Title: Customer-Focused, Knowledgeable, and Truly Committed - Sol-Up Delivers! After an exhausting experience with a nationwide solar provider--quickly realizing they were simply too big to care--I decided to move three rooftop solar projects to Sol-Up. From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed. read more

I originally left a negative review because of my experience with Destiny Garcia in the sales department. My concern was never with Sol-Up as a company it was with how I felt I was treated during our interactions. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve. read more

I had Sol-Up install 44 panels about 3 years ago, and forgot to give a review. The installation went ok, with the exception that they basically stole all the roof tiles that they removed to install the panels. I called and asked where they all went (I saw them loading them into trucks on Ring video) and the rep said they were all broken, they were not. They also broke a few tiles on the garage, but repaired them. I have had a couple issues with the panels since, and they have been responsive, although it may take a few days. Overall, a pretty good solar company. read more

When my system was installed about 18 months ago the installation went well. You can always tell the truth of a company based on what happens "after" the sale. We spent close to 50k on solar panels. Our inverter went out late August. They sent out a tech to try to fix it several times. The fix would last a few days then fail. We were finally approved for a new inverter. We had to wait for the warranty to be approved then the unit to be delivered then for it to be installed. We lost the ability to generate energy on and off until last week. (Aug-Nov) When I asked to be compensated for the loss of the ability to generate power due to faulty equipment I was told that the company would look into it and ask management. I was contacted today that $69.00 is all that was approved. So from late August to the end of November we were not generating power from the panels consistently. We were patient waiting for a fix and to be told $69 is disappointing today the least. Please be careful when considering to do business with this company. I understand needing to take time to fix an issue but not to help the customer with the loss of solar for over three months isn't how you take care of customers. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

STEER Away from this company. You can always tell what kind of company your dealing with when things go wrong... install started off bad with installers dropping tools through my patio shade ... installers also left tools on my roof then decided days later it was OK to climb up on my roof with no notice, not even a knock on the door to get thw tools while my kid was home by herself. Payed 10s of thousands for a system and here I am 2 years later getting a nve bill. I check and there are a number of days that are showing minimal generation. We're talking under 10 kwh during what should be some of the most productive times with panels on the front and back of home. I submit a ticket and get.. Hello, We don't recommend homeowners monitor their systems through NVE, as that platform only displays energy credits--not actual production data. Your home is designed to use the power as it's being produced, and any excess energy is sent to NVE as a credit. We recommend monitoring your system through the provided application for the most accurate production information- in your case your app is Mysolaredge. After reviewing your system, everything is operating as designed. Thank you, Avery Wozniak | Support In less than 14 hrs. No details. No call. No explanation. I reached out to multiple solar companies for a quote on March 19th, explaining that I was price comparing to Ion Solar. I received an initial response from Destiny the next morning (3/20), which was great. They asked questions to be able to build a quote which I answered right away. She then said that they have a showroom and I asked the hours it was open. I did not commit to any appointment at the showroom. She followed up with me again in the afternoon on Friday, but I was unpacking so I didn't respond. I assumed since I answered all the questions that she would email me the quote. I didn't hear anything back so I went forward with Ion Solar (for multiple reasons, primarily pricing and equipment). I received a call from Destiny yesterday (3/27) asking if I'd like to come in and review the quote. I explained that since I hadn't heard back from her I already moved forward with Ion, she thanked me and that was that. Or so I thought. She then told me that her manager wanted to earn my business and be reached out. See screenshots. This manager is condescending as hell. read more

I purchased a solar and battery system from Sol-up 4 years ago. My house has 2 AC units. The company set up my system so that my upper floor AC unit would be run by the system in case of a power outage. 6 days ago, in the middle of summer, my AC unit stopped working. I called an HVAC company to fix the issue. They told me that the AC unit was still quite new and in perfect condition, but it was not working only because it wasn't receiving power. They were not wiling to touch the wiring because it was set up by Solup, they asked that I call the company to take care of it through its warranty. That same morning on Saturday, I called Solup. I let them know the issue and that the temperature was triple digits and dangerous to my family. They said there was nothing they could do on the weekend. To submit a ticket. I submitted a ticket and I paid a hotel room. On Monday morning, realizing that they weren't reaching out to me right away I called them again. Though I let them know it was urgent as the temperatures are hovering around 110 degrees and dangerous, they told me no one could come out until Wednesday. On Wednesday, the tech came out and told me that Solup set up the breaker at 40 amps, even though the junction box and AC unit are both only 30 amps and that this may have contributed to the issue of wires burning out and not providing power. The person on the phone said Solup was not responsible. I asked that they sent me the line diagrams and, as the tech took footage of everything he did at my home, I asked for a copy of the footage. The person on the phone said he would get it to me the following day. I stressed that this was a dangerous situation for my family with triple digit heat and to please send it the same day. He only sent a copy of my warranty page, and did not send the tech's footage, thereby delaying a solution by another day. This morning I have spent an hour calling the warranty service department about a dozen times and always being sent directly to voicemail. I finally found another number and that person got them to answer. I told him he never sent me the footage as I requested in the email and asked for it again. He told me he would get it to me "by end of day". Which will delay a resolution by st least an additional day. Because they will not get me the information I need in a timely manner, I am unable to resolve this by hiring an electrician on my own without risking my warranty on a system worth tens of thousands of dollars. They were very quick and efficient when it came to getting cash from me. Now they are incredibly slow to respond and to help me. Sol-up has shown a callous disregard to my issue and to my family's well being by slow walking their responses during the middle of a dangerously hot Vegas summer. Thank god I am able to throw away hundreds of dollars in hotels to keep us safe. Think of my situation when you're deciding whether you spend thousands and being stuck in a relationship with them. read more

My husband and I have done a lot of research on solar companies in Las Vegas. We finally decided to stop by Sol-Up's on-site location near Dean Martin and the Flamingo/I15 exit. We had scheduled an appointment for 5:30 P.M. on a Thursday, but arrived slightly earlier around 5:00 P.M! The team member at the front welcomed us and checked us in. We were then provided a tour of Sol-Up. We got to see a variety of their solar panels and how it would be placed on the roof. During the tour, we also got a chance to see all of the plugin electric capabilities that Sol-Up offered and even some of the electric bikes! It was pretty cool! After the tour, we sat down with the sales representative to go over the NV energy analysis and the type of panels Sol-up offered. We were there on-site for a few hours, going through all of the different options and technologies! From there, we scheduled a site-visit assessment at our house to take a look at the roof and confirm if the solar panel layout, initially discussed, would work. The team member who came out to our house was fantastic! He let us know that the initial design wouldn't work but provided a recommendation with changing some of the panel locations or potentially even different panel sizes! We had such a wonderful experience with Sol-Up! Sol-Up is one of the longest operating solar companies in Las Vegas, and Sol-Up also operates in California! I highly recommend this company if you're looking at solar options! read more

Went to an aviators game and met a rep, went to the office and decided we wanted to get more panels. The guy never called us back, no emails, no nothing. Just vanished! I guess it's a good thing, the probably treat other customers like that after the sale so I guess we should consider ourselves lucky. But if you want solar panels don't call them! read more

So we decided to get solar, and so that was one of the companies received information for. We had a consultation with the awesome Antonija, who answered all of our questions, review panel information, Car charger info, the works. They have a great office team and even showed us the exact panels we'd receive and how they would look on our roof in their extensive showroom. The install was just as great when I say the electrical team descended on my house, that's what I mean. They were super neat super fast and the install took one day. They are great with questions, follow up issues and setting appointments and keeping them. All of their installers were professional, and the cleanup and painting were great as well. If you are doing solar, I would definitely recommend Sol Up read more

We were looking to add solar. My husband researched several companies. He liked the technology and that these solar panels were made in Germany. We got 28 panels and financed it through their in-house financing. I can't say enough about this company. Out house all year is at 70 degrees and out electric bill is about $19.00 every month. read more

We been considering solar for a few years and finally pull the trigger. We spoke to Solup multiple times over the past few year and they have always been polite and helpful. Never pressured us for anything. If you are thinking about it they would be a good company to talk to. we got everything approved within a month. The installation and communication has been good. Very clear and Emmanuel Salcido came over to explain how the system worked. What to look out for and how to troubleshoot. He was super nice and clearly explained everything and answered all out questions. A very nice young man. read more

Sol up did not install my system. OK so I was prepared for charges but HOLY CRAP 250.00 for diagnostics, and 700 to purchase a service agreement. This is in addition to a parts and labor charge!!!!!!!! I know the EXACT panel to be replaced. I expected a 250 service call and maybe a 500.00 panel IF it was the panel and NOT the wiring. I was willing to incur those REASONABLE charges but NOT a charge close to 2 THOUSAND dollars to replace ONE panel. Highway robbery!!!!!! read more

The only person in the company who consistently helped me from start to finish was the sales representative. The company has serious communication issues -- throughout every phase of the project, I had to reach out to the sales representative and ask her to follow up with the project manager or other staff on my behalf. They often ignored emails, and their customer service was extremely poor. read more

5 stars from the beginning from when they first open the door to the finished product. They took care of everything for us and made it as stress-free for us. Our sales person, Antonija, she is an amazing to work with. She gave us a tour of the facility, after each department we went through she asked if there were any questions/concerns before moving to the department. She told us how their system works, how the engineers work, etc. After doing the tour, she broke down everything for us and what would be the best product for us and how much usage will be used. She answered all the questions and was very patience with us as this was another big purchase for my family. She helped us get a good deal and wasn't pushy which is a plus. Now for the engineers and installation, the group was amazing. Finished on a timely manner and they cleaned up any mess that was made. They even came back out to make sure they can put the cover back on for the EV charging port as it wasn't available. For the support team, they followed up with everything and kept us updated. Once everything was up and running, everything passed through with the energy company, Emmanuel came out and gave us a walkthrough on how the solar works, how the app works, how the energy will work. Amazing job from everyone. I would recommend this company to anyone who is interested in getting solar. read more

2+ yrs in with Sol-Up. Initial salesperson was fine, completely non communicative after the purchase. I never heard from or saw them again. If your home is of any age expect additional roof repairs on top of your quotes not disclosed. Install was smooth minus electrician not tightening a main line. Browned out house in the first week, no damages. The production I was told my solar would produce I have not seen made in two years. Underproducing, but all Sol-Up can tell me is there are no guarantees on production. I suppose then they can tell you anything they want for production and never deliver the numbers shown. Feels a little shady, kind of bummed as I paid a premium to go with them. I would rate them average 2 years in. read more

Sol-up installers and install process was great. It is EVERYTHING else which is horrible, sales, support, and financing. I requested a HUB inverter as I wanted the option to easily expand the system to include a battery in the future, but the main reason I wanted the HUB inverter was for the ability to track how much energy output I was sending to the electric company and at what times I was sending. I wanted a method to audit the electric company, and not just depend on what they tell me I am sending them. I wanted a way to audit the energy I am getting credit outside of the power company's equipment. I made that specifically clear to sales and they stated I would be charged an additional cost for this, which I agreed. I looked at the model numbers and they matched, but come to find out they do not include the last 3 digits on the model numbers on the paper work and I did not find out I did not get the proper system installed until the final walk through of the equipment after installation. I told them that the equipment they installed was incorrect, and that I just had to buy new equipment to replace the incorrect equipment. Of course, their lawyer stepped in and pointed out in the fine print that any equipment can be swapped out depending on availability. Now, I understand why that clause is in the contract, by that clause should not be cited when they clearly did not try to purchase or installed the requested equipment. I have found the Sol-up support to be horrible and very costly!!! They will over charge you if they have to touch the system at all. I also have found that Solar installers are way over charging on equipment cost and installation. Not to mention the fact that they all want to steer the customers away from using batteries, but if you do have batteries installed then you can optimize the power company credits by selling power back to the grid when you get the highest amount of credit as opposed to just during the daytime hours of production. Basically, Solar systems without batteries just subsidize the power company's ability to provide more power to other customers during the day without having to produce that power. To add insult to injury that is when the power company charges the most for power and least amount for credit. Do not use the Sol-up finance company as they are horrible to work with when it comes to re-financing or even just increasing an existing home equity loan. The company is so bad I just paid it off! Steer clear of using Sol-up if you want anything custom, they just want to install what they install period and anything outside of that they use loop holes to not fulfill the requests even though they state it will be no problem during the sales process. I gave them multiple opportunities to make this right, and I would even split the cost of the mistake with them, but they wanted me to eat the entire cost and charge me for a new upgraded inverted that I requested and full installation cost. I also offered to purchase a battery if they would just swap out the inverter, but they refused and just hid behind the equipment delivery loop hole. read more

Although our initial experience with this company was positive, once the installation was completed, when we raised a concern we were not listened to. We had to send them examples of other installations in our area that were done more professionally than what they had left us with. Instead of trying to listen to us and work with us, the service representative just tried to convince us that the install was done to industry and their company standard. This is contrary to the install that they did on our neighbors house. The service representative even went as far as saying that what I was asking for was a Tesla patented product, which I researched and this is simply not true. In fact, just today, another company did an install across the street from us and it is far more professional looking and make ours look like an amatuer did it. When Sol-Up finally agreed to send a technician out after we submitted numerous examples of better installations, the technician only begrudgingly attempted to fix the issue. Since then I have tried to follow up with them but have not received any response besides we'll get back to you. It is very difficult to try and obtain contact information for anyone in upper management. Needless to say, I will not be referring any of my neighbors or friends to this company for their solar needs. Be careful if you decide to use this company for your solar system. read more

Everything was great - love the panels, the low bills. TILL the pigeons discovered how easy it was to go under the wire that was used to keep them out. I recommended a neighbor, who bought from Sol-up. She got a better installation of the panels. So she will never have problems with pigeons. Sol-up took care of getting rid of them under the panels. Paid the team they sent out extra to put spikes on my chimney. That doesn't take care of the problem. Because of the poor panel installation initially, I now have a serious pigeon problem. For 19 years, the pigeons left my house alone. Sol-up - go ahead and check with my HOA. This pigeon problem was created by you going cheap with the installation the first time. Seriously thinking about taking them to small claims court and going for the maximum amount. Used to work for an attorney. My job was handling small claims, so I know when I have a legit case. read more

Emmanuel is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is reliable and is very respectful. I highly recommend him.

I was so weary of Solar for years because it seemed like an industry full of scammers that were looking to turn a dollar and provided arbitrary pricing. When we were finally ready we called Sol Up based on a neighbors good experience. We couldn't have been more pleased at the entire experience. Our salesman Michael was a very straight shooter and gave us great advice on the right system for our needs. Krys our project manager was available at all hours of the day to make sure we were taken care of... the crew was extraordinarily conscientious and did a very clean installation. Dennis the electrician who hooked everything up was super accommodating considering some poor service from NV Energy (not showing up for appt). This company is good with initial process of selling their product like used car sales man doing whatever they can to get you to buy their product but when it comes to ethical and moral responsibility when issues arises down the line they'll do whatever it takes to make more money off of the problems they ignored and created the first place, my issue with sol-up came after I had a few water leaks around the solar panels they installed witch the roofer they work with said is from underlayment of the roof and they should not have installed the panels and it was inspected by their inspector before the installation, I would like for them to remove the panels so I can replace the underlayment but they wouldn't do it unless I pay for it I was told they are not roofer they are not responsible for issues arises later, they will get you in a trap so they can make more money there's absolutely no moral obligation when it comes to taking care of their responsibility. I had awful experience and I want everyone that read my review please do your own due diligence before signing a contract with sol-up it has been nothing but nightmare for me dealing with this company. read more

I went looking for solar options after seeing my summer bill, been through 3/4 different companies with incentives that sounded so well! I ended up with Sol up through referral/ reviews/ Panasonic panels.. Process was smooth from the beginning to the end, my sales consultant was Grant Lipus.. Came over and explained in detail.. Did not push me to buy at all.. I was already contracted with Vivint at the time and upon speaking to Grant, I immediately canceled my contract.. Reason why I canceled is because the solar panels where a lot more reasonable in pricing, Panasonic is made in Japan (Japan product) usually last longer than any others and everything is done in house.. From sales all the way to installing and QA.. Other companies whom I've called and got quotes from did hire third party installers which to me was a big thing when it comes to a big investment.. Sol up took care of my HOA papers, submission of Net Metering and much more... Sol up notified me that it will take at least 20 business days from submission to Power Live.. I didn't believe them at first because my other friends who went with other companies took over 2 months.. LOL... I'm like okay Sol up could just be saying this.. But I got the results.. Email sent 10/22 for net metering submission.. NV energy came over 11/15 and gave the OK.. I quickly notified my friends that their guys messed up lol.. Thank you Sol up and Grant/ Autum/Sunny/Victoria/Monica/Lauren and I might be forgetting someone lol Here is where Panasonic Panels Rank: https://news.energysage.com/best-solar-panels-complete-ranking/ Save your self a dime, remove the incentives from other companies because you have to look at the over all of what the company offers. Sol-up doesn't rely on incentives to get your buy in, they know what they are worth. I'm reviewing this without any compensation, monetary promise.. And solely truthful with what I have said.. Solar is a big investment.. One great thing that I've also learned, Sol up can transfer Solar to your new house with a small fee of $149 plus Labor fee.. Bank I got with Sol- up can also transfer payment to new owners.. It does vary per Bank so make sure you ask the question before signing the contract... Also tell Grant Lipus I sent you.. good guy!!! Just seeing the two 1 one stars above me didn't make sense at all.. I had 0 Issues, I called them when in doubt.. They answered my question within reason.. read more

I wanted to write an update now that we have had the system for just under a year. It is amazing! We now have no electric bill other than the $19 NV energy fee. Our AC has been running non stop all summer, in the hottest summer on record. It took a few months to build up the credits but now we no longer have a power bill. I have been asked to provide a recap as to my experience with SolUp. from the initial meet and greet with Bob, who had discuss with me the options available with owning my own solar system. I have been impressed from the beginning because the detail that was provided and the ability to finance in different ways that are advantageous to the customer. The system I picked out was definitely a plus to include the Tesla battery which allows me to produce at 100% of my daily usage. With that being said we must understand that we need constant sunlight during the day to ensure we maintain the value. One of the things that I have mentioned before with SolUp is that as a consumer, we must be given the information in regards to panel placement, which means how it will look on your roof, symmetry, if desired, and energy output that will be produced to include obstruction of vent pipe. For my installation and follow up since then, SolUp has been exceptional on their commitment to ensure that we as the customers are fully satisfied. The app that is used to measure your system called solar edge is fairly decent. In addition to this app, I also have a tesla battery that is tied in with The solar panels and allows me to see how well my panels are producing. Between the two I am able to better manage my expectations on total output. I have no regrets or remorse from having this installed, and I'm quite happy with the outcome that it has produced. You may take the time to check out three or four different companies, but ultimately in my case I ended up going with SolUp due to its viability, Financial structure in regards to pricing, and its concierge/customer service representative that assist you with all matters to include HOA, approvals, permits, and statuses towards installation. Good luck to all, but definitely check out SolUp. read more

After reading the reply from your company, I stand by what I said. Unfortunately, your reply had nothing at all to do with my experience. According to the gentleman that I talked to, I needed to cancel because the company I was going with was lying to me about the panels they were going to use. I also received a letter of apology from your company to my email saying they understood why I decided to go with a different company after reviewing what was said to me. Your explanation has nothing to do with panels and I was never charged any "deposit". read more

Not a word about the gift card and Grant knew nothing of it. He said he would ask when he got back to the office. When Grant sent the solar proposal to me I asked again about the gift card and he said he would get back to me. Hearing no response I called Cassidy and she said the gift card was only available to people that went to the show room. That is not what I was told! Feeling this is a scam. The follow up is that they guarantee nothing. If your engineers are unqualified to accurately estimate how well the system will work then why do you give the estimates and tell people how much it covers. I'm extremely disappointed to see the bill this month. Terrible read more

5-star rating for a reason! I was very impressed with their customer service 95% of the time. Most of their staff were great except the lady who does the HOA paperwork, according to her, she doesn't do the HOA paperwork. I was promised by their salesman Michael that Sol-up will take care of all the paperwork. Anyway, it is not a big deal that we did our HOA paperwork ourselves. It's just the principal! My solar finally turned on today. When the Sol-up found out the connection has problems on their end, they immediately send a very nice technician to my house and fixed the issue right away. He also bought us a gift as an apology. I was very impressed! Their service recovery was excellent! I would still recommend them, because I know I am in good hands. Thank you! read more

Richard Smith at Solup made our entire solar journey an amazing experience. Solup was very straight forward and helpful throughout the entire process. We needed to install a new roof to get our solar panels installed. He was very helpful coordinating with our roofer of choice and getting our system sized to our needs. Thanks again Rich. read more
