Argumentative, does not answer simple questions, even asked moments after he texts you. He will argue with you and basically he has made what could have been a very smooth and easy process, a headache. Part of me thinks we should have just thrown in the towel and cancelled but again, the salesman is great and often communicates to questions that the other guy should have gotten to. So I hope it gets better as we are in it now. But make sure to remember this before you actually move forward.

He has over 10 years in the industry and makes a compelling case to be able to push back the economic control of the local utility company. Installers were friendly and courteous also. I cannot say enough good things about Kris at Solar Guys of Nevada…read more I inherited a mess from a solar company that went out of business -- my system was offline, communication wasn't working, and I had no clear path to getting it fixed. It was incredibly frustrating. Kris stepped in and has gone above and beyond to help me untangle everything. He has been to my house multiple times, troubleshot every angle, followed up consistently, and never once made me feel like my situation was "too complicated." He genuinely cares about getting it right. Even when we hit roadblocks, he didn't give up. He kept digging until we had answers and progress. What stands out most is his integrity and persistence. He communicates clearly, shows up when he says he will, and takes real ownership of the outcome. That's rare. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable, responsive, and committed -- especially if you're dealing with an inherited or complicated solar issue-- call Kris. He's building something great with Solar Guys of Nevada, and based on my experience, this is exactly the kind of business you want to support. Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE I wanted…read moreto buy a full system outright. The salesman, Chance, was amazing and walked me through the quote, inspection and was very responsive. He assured me the $500 deposit was refundable up until they needed to pull permits. I paid the deposit and it was through a different company. What? waited for the inspection and nothing. After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. Was that recorded?? They push you and tell you whatever they can to get that deposit and then Push you for a new roof and if you try to push back, they're gone With your money.

I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my earlier review. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

Thank you to Logan for his help and support in getting everything taken care of. Aside from that, I've been extremely happy with my solar system. The panels are still producing just as much as they did from the beginning. I would definitely recommend solar, and my biggest advice would be to round up when deciding how many panels to get--you'll be glad you did.
