This is one of those reviews where (if possible), I'd give Robco Electric more than five stars on…read moretheir Solar installation / service. We did a lot of research before we pulled the trigger on Solar. We did a deep dive on leasing versus purchasing, equipment differences and post installation service. We had actually contracted with a different firm, but after we found out the sales rep misrepresented the equipment they were going to install - we cancelled. After that, we reached-out to two other companies - one of which was Robco. After comparing all of the metrics as well as the reviews, we ended up purchasing a system from Robco. From the presentation and design with Jorge, through the approval process with our HOA, to obtaining permits, they were on top of it all. We initially met with Jorge on May 12th. All approvals were obtained and Mike and his installation crew showed up on May 26th. These guys actually showed up early and worked like a well greased machine. The job was completed by mid afternoon, including the painting of conduit and solar emergency shut-off to match the stucco on my home. They even left me with extra roof tiles in case we needed them in the future. After the installation, the building inspector scheduled time to come by and sign-off on the permit. Of course, there were no problems there. The funny thing was that I can be a bit chatty and in talking to the inspector, he stated in summary that if he were were going to put solar on his personal home - or needed an electrical repair, Robco is the one company he would call. I thought that was quite an endorsement. That last installation piece was for NV Energy to come out and replace the meter with one that can export unused solar energy back out to the grid; that was done on June 18th. From start to finish, Jorge, Mike and all of the guys at Robco exceeded our expectations. We would wholeheartedly recommend them for your Solar (or electrical repair) needs.

She provided lots of information, answered my questions clearly, and made everything feel straightforward instead of overwhelming. Armando and his crew did the installation and they were excellent -- the install was completed in just 2 days, and everything was done in a clean, professional, and organized way. The workmanship looked solid and they left everything neat when they finished. Overall, great experience from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Robco Electric if you're considering solar.

The prices are very fair and the service is excellent. My car works like brand new now . Also, they will let you know if a repair is not necessary. My car would start intermittent. Other times it would not start at all which is very frustrating. I took my car to Bob's and it works like it is supposed to. I can't thank them enough. I have a reliable car again. I tried to post this review on Google, and to respond directly to Bob's before posting a review but…read morethey don't have an easy way to give them feedback. They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

He assured me the $500 deposit was refundable up until they needed to pull permits. I paid the deposit and it was through a different company. What? waited for the inspection and nothing. After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. Was that recorded?? They push you and tell you whatever they can to get that deposit and then Push you for a new roof and if you try to push back, they're gone With your money.

I wanted to post a quick follow-up to my earlier review. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

Title: Customer-Focused, Knowledgeable, and Truly Committed - Sol-Up Delivers!…read moreAfter an exhausting experience with a nationwide solar provider--quickly realizing they were simply too big to care--I decided to move three rooftop solar projects to Sol-Up. From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed.

My concern was never with Sol-Up as a company it was with how I felt I was treated during our interactions. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve.

He determined that a brush block was needed, which had to be ordered, requiring a second visit on 8/14. During the second visit, the brush block was installed, but the generator still surged and shut down under load. We were ultimately told the carburetor was the remaining issue. We were initially billed $1,815.21, including 5.25 hours of labor for the two visits. We have Ring camera footage showing the technician was at our property for approximately 3 hours on the first visit and less than an hour on the second. I questioned the labor charges because I was not aware that travel time was billed or that there was a 1.5-hour minimum. When I asked for an explanation of the billing policy and where those additional labor charges came from, I was immediately offered a discount rather than an explanation. I declined the discount because I wasn't looking for a discount. I wanted the billing explained. After further discussion, 1.25 hours of labor were removed from the invoice, bringing it to $1,589.90, which I paid. What bothered me most was the lack of transparency and how the dispute was handled. After my husband left a review, the owner privately messaged him and accused us of "not giving a hoot to ripping a business off." That was an extremely unprofessional response to a customer who was simply questioning the charges on their invoice. I paid the corrected invoice, but based on this experience, I will not be using Happy Hals again.

Howard "Woody" Carter was not pushy like the other reps, and encouraged us to ask questions before during and after his presentation rather than telling us what he wanted to - as with the others. We came to find out that RaW Solar is local Veteran owned and operated with the "Golden Rule" as their motto. You know- "treat others as you want to be treated".. so we signed and without a dollar out of pocket and a 30 year warranty we are solarized about 3 weeks later! The installers left zero trace of any debris or trash and were also fast and courteous too! Pricing was great ($6.00 more a month than the lowest quote)....quality first as we wished ...they handled everything from city permits to inspections with NV Energy with efficiency and a smile- keeping us in the loop via email every step of the way. We are paying 27% less than we used to!!!! I feel supporting a smaller family business where we are able this day and age is great as well. Oh! USA made components to boot! Kudos Woody and everyone at RaW Solar! Simply well done. The wife and I will always refer everyone we can to you.
