They tried to convince him that 18% interest was normal for a first car. I told them they're crazy and advised my brother to leave that place. When they saw we were leaving they lowered it to 7% which is probably what the bank actually approved. If they started with that 7% we would have bought the car, but because they tried that bullshit, we left immediately. Dodged a bullet there! After many weeks of searching for an suv, I came across Sunrise Ford. I called and scheduled a test drive, came in to see the vehicle, was helped by Jose Vega, agreed on the price and terms and signed within 30 minutes. Our salesperson, Jose V. is very knowledgable about the vehicles on their lot (which is a huge lot by the way) and he did not make us feel rushed or obligated to purchase. Matter of fact, after having dealt with many shady salespeople and dealerships, we came in ready for the worst! Jose picked up on that and asked if there was something wrong, sorry Jose! . He made our purchase very easy and hassle-free. We left that same day with a 2020 Explorer and peace of mind, knowing we made a great deal. When it's time for an upgrade, we will definitely be back! Think twice before doing business with this dealership. My experience was extremely disappointing and felt completely dishonest. I sold my car to them, and their manager promised that my check would be mailed out the same afternoon. Instead, they kept delaying the payment with different excuses and repeatedly asked me to provide additional documents and proof. The following week, the manager told me that they had made a mistake on the contract and asked me to come back to sign everything again. After that, I was told I would have to wait another 3-4 days before receiving my check. Because of these delays, my personal plans and even my flight were seriously affected, causing me significant inconvenience and financial loss. When I explained this to the manager, instead of taking responsibility, he told me that he had also "lost a lot of time and effort as a businessman," even though none of those issues were caused by me. To make matters worse, he then claimed that my attitude was unacceptable and decided to cancel the transaction altogether. I had already driven over an hour each way to this dealership multiple times because of their mistakes. My advice: stay away from this dealership. If a business cannot honor its promises, handle paperwork correctly, or treat customers with respect, it doesn't deserve your trust. read more

October 2025: [[HIGHLIGHT]]I recently bought a 2022 Toyota from the dealership... very nice young salesman, very helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We saw the vehicle online... cars.com... came in just to test drive (and purchase) the car. Easy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Already pre-approved by USAA for the loan at 8.5%. This is where the problem started... Naturally, they came at us with a higher rate to start... I told them we were pre-approved at 5.5%, after waiting us out for another 2 hours... back and forth etc, they then agreed to match it, and then we waited for "The Finance Guy." So we're at roughly 4 hours at this point... the good 'ol wear-em-down strategy. Toward the end of this financial root canal they added on a crooked revenue stream they employ whereby they install dealer add-ons that "can't" be removed... Roughly 2k for LoJack and 'edge guards' (plastic guards on the doors front/back). Here's the best part... I FINALLY got the paperwork from their sketchy third-party credit union, and the interest rate wasn't what I had been promised. 5.5% was the promised/matched rate, and I found out today, while preparing to refi the thing with my bank, that they currently have it at 5.890%. UPDATE 7.15.26 I recently had my first service on my vehicle mentioned above, only to find out that the dealer didn't include the lug nut key. So, my complete service couldn't be completed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So I began calling, texting/chatting, and emailing. As before, again, no one returned any of my attempts to rectify the situation. It's on them to provide my key and send it to me. I wanted to get a used mach E before the EV rebate expired and had been looking in the bay area for a month or 2 and wasn't finding the exact vehicle I was looking for. I expanded the search and found a 2021 GT at Sunrise Ford that was perfect. I called in and spoke to David who confirmed with his manager that they'd work on me with the price to make sure it qualified for the rebate. David took extra pictures, answered all my extra weird questions since I was coming in from so far away. I called the night before I flew in and Nienie was able to confirm it was still there and that she'd be there in the morning. I was a little nervous flying so far, sight unseen, and planning to drive it on a long trip back. I arrived before they opened and Nienie showed up early to make sure I got a head start so I could start driving the car back to the bay ASAP. Nienie was great, assured me that the car was there and immediately got the purchasing processes started so it could move along while we took a look at the car. She took me through all the car features, as a car person I was impressed with what she knew, I'd been to about 10 other dealers in the bay hunting down the correct car and she was probably the best informed sales person out of them all. The test drive was smooth and the car looked great just like the pictures. The entire sales process did take longer then I'd like but that's just how dealerships are. It's not a private sale where you just hand them money and walk away with the keys. When it came down to the numbers they stuck to their word and the finance director Jose had all the paperwork with the correct price and also was able to lower my interest rate by a bit. He even got the 4k rebate applied to the total right then which was unexpected. I didn't experience the "classic" dealership issues at Sunrise Ford. I didn't feel pressured, they didn't try to bait and switch me, and Nienie made sure I felt supported and up to date throughout the entire process. No problems with the car, the 450 mile drive home was a breeze. I'm very happy with my purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to do it all again. read more

I am absolutely disgusted with the level of care and professionalism displayed by this service department. On my first visit, technicians managed to spray hinge lubricant all over my vehicle's interior, leaving a mess that should never have happened in a professional shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rather than focusing on correcting their mistake, I was repeatedly pressured and harassed to leave a 5-star survey after they offered a complimentary service as compensation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, I made the mistake of giving them a second chance when another recall was issued on my vehicle. That decision was quickly regretted. After performing what they called a "detail," my vehicle was returned with tire dressing splattered all over the sides. Worse yet, they scratched my tailgate and left multiple paint defects and marring throughout the vehicle. The interior was equally unacceptable. It looked as though someone had taken a large paintbrush and slathered protectant over every surface without any attention to detail. To top it off, socket attachments were left on my seat, and the cabling from my dashboard had been yanked out and left hanging on the floor. I am genuinely shocked that a dealership service department could return a customer's vehicle in worse condition not once, but twice. The complete lack of quality control, attention to detail, and respect for customer property is astounding. Sit back, because this is going to be a long one. Let's talk about SUNRISE FORD of Fontana. First and foremost, I do think I got a pretty good deal on the vehicle I bought. However, that's about the only positive thing I can say about my experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had been looking for a family vehicle and came across one on Sunrise Ford's website. I sent an inquiry, and they contacted me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just a side note: if you don't already know this, no deal is ever really a "good deal." Dealerships are businesses, and they're in it to make money. I understand that. But honesty and transparency still matter. We discussed pricing over the phone. They did the usual "I have to talk to my manager" routine. I was initially interested in one vehicle, but they later called back and told me the price listed wasn't actually the real price and that it would cost more. I told them I wasn't interested. Then they said they had another vehicle that was still considered "new," but it had been used as a dealer loaner. It had around 3,000 miles on it. For the price they offered, I thought it seemed fair. I made it very clear that I had a number in mind and that I wanted that amount to be my out-the-door price. No surprises. No hidden extras. I wanted to come in, sign the paperwork, and leave. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They told me that if they gave me that deal, I had to do it that day. The classic pressure tactic designed to make you rush into a decision.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fortunately, I had already done my research and was prepared to move forward if everything checked out. I drove out to Fontana and arrived around 5:00 p.m. What should have been a straightforward process turned into an almost five-hour ordeal. I didn't leave until close to 10:00 p.m. The vehicle looked great. Then the paperwork started. I had a pre-approval letter from my bank, yet they still ran my credit. From what I can see, they sent it to multiple lenders instead of just honoring my financing. I have excellent credit, so I still don't understand why that was necessary. That's another issue I'm currently addressing with them. Then I sat down with the finance manager to finish signing everything. In the middle of the paperwork, he handed me a "used car disclosure." Used car disclosure? I stopped and said, "I thought this was a NEW car. That's what your salesperson told me." He left the room, came back with the salesperson, and suddenly it became, "I'm so sorry. It was my mistake." Sorry, but dealerships aren't in the business of making mistakes like that. A vehicle is either new or it's not. Those details matter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then came the familiar line: "We don't pressure anyone here. If you want to walk away, that's okay." At that point, I had already invested hours into the process, called people I trusted, and researched the situation[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. In reality, the overall deal hadn't changed much financially. What bothered me was being told one thing and then finding out something completely different while signing the paperwork. At no point did anyone attempt to make it right. Instead, I heard how they were "already losing money on the deal." Let's be honest: dealerships don't stay in business by losing money. Then we got to the down payment. I told them I'd wire the funds. Their response was that I couldn't take the vehicle until the wire cleared. That didn't make sense to me. The contract had all of my information, the full amount financed, and all of the protections they needed if something fell through. Yet I couldn't take the vehicle? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead, I had to go back to my bank, get cashier's checks, and drive all the way back to Fontana again. No offer to help, no accommodation, nothing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finally brought them the checks because, at that point, I just wanted to be done with the process. Then, after I left, they called me saying I needed to come back and sign a registration release for the vehicle I traded in. I told them I had already signed that paperwork. The employee said he couldn't find it. I explained that my experience with them had been one issue after another and that if I found the pink slip, I'd bring it in when I had time. A few minutes later, he called back and said, "Never mind, we found it." SUNRISE FORD, these kinds of mistakes shouldn't happen. Customers understand that dealerships are businesses. We understand you need to make money. What we don't understand is misinformation, repeated errors, wasted time, and a lack of accountability. Do better. If I could leave less than one star on this review, I absolutely would. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership in my life. After inquiring about a vehicle online they proceeded to tell me that their website price at MSRP was "inaccurate". Which actually meant, "we're adding an additional $5,000 on top of the MSRP." Come to find out, since Ford is offering 0% interest on 60 month loans they are increasing the prices of their vehicles to offset what a customer would save on the interest. So I give up after telling them that I'll purchase the vehicle at MSRP if they'll remove the dealer added markup. "I'm sorry, sir, our manager won't allow that." Fast forward two weeks later and I get a telephone call. They ask if I'm interested in the vehicle. I tell them, yes! ONLY if you YOU'RE interested in removing your absolutely ridiculous dealer added markup. Their answer was astounding, "We can ABSOLUTELY DO THAT!" I thought to myself, there's no way they came around, but I'll bite that hook to see where it takes me. I wait two days for a return call and NOTHING. I wouldn't have expected anything less from this wonderful dealership. They decide to follow up with an email. This is absolutely hilarious. The email says they've been trying to reach me but cannot. Please call them to discuss the vehicle purchase. I respond as the sales person DID NOT LEAVE ME THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER! Hey, Joe(real name changed to protect the innocent) I'd love to call you back but you don't put your telephone number in your emails! Here's my number, please call me. The customer service and experience at this point is so horrendous it's comical. I finally get a call back from Joe who tells me he can sell me a vehicle at MSRP, but only if I ORDER IT FROM THE FACTORY. Well, Joe, you understand that ordering a vehicle and waiting WEEKS for it to be built means I can't take advantage of the 0% finance offer, right? Right, Joe? Joe tells me yes, but I'll be eligible for any offer that's available when my vehicle arrives. Sorry, sir, I'm not a gambler. I'm not going to give you money, have Ford build a vehicle to then pay an unknown interest rate when it is delivered. The lack of logic and basic common sense shouldn't come to me as a surprise, but I like to think the best of people. I explain that won't work and if they want to sell me a vehicle at MSRP RIGHT NOW I'm a buyer. They decline. At this point, I'm so soured on Ford from the experience I'll probably end up buying a GM or Honda product instead. Bottom line, avoid this dealership at all costs. read more

We lied, and blamed our bank for not approving delivery due to insurance issues. I thought my first experience was just an isolated incident, but my second visit was just another repeat with a DIFFERENT service rep. The general manager, Jamie Lange, tried to make me feel like I misunderstood the situation and that Raul was only trying to make sure I wasn't "missing out on a great opportunity." The first person who helped me made a lot of promises--telling me everything was possible and coming across as very friendly. Unfortunately, he couldn't deliver on those promises. I was offered a high interest rate, wasn't given a fair value for my trade-in, and when it became clear that I wasn't going to move forward with the deal under those terms, his attitude changed and he became rude. That's when Daniel stepped in. He didn't make empty promises--instead, he said, "Let me see what I can do." He stayed with us until midnight and worked out a deal we were happy with. His professionalism and honesty made all the difference. So if you've had a bad experience here, it might just be that you ended up with the wrong person. I asked him to honor the same deal on another car but claims that deal was only valid on that specific car. Came in today to purchase one of their 2024 Mach e selects. Found a vehicle that I was interested in but when we began to negotiate the price it became apparent that they were more interested in playing games than coming to a reasonable price for the vehicle.. The sales rep we specifically drove an hour to work with was unhelpful at best as he passed us on to an individual who had only been there for 3 weeks! Talk about making your customer feel unimportant.. When the time came to talk numbers there was no negotiating because they argued the vehicle had already been knocked down from its original msrp by 10,000. However, the primary reasons for this is the EV market depreciates heavily after the first year, and the vehicle was a demo for the dealership.. at least that was what the sales rep helping us told us... but that was NOT what the original salesman indicated to us as he cited it being preowned. All of this in mind, I made them aware that there are vehicles with similar mileage going for a much lower rate and if they were willing to work with the price we would have a deal ON SITE. Their counter? To offer me 10 PERCENT less on my trade in and CHARGE ME for the incurred mileage from THEIR DEALERSHIP showing off the vehicle. The word insulted comes to mind when I think of the overall experience here and anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership needs to come very prepared to be hustled, or consider one of the many other ford dealerships in Southern California. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. They will sell you a car without transferring proper ownership, leaving you stuck dealing with DMV issues they should have handled. The management is completely unprofessional, and their customer service is nonexistent. Every time you try to get help, they either ignore you, dodge responsibility, or feed you empty excuses. They've proven time and time again that they're incapable of resolving even basic problems and have zero accountability for their mistakes. Instead of fixing their errors, they'll gaslight you, pass the blame, and make it your problem. They knowingly sell bad cars, hide issues, and refuse to take responsibility when things go wrong. It's not just negligence it's dishonest and unethical business practice. Valerie in particular has shown an appalling lack of integrity and honesty, and my experience with her confirmed that this dealership's values are completely rotten from the top down. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial loss. Do not buy a vehicle from here unless you want to get scammed, ignored, and treated like your time and money mean nothing. There are plenty of dealerships out there that actually care about their customer & this is not one of them. read more

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid at all cost. This dealer is a bait and switch machine. Drove several hours to check out a used car that they had posted saying "Coming Soon" and made an appointment. 30 min before my scheduled arrival received a call from Leo saying that the vehicle was still being detailed. Arrived at the dealership and had use walk to the very back of their lot called the boneyard, when we approached the vehicle we noticed that the pictures posted online were strategic to avoid the issues with this car. For one the car was not detailed, while I understand used cars have their blemishes this was an exception as pieces of the interior were missing, the paint on the left side was "hit by a sprinkler" according to Leo (yet they couldn't find time to wash it during the 3 hours of which I made contact). Car drove fine so we went inside to talk numbers. Leo mentioned all these additional addons that could be included on the car including vin etching, door guards and dash cam (which were not installed on the car when we test drove it) all of which we told him we were not interested and I insisted on asking for the out the door price. He kept talking in circles and the deal wasn't going anywhere, he then said he had to step away to where he gave the hand off to his manager Hector. Hector had better customer service skills than Leo however when Hector came in with the out the door cash price he stated a higher value and mentioned all the add on crap above was already installed on the vehicle. Crazy how all of a sudden it's already installed on the vehicle yet the car was still not washed. Asked for my keys and got the heck out of dodge. If you value your time, do not go to this dealership, If you value your money, do not go to this dealership If you value your sanity, do not go to this dealership. read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER. Hidden fees, classified as mandatory "Add-Ons". When asked to remove they stated can not, and their justification was. All Dealers do it. Felt a shady vibe the entire time. read more
