I called Rock Honda and explained the situation and without hesitation, Matthew told me they'd help. The Service Team was able to locate and rescue the kitten. They gave it water and had placed into a cat cage I brought from home. My experience at Rock Honda, from purchasing two vehicles to this animal rescue has certainly earned them continued patronage from me. 1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Customer Service I received an oil-change coupon from Rock Honda on 7/27/26 that expired just four days later on 7/31/26. I attempted to schedule an appointment, but there were no appointments available until 8/3/26. So when my appointment finally came around today, I was told the coupon could not be honored because it was expired. Seriously? You send a customer a coupon on 7/27, give them until 7/31 to use it, and then have no appointment availability before it expires -- yet somehow the customer is expected to take the loss? I would have expected Rock Honda to recognize the situation and simply honor the coupon. Instead, there was no willingness to work with me, so I canceled my appointment. Firstly, do some research on what the symptoms of your car may be. The dealer will recommend things that may or may not be necessary. I waited for my repair. I recommend to never wait for it. An appointment doesn't help much either. I am past the 4th hour of waiting and I was told it would be 3 hours. I finally got an update at 1:05 pm. I have been here since 8:30 am. This is a return repair because the AC wasn't fully fixed the first time. The condenser they replaced in March is leaking again. Thankfully there was no charge to replace it again. The last time I came in, they diagnosed my car for 4 hours and then told me the bad news of having to spend $2,000 on an AC repair that they classified as "the perfect hit" which the previous dealer also said so the warranty did not cover it. Also, the mechanics ripped off my car cradle from the window and scattered the things from my glove compartment in the back seat. Unfortunately, there are some things only the dealer can fix under warranty. Find a good mechanic and bypass the dealer entirely if you can. read more

I really wanted to have a good experience at Rock Honda. My mom lives nearby, and our family purchased a 2016 CR-V from this dealership in 2017. So when I found another used CR-V I was interested in, Rock Honda was naturally a dealership I felt comfortable returning to. I drove about an hour from LA to see a 2011 CR-V and worked primarily with Cedric and Omar. I genuinely liked the vehicle after test-driving it and was interested in purchasing it. I don't know if it's because I look young and I'm a woman, but I truly felt like my questions and concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. To be frank, there felt like there was very little effort to ask what I was looking for, how serious I was about purchasing, or what I needed to feel comfortable moving forward. I understood that I was considering a 15-year-old vehicle and wasn't expecting perfection. I also understood that it was being sold AS-IS, which is exactly why I requested an independent pre-purchase inspection. I was told they would not allow one. When I explained that this was what prevented me from moving forward, Cedric emphasized that Rock Honda has highly certified technicians and that this wasn't a "mom-and-pop" dealership. That response didn't sit right with me. I don't doubt the qualifications of their technicians, but Rock Honda is also the seller. If I'm being asked to trust the reputation of the Honda name while purchasing an older vehicle AS-IS, I don't think it's unreasonable to want an independent party representing my interests to verify its condition before I assume that risk. Instead, I was offered the option to purchase the vehicle first, pay for a cancellation option, have my mechanic inspect it afterward, and potentially return it within the allowed window. I wasn't comfortable having to purchase a vehicle first just to independently verify its condition. I also asked for verification that the applicable recall work had been completed. Rather than being shown documentation, the response was essentially, "We wouldn't sell it to you like that." Again, I wasn't making an accusation I was simply asking for verification before purchasing the vehicle. I originally brought my car to Rock Honda for a diagnosis because I had concerns about the transmission. Two days after, another shop had inspected the car and told me the transmission needed repairs. I dropped the car off around 7:45 AM with a scheduled appointment and it remained there until around 5 PM, when the technicians were leaving. After having the car all day, Honda diagnosed the issue as a clutch problem and did not identify or mention the transmission issue that the other shop had previously brought to my attention. Unfortunately, things got worse after I left the dealership. Multiple warning codes started appearing, and my power steering was going in and out. I ended up having the car repaired elsewhere, where they discovered that a speed sensor was broken and that related hardware had been stripped. After finding these additional issues, I'm even more disappointed with the diagnosis and the overall experience. I would not recommend taking your vehicle here if you want confidence that the problem is being properly diagnosed and thoroughly checked. I'm not sure whether this was an issue with the technician's diagnosis or the standards being followed, but either way, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend Rock Honda to anyone. The salesmen are extremely unprofessional. They get visibly upset when they fail to make a deal with you. I went in trying to get a vehicle. I knew I went really low on the price they were asking for. They tried all their tricks on me, and none worked. So all the salesmen and managers ganged up on me and basically started disparaging me. They had taken my potential trade-in van key. I had to ask several times before they gave it back. I came in around noon to explore my lease options, thinking I was nearing the end of my current lease on my 2024 Honda Prologue Elite, which I absolutely love. Raphael assisted me initially and was great, professional, helpful, and welcoming. However, my experience completely shifted when I spoke with Sales Manager Cedric. For context, when I leased my current Prologue in 2024, I put $0 down with a credit score around 650 and secured a payment of $865. At the time, I was making about $90K. Since then, my situation has improved significantly, my credit score is now around 730, my income has increased, and I have a perfect payment history. I have never missed a payment and often pay extra. Despite all of that, I was told I would need to put $8,000 down and take on a $1,100 monthly payment to get into a new vehicle. That made absolutely no sense given my stronger financial profile and loyalty to Honda. The difference in service compared to my previous experience was night and day. I left feeling frustrated and honestly like I was being taken advantage of rather than helped. It did not feel like my best interest was a priority. This is my second Honda lease, and I have been a loyal customer since 2022, but this experience made me seriously reconsider returning. I would much rather work with someone who is transparent and customer focused. Work half day to ease the blow, appt time 1pm arrive 1245 wait till 115 for the service advisor to help me. He of course tries to upsell me, then tells me a couple of hours for a oil change. I had previously used Penske honda but we moved so Rock is closer. I went there for the first time and the experience was terrible. They aren't being upfront about issues. I had a minor coolant leak ( I know it was minor because I could see how much when I would move my car). They either loosened the hose or over pressurized it because the video they sent me it was leaking really bad. Then they wanted to replace all kinds of things for almost $2000. I sent their video (they didn't show my plate so really not sure if was my car) of the leak to a small shop with a great reputation and they thought it might just be a hose not connected properly. I bought a brand new 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and after only two years the engine has started to shake, which is extremely concerning for a newer car. This review is for Shafiq. I got a call saying I was eligible for a discount oil change for $5.45 and no more. Once i got to the service center at 10:00am for my appointment, Shafiq told me i had to pay an extra $20 for the oil my car required (which was never stated on the phone call). My car needed 2 recalls, so i said okay. 1 being the cars software update. My husband and I were told the car would be done by 2pm. We left the car there, never got a call, text, or anything from Shafiq. I texted the number he gave me to check the status of my car and he never replied, i had to call honda to direct the call to him (This was at 3:40, 1 hour and 40 minutes after the car should've been ready). My husband and I walk into the service center and ask where our car is, he didn't remember the car, couldn't even find the paperwork to my car. To make matters worse, he went into the mechanic shop to find my car and the mechanic told him the software update will take 60 minutes. Therefore the software update was never even started on the car until we came to get it. Very unprofessional and messy service. I've had Shafiq multiple times for car service and it's been the same every single time. Being "busy" isn't an excuse for sloppy work. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Rock Honda in Fontana. I came in because my car showed an emissions system warning, and instead of receiving helpful guidance, I was immediately told it would cost $220 just to run a diagnostic. No explanation, no effort to help troubleshoot, just a steep charge right off the bat. It felt less like customer service and more like an attempt to squeeze money out of a simple situation. To make matters worse, the service advisor was rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration. The entire service area also felt incredibly chaotic and disorganized, especially for a Saturday morning. There didn't seem to be any clear system for managing vehicles or customers, and the overall experience was inefficient. What makes this especially disappointing is that I bought my first car from Rock Honda a few years ago, and it's sad to see the quality of service decline this much over time. Do NOT take your car here for service. They do not want your business. Just check the other reviews. I made an appointment last week for some recall repairs. I showed up yesterday early to my 10 am appointment, only to be ignored until I got out of my car and waved someone down. No one moves with ANY urgency... it's like the DMV scene from Zootopia there. Everyone is moving through jello. Maria finally helps me, just to tell me they won't get my repairs done today and I should have been 3 hours early if I wanted it done same day. (Excuse me for taking the first appointment available.) Maria tells me I can come back today at 8 and they can absolutely get the recalls taken care of in the same day if I just get there at 8. So I did. I got there at 8 and again, no one would assist me until I physically exited my vehicle and flagged someone down, 30 minutes after my appointment time (clearly the appointments are a joke.) Some man that says he's the service manager says he'll help me and to leave my keys with him and he'll give me a call shortly. Ok, sounds better, so I get an Uber and head home. (After Maria made a snarky comment to her coworker not realizing i was in ear shot.) I start asking for updates around noon, to finally get a call from Isaac at 1:30. THIS gem of a man starts off the call with "we don't work on recalls until the end of the day sorry" and says they might need to order parts. SO glad I brought it in at 8 like Maria said. Everyone here clearly knows what they're doing. Only the sharpest of tools in THIS shed. Fast forward to 5:40. Isaac has said they've fixed everything but one update. Cool. We do paperwork, and they pull my car around. I get in my car, turn it on, and THE SCREEN WON'T TURN ON. Isaac comes back out, I tell him about the screen and he says "well we fixed the fuel pump, that's more important." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? What's the solution now, you might ask? Oh I can bring my car back to them tomorrow and Isaac will "see what they can do" and I "might have to leave it again." Oh how i can't wait to see how epicly they manage to fail me tomorrow. Please save yourself the trouble and the incompetency that is Rock Honda in Fontana. You'll thank me later. read more
