When I called into their office to request a repair estimate, they were able to schedule a technician to come out to the house a week later! George had arrived on time for the appointment! He went through the entire process with us as far as the current roofing condition. George let us know that there were a variety of tiles that were broken, tiles that were slipped or moved, paper that needed to be replaced, and fixes that needed to occur near our new AC unit. He did recommend a full reroof though if we were going to get new Solar Panels. George informed us if we were going to get Solar Panels, leaving the roof as is, that we would need to get the Solar Panels removed in a few years to replace some of the roofing, which would be higher cost! I would not recommend this company, they are terribly unreliable. The man they sent to do the inspection on my roof could not answer any roofing questions; when I called the office to get some information about the quote that was sent to me, the man who answered the phone knew nothing about roofing. A few days later, the owner's son Jesse called and asked what I thought of their estimate. I told him there was a disconnect between what the inspector said and what the estimate included. We discussed all the relevant points, Jesse went over them step-by-step and he said that he really wanted more information and would come by to do another inspection. We also discussed, because of the age of my roof, that perhaps it would need to be replaced. He promised to give me a new estimate within 24 hours. I told him that I would give the new estimate consideration and yet almost 5 days later I haven't heard a word from him. I called twice and left messages, and got no response. None of the other roofers was able to catch this even when I pointed out the water damage (others couldnt connect it to the satellite). - he was able to tell what is up to code and not. Then explain what really matters or not/what he would do for his own house or skip on. - he's able to gauge our situation, and suggest something that suits us. Example is our garage doesn't have ceiling vent, but has floor vents. But in reality, we aren't living in our garage, and he wouldn't spend so much to change it. Hired them to check out my roof for any damage. They showed up took pictures and went over them with me. We had cracked tiles, cracked sealant around all vents, and some tiles that were slipping out of position. These factors could all cause leaks. Needed some work in Boulder City and specifically asked if they serviced my area. Yep no problem .Booked an appointment 2 weeks out with the understanding it was for an estimate. Several days later they apparently had a change of heart and pushed back my appointment date ... oh and by the way it will now be $250.00 for the estimate. I then ask what is the cost to inspect a residence in Henderson? No charge. So it went from nothing initially to $250.00 to go the extra perhaps 5 miles over the hill? Assuming I grab the bait and commit to the ridiculous surprise fee, what's to stop them from the the next excessive upcharge because they don't like where I live. I used this company in 2023. Jeremie is the owner and he friendly and professional. He came out within 24 hours after I contacted him and walked my entire roof, took pictures, and gave me an estimate for repairs. The crew came out the next day and they did a great job and took pictures of the completed work. They replaced 2 missing T-top vents, repaired/replaced approximately 10 field tiles, sealed ridge joints and painted to match as close as possible and sealed pipe penetrations as needed. We discovered a leak in our den above the window. I did try to identify it but was unsuccessful as it only leaked during heavy rain and only if the wind was blowing in a certain direction. Our home warranty company could not find a local roofing company so they allowed us to choose the contractor. We were referred to Jeremie, A Step Above Roofing, through our realtor/friend. Jeremy came out and performed a thorough inspection of the entire roof. He had a very good idea as to where the water was coming in, and explained in great detail the probable cause. During the roof inspection he also discovered, and took photos of, approximately 31 tiles that were cracked, broken, or dislodged, more than likely caused by our solar panel installation. After approval from our home warranty company we scheduled the repairs which took approximately 2 to 3 hours. The team of technicians were very professional, courteous, took additional photos, and also explained to me what they had done. No major rainstorms yet, but I am confident the leak has been repaired. Several weeks ago, after being out of town during the heavy rainstorms, I came home and noticed some water damage on the ceiling of my dining room. I called A Step Above because they'd done some work near my fireplace several years earlier. Jeremie came over and inspected the roof. He showed me photos he took and explained my options. He was very patient and sympathetic because my husband recently passed away and I'm a bit overwhelmed by now having to deal with everything by myself. We had a leak and called several roofing companies for bids. A Step Above sent a gentleman to inspect our roof and of all who bid this gentleman's inspection obviously was far more detailed and complete than any of the other bidders. A Step Above Roofing Company's bid was not the lowest but they went into a detailed explanation, we are very knowledgable of home maintenance and do a great deal of it ourselves so this was much appreciated by us. They answered all our questions in full and being retired military, police, and just old they gave us a reduction in their bid. A Step Above Roofing showed up each day they said they would be here and with one exception was here every day working diligently on our roof. Once they got into the job they discovered a couple of other issues and brought them to our attention. We have a large roof and we just didn't want to put out the goodly amount of money it would have cost to entirely redo our existing roof. It ended up we had the rear (most exposure to the sun and facing south) portion of our roof redone paying extra to have a double underlayment installed. They had to replace over 200 broken tiles. On a day they were not scheduled to work here we had a super intense rain. The foreman, who was on site daily, showed up with his crew and spread tarps over our rear roof finishing the last tarp installation in a good amount of rain downfall. They no sooner completed the job than we got an extremely heavy and intense rain but had no leads because of their pro action and installing those tarps. They inspected the roof and then inside our attic, both the foreman and one of his workers, independently but could not locate the leak. Then they came back again and together inspected the attic but again were unable to locate the leak. Once they removed the tile from the roof they quickly discovered the leak and fixed it immediately. Throughout there work on our roof they treated our home with respect, cleaned up at the end as if they had never been here. They were all very polite, courteous, and quick to respond to our requests. The entire company was a very pleasant company to deal with. We would recommend A Step Above Roofing with no reservations and will use them again the next time we have a roofing problem.
