We spent close to 50k on solar panels. Our inverter went out late August. They sent out a tech to try to fix it several times. The fix would last a few days then fail. We were finally approved for a new inverter. We had to wait for the warranty to be approved then the unit to be delivered then for it to be installed. We lost the ability to generate energy on and off until last week. (Aug-Nov) When I asked to be compensated for the loss of the ability to generate power due to faulty equipment I was told that the company would look into it and ask management. I was contacted today that $69.00 is all that was approved. So from late August to the end of November we were not generating power from the panels consistently. We were patient waiting for a fix and to be told $69 is disappointing today the least. Please be careful when considering to do business with this company. I understand needing to take time to fix an issue but not to help the customer with the loss of solar for over three months isn't how you take care of customers. I wouldn't recommend them.

Our HVAC system completely died in 2024. We were using AC window units and floor heaters, because we did not think we could afford a new system...until Bob's! I used co-pilot to get the top 10 rated HVAC companies in the Vegas Valley and Bob's was ranked #1. I called and spoke to Alexis, who was so warm & patient, getting us scheduled with Adan the next day for a quote. Adan was SO incredibly through & HONEST. After looking over what we needed he gave us a quote that was literally half what we expected *including a year of service as well!! We were able to finance through a partnership that Bob's has with Wells Fargo, for only $155 a month with great rates! We were scheduled the following Monday for installation. The installation team of Francis, Darwin & Jathan showed up on time and went straight to work. Our home was built in 1962 and has old funky everything honestly. I had a real concern about the new equipment fitting without a ton of expensive retrofitting. Well, the entire job was completely done within 6 hours and without a single hitch! Francis did an amazing job, magically fitting the new Trane Air Handler, where the old one was, with literally inches to spare! Jathan was able to also fit our new water heater into the small, tiny outbuilding miraculously as well! Darwin did such a meticulous job getting the HVAC unit installed outside perfectly with all the lines placed neatly and wrapped for UV protection! He assured me he was not pushy. He gave me a total price for the windows and door. After telling him 4 times I wanted time to think about the windows, he refused to take no for an answer. He called his boss, Hugo, who came right over. They offered me financing and we tried for 20 minutes to get my application to go through. I said I would look for my own funding and get back with them, but they still wouldn't give up. By now they had been at my house for three hours and I was tired and just wanted them to leave. I agreed to sign a contract for half the windows just to get them out of my house. The next day I cancelled my contract. That afternoon Nate showed up at my door wanting to know why I cancelled. I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my earlier review. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.
