy and quick making reservations with Patti via email. The helicopter fits 4 passengers and Rick, the pilot. If you're a couple, you'll be paired up with another party of 2 and may be split up depending on who wants to sit up front with the pilot. Rick was friendly, informative and always put safety first. He does a little photoshoot before you head out with photos in front of and in the helicopter. Perfect momento to remember the experience! read more

Veteran owned and operated!!! This was such a great time. I highly recommend this to anyone wanted to have a good time and see the amazing views that come along with it. As far as the flight goes you won't get a better pilot. Coming from the Air Force and having flown over 100 hrs inside of a Helicopter that means a lot! Enjoy this take your significant other up and enjoy the views, we did and it was fantastic!! Can't wait to take my kids up soon as well!! read more

I had the most incredible time flying with Rick yesterday. OC Helicopters is a very well run, safe and super fun company!! Rick did an outstanding job of safely and expertly piloting the aircraft, pointing out landmarks and keeping us entertained and excited. This was my first time in a helicopter and I highly recommend it, I now want to learn how to fly one! Even after living in Newport for many years we were able to see our coast from a whole new perspective and it blew my mind! I would absolutely fly with this team again!! Today I got a visit from my grandfather and he wanted to do something exciting and I wondered what a 95 year old guy would like to do? Mmm... I thought lets do a helicopter ride. So I called OC Helicopters. Rick was a very nice guy, a great pilot and he knew how to make it fun. I could see it on grandpa's face that he was having a blast!
