The workmanship looked solid and they left everything neat when they finished. Overall, great experience from start to finish. Both reviewers rated Robco as excellent, 5 of 5. Robco has a Yelp score of 4.7, based on 272 reviews. I was impressed by the enthusiasm any of the positive Robco reviews. We decided to go with Robco Electric, mostly because of their raving online reviews. Robco installs Q Cells panels, manufactured by a Korean company (I don't know if they use parts made in China). Their price was in line with the other installers with just over $24,000 upfront cost, with a net cost of just over $17,000 after the 30% federal tax credit. Our payback period was computed as 7 years, 11 months. I'm not sure we'll be living here long enough to realize the benefit, but supposedly solar panels add about 4% to the selling price of a home. Robco installed our panels just over two years ago, and after installation of the two-way meter and the Nevada Power inspection we were generating electric power and selling our excess back to the grid. Our system is rated at 8075Kwh, so we paid $3.02/Kwh before the tax credit, $2.11/Kwh after the credit. Since Nevada Power has been very aggressive about raising rates, our payback period will be somewhat less than estimated, which is great, I guess. I recently contacted Robco to see how they were doing. Their office manager was optimistic that the the "Big Beautiful Bill" eliminating the credit for solar installations would not destroy their business. He stated that even without the tax credit, solar was still justified in Las Vegas, since we get so much sun.

I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. I called and asked where they all went (I saw them loading them into trucks on Ring video) and the rep said they were all broken, they were not. They also broke a few tiles on the garage, but repaired them. I have had a couple issues with the panels since, and they have been responsive, although it may take a few days. Overall, a pretty good solar company.

    This has been an okay, yet a little disappointing experience with positive resolve in the end…read more Having seen the other reviews on this company, I had higher expectations that things would be customer focused and efficient. I called on a Friday night close to closing time to see if I could schedule with them to get an estimate on some window solar screens. Ben wound up calling me back to let me know he can come by on Monday morning to get me an estimate. He came on time at 9am to get measurements and provided me a quote thereafter. That initial meeting was the only pleasant part of this experience because the communication after I made the half payment was horrid. Ben mentioned that he would be in another country on a trip the following day after the estimate was provided, but let me know that in two weeks the product will be ready and installed. Two weeks passed and I never received any follow up regarding our install. I also never received the digital receipt and invoice I was told I would get for the payment I made so I made sure to keep the text confirmation to him directly along with my payment detail on my end. I followed up with the company and called three times to speak with someone regarding my installation and product. I received no call back all day and called again the day after. This was when two weeks had already passed. I texted them on their business text line thereafter when I received no follow up. I had to text them twice for me to hear back from Juan (JD) who explained that he was in charge of things while Ben was out of the office in Indonesia. When I expressed my frustration with the fact that no one has contacted me regarding the product and installation, he said "do you want me to help you out or not?" That response was incredibly not empathetic because I was expressing my frustration that it took me asking them 5 different times regarding the service to get any feedback. He connected me with Caesar who was the one doing the installation. Caesar contacted me saying that he would be at my house Thursday to do the install. Thursday, he calls me again to say the product will be in after 330pm so he will have to move the installation to Friday. Caesar said he would be at my home by 9am, but no communication at all till after I called and texted after 910am to receive a text from him saying he will be 30 minutes late. Despite the lapse in communication, Caesar and Miguel both made the ending result of this experience better. They were both polite and took their time to make sure everything was aligned. Both of them deserve 5 stars alone. Aside Caesar and Miguel, communication has honestly been quite bad with this company and the way it was handled when I followed up was quite rude and lacked empathy for the frustration. No client should ideally have to contact the company various times to be acknowledged for the job to follow through. Price for everything was fair, I just wished the customer service was better. Currently, still waiting for an invoice record since the company has not provided that after I tried to call again multiple times to make final payment. I know with travel and everything factored that it wasn't all one person's fault for the horrible communication, but the service just wasn't what I expected because Ben seemed to really care when I met him for the initial estimate. I understand delays, but I had to re-explain the project to Juan (JD) and Caesar because Juan (JD) didn't even know who I was and addressed me as another client named Camila. The whole process after initial estimate was a headache because the staff wasn't prepared and had I not called or texted to follow up multiple times, my project would have been even more delayed. Juan made "promises," he didn't intend to keep because Gina from the office line called saying he never intended to send over the invoice today and that Ben would be the one sending over my warranty and invoice info. Not a great impression of the company as a whole and I am still waiting for the invoice and warranty details. In the end, however, I have to say Ben is trustworthy for his product quality and escalation service. He contacted me as soon as he touched down and provided me with what his staff could not. I know things fell in the communication pipeline when he was away, but I appreciated his urgency to fix the issue.

We are having stressful issues with our solar company, Sunstrong (horrible company) who took over sunnova ( who went bankrupt) In fact the meter that connected our panels to NV Energy & Sunstrong wasn't connecting and we've been paying Sunstrong every month for nothing! Long story short...now they have put us in collections for power we never got and still paid every month! Well, Maurice from Converso came the same day I called...told him everything showed him our statements...he then laid out a plan for us to deal with this disgusting situation. Maurice, Mr Wonderful, spent 2 hrs with us explaining "solar panels" to us; fixed the problem and our mess and what to do with it NO CHARGE! Once the project was completed he took a little time to answer some questions surrounding some wiring issues in a couple bedrooms. He gave us an idea of the lift needed to trouble shoot the problem and most likely solution. When we're ready to tackle our next electrical project we will certainly be reaching out to Maurice.

He assured me the $500 deposit was refundable up until they needed to pull permits. I paid the deposit and it was through a different company. What? waited for the inspection and nothing. After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. Was that recorded?? They push you and tell you whatever they can to get that deposit and then Push you for a new roof and if you try to push back, they're gone With your money.
