My solar system was installed by LA Solar Group over 6 years ago, so I thought it would be nice to provide new customers with a look ahead after investing in a costly project. My 7.54kW system used 29 - 260W LG panels split into 2 arrays and utilized both M215 and M250 Enphase microinverters. The reason I wanted to try 2 different microinverters was to compare the performance. In the end, it really didn't matter much. Bottom line, shading and weather were the dominate factors in power generation and all the crazy details I looked at were in the noise. It was still fun at the time. So 6+ years after having this system installed on my roof, I have had ZERO problems (kudos to LA Solar Group and the quality of the hardware). My system has produced over 72 MegaWatt-Hours of power and each and every solar panel and microinverter has reported data (input voltage/current, output voltgae/frequency, and power) from day one over that period of time. This telemetry allows me to see exactly what's going on in my system and if any one of the 29 panel/microinverters acts up, I will know. My system has already paid for itself based on my calculations, so I am a very happy customer. In addition, when I have questions for the LA Solar team, I still get answers. Highly recommended. The 6.8 KW (peak) solar system that these folks installed for me really rocks! So if you are planning to install a solar system, look no further and hire this company. I say this because I did my homework right and had obtained over six estimates, and this company beat all the other five not only on price and quality, but also on other (rather important) things as you can see below. 1. Price: This company beat all the others by nearly 20%, and all the other five estimates came very close to one another to the point where I was suspecting that there is some sort of illegal "price fixing" that is rampant industry-wide, but not for this company since it came far away (and below) all the others. 2. Equipment Quality: The system they installed was the most advanced compared to all the other bids. It used higher-end Panasonic panels, and Enphase micro-inverters and combiner. Others bid for lesser-quality no-name panels with one string inverter and a set of optimizers. After much research, I think a micro-inverter based system is superior to the string-inverter based system (so don't listen to the confusing information you find on the web, which portrays the two types of systems as being "equivalent"). So with a total of just 20 panels, my projected annual solar energy production should be about one and a half times my consumption. This should bring down my PG&E bill to the minimum $10/month, and should be able to provide all the electric energy needed for an extra electric car I may purchase in the future. 3. System design: This company had the most precise and realistic design, and that is very important because some of the bids I received were not realistic as they sketched more panels on my South-facing side of the roof than that side could possibly fit. This inflates the projected energy production, but is NOT realistic. In my case, the optimal design was to use the Southern-facing and Eastern-facing sides of the roof and to arrange the panels 50/50 on both sides. This company nailed the design right, but other bids like I said was either plain wrong, or were not realistic. With this design I was able to get a peak production of 6.2 KW, which is close to the theoretical 6.8 KW peak (the difference being mostly due to the orientation of my house). 4. Consumption and Net Monitoring: Most contractors let you monitor ONLY the energy production of your solar system, but this company gave me the ability to monitor the CONSUMPTION of energy by my house and the net energy exchanged between me and utility company on an instantaneous basis (actually every 15 minutes) and on the same Enlighten App as shown in the picture. This is really useful if you would like to do any energy planning in your house to see who/what is really consuming electricity. Granted that you can see the consumption on your utility website, but that data is one or two days delayed and does not show up in the same view as the production, and these two problems make the data from the utility company useless for that purpose. 5. Other: All the folks of the company I have dealt with are ethical in their dealing and are reasonable. The company installed the system in two days, which is very quick. Getting the consumption monitoring to work correctly took a while longer though. read more

He understands customer service and made sure they moved schedules around to get my install completed and functioning. As of right now it is definitely producing. Will report back in the middle of Summer when our solar radiation is at the highest in order to see if I am getting close to the 9.9kW the system is supposed to be. We signed with LA Solar in November of 2024. The system was put in promptly, but from there it has been nothing but problems. We have got rejection after rejection from Nevada Power. Some of the reasons were that LA Solars plans were not in order, they weren't stamped appropriately, they didn't know where to tell us to leave the plans for the inspector. I would follow up with emails to Nevada Power and it was obvious that they didn't understand what Nevada Power wanted from them. Isn't that their job to know? It is now 6 months later and still we are facing another rejection from Nevada Power. Today it is the system itself that hasn't passed the final inspection. Angela M. was supposed to send a technician out today, but when I emailed her to follow up with the time, she informed me that no one would be in my area until Friday or Saturday. Obviously we are an after thought to this company. When I call, no one knows what is going on. This has been and continues to be an ongoing nightmare. read more

I am in the process of putting in solar and am on a budget. My dream was to also add battery backup. I saw an add for battery and contacted Nevada Solar Group. Mr. Denis Avdic called me back. I asked about the price and he told me over the phone. I explained that this was not in my budget. He then gave me information I needed about my project. His company is not getting a penny from me but he spent over an hour helping me understand things and making recommendations. Then he sent me several texts asking if I had any other questions and offering me help. How unusual for a company to care this way for their fellow man even though they get nothing in return. Mr. Avdic had explained to me that he has a Phd in Engineering and that he loves his work. I believe he actually enjoyed working with me. Would not recommend Nv. / La. Solar Group !! Sales pitch is extremely misleading - what is verbal, is not written in contract. Contract is not what was verbally discussed and agreed to. False advertising !! Advertisement says 1 thing - actuality is totally different. They quickly remove e-mail advertisement so that there is no proof, then they deny what was said by verbal discussion. (A. P. lied and then denies what was said or discussed.) Work is done by inexperienced people (non-professional, unqualified). ALWAYS having to correct / fix mistakes, using sub-contractors (who are unaware of the issues, or weren't involved in the installation process). Installation is unprofessional looking (looks like crap). Customer Service is a joke. They don't have, or do, customer service. Too many issues go unanswered / unresolved. No responsive resolutions. No call backs, total or complete avoidance. Worst company I have ever (40 years in construction trade) dealt with. Unreliable, un-trusting, misleading, a big scam !! read more

We've installed solar on 4 homes using LA Solar. The first was our own about 6 years ago. It worked out so well we recommended and had solar installed on my parent's home and my in- laws. We moved just over a year ago and again used LA Solar on our new home. They have not disappointed yet. And just last week I reached out to get some questions answered and as usual they were super helpful and prompt. We've never had a problem with our solar system and it has been producing as expected. My system was installed less than a year ago. Installed many weeks late, the process was rushed and the company has made no contact with me after the install for debriefing. I was give no instructions on how to monitor the system. I was promised a $500 incentive which I have not received. My NV Energy bills are still almost $300 in addition to the $135 that I pay for the solar monthly. NV energy says that it seems my system is under producing. I have made many, many, many attempts to call every number available for the company, left messages for Robert, Perlas, John, Joshua, and even attempted to call the company owner Ara. Ray my sales guy made sure we had everything included that we wanted or needed for our installation. The installation was done in a very timely matter aside from Main Panel Upgrade snag which is not any fault of NV Solar Group it snagged due to the politics of NV Energy.
