I went with my girlfriend to get an oil change on her Toyota car. We waited over two hrs. for a simple oil change I was mad to say the least. And yes, she did have an appointment. As we sat waiting I talked to other customers who also were un happy with Crown Toyota. One lady told me the only reason she brings her car here is because the credit department talked her into purchasing the extended warranty for her car. She said, she was not happy about the false information she was given when she purchased her car. She also told me that when her warranty is up she will never come back to crown Toyota. An older gentleman told me they will rip you off every chance they get just go on yelp and read some of the reviews. So, as we sat and waited for the oil change I went on yelp. Here are just a few complaints from customers. R.S. from Fontana said, "they also tried to sell me a battery for $400 right when the warranty expired. Three years later, the battery is still fine. DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING TIME!!!" F.G. from Corona, said, "needed a fuel pump and was quoted over $1100 called another dealership (Longo) for a quote and they told me $755 parts & labor. when on hold you hear John Elway's voice saying you get the right price the first time, no haggling. Well...not so much Mr. Elway." Pasadena, CA 6/16/2017 "I had a service appointment for my 2015 Camry last week. This was for my 25k mile appointment. Everything was great until I get a phone call saying there was a nail in my tire and they wanted to replaced it for me. I told them to hold off because I wanted to get prices other places to see if they can do better. Well I pick up my car everything and had the receptionist write which tire I needed to replace. So, I go to elsewhere to get it check and turns out I don't have a nail in my tire. I wasted most of my day trying to get this fix. If I did get it fixed there, it would have been false information just to get me to buy a tire from them" Here's another one: "I took my new 2017 Toyota RAV4 for the 10,000-mile checkup for oil change, tire rotation, break inspection and fluid check. I marked one of my tires to make sure they actually rotate the tires. When the car was returned to me I saw they never rotated them which means they never inspected the brakes either. When I told them, they said they would take it back and rotate the tires. They did it quickly and when the car was returned to me they damaged my rims. Tomorrow I am taking it back to have the rims fixed. I recommend you place a small mark on one of your tires before taking your car to make sure they do the service requested. I checked the oil and it appears they changed the oil but I'm not sure." "Beware twice they have tried to cheat me. First time I took my Camry in for the normal maintenance. They said it needed a new cabin filter cost about $50 to do as I recall, except I had just changed the cabin filter out one week before, they lied. Second time, yesterday, I had a check engine light. I took it in again, they said $140 to diagnose the problem. The called back, said it was a bad charcoal canister and would cost another $450 to verify and a total of $1000 to fix. Maybe from the earlier experience, but I decided to get a second opinion. I took it to a place I trust, they did the diagnosis for free, could not find anything wrong with any piping to the canister, but imagine my surprise, a bad gas cap, cost to fix $20. It was obvious when I was shown the cap and the rough rubber on the seal. So, Crown did manage to cheat me out of another $140, but two times burned and never again. My partner and I have purchased 2 cars from them, I think I will try someone more trustworthy. Sorry John, no more $1000 profits for a $20 gas cap!!" From what I saw on yelp it seems this dealership makes a point of ripping people off. And on paying for something that's not broken. From license plate bulbs, air filters, tires and other services. NOT GOOD! Another one said, once you are there, they will waste your time with complete disregard.They come off as prompt and professional while speaking to them over the phone, but only for the sole purpose of manipulating you to come to their dealership. I'm not sure what's going on with this dealership maybe the employees don't like their jobs I don't know. Or maybe they work on commission the more they sell the more they make. Based on the five star reviews I saw on yelp. I guess the service team only provides some customers with the so called 5-star service that they claim people deserved and that people have come to expect from them. But I guess that only applies to some people or only when the employees are having a good day themselves! Tyler Payne our service agent explained the cost in having the car repaired so we decided it was time to purchase a new car. John Elway Toyota has always provided excellent and professional services over the years. Tyler has always taken the time to call us on all work being done and really cares about each customer he serves. Thank you Tyler! Josh Reece is the service Director who helped us is making sure we were not charged extra fees for testing done on the car. The matter took a week to resolve but he called me with update and solved the issues in a timely matter. Thank you Josh for your excellent service. In August Justin Sebring ordered my new car, Toyota 4Runner-SR5 Premium 2022. Due to COVID i had to wait a few months for the arrival of my new car. In September i talked with Kai Phaithoon manager who explained the process of the delay in getting the car due to slow production. He was very informative and encouraging. The Customer Relations Manager Tina Chapman was very important in connecting me with the right person to help address my concerns. She returned my phone calls promptly and demonstrated such a caring attitude, very warm and pleasant. Thank you Tina for your support. Finally in mid September Jose Solis called me and said my car would arrive October 11th. Over the course of a few weeks Jose provided updates, he was very professional, answered all my questions and was very patient with all my questions. Thank you Jose for outstanding customer service. My birthday was October 10th my car arrived the morning of October 11th. When i arrived to pick up my car i talked with Kai Phaithoon. He was very professional and friendly. Lastly Jordy Evangelista completed our paperwork and others items needed. He to explained everything we needed to know. Thank you Jordy for your knowledge. I would like to thank the entire team who helped give me the best birthday gift i could ever ask for a new car. My experience was perfect from beginning to ending. Thank you all again.! read more

After some very high pressure sales tactics and being lied to by a competetor Toyota Dealer I stopped by on a Friday evening shortly before closing to briefly discuss the purchase of a Brand New Corolla S. I was looking at thier website for a White one with Navigation and Moon Roof. I spoke With Jose Serrano. Jose was very nice and helpful. He located the car to let me take a look at it before they closed and took the time to speak with me about the purchase of the vehicle. He spent time answering my questions well after closing. I came back on Saturday morning and worked Jason Neufield as Jose did not come in until later. Jason was great. We discussed my situation, what had happened at the other dealer and what I was looking for as well as my payment budget. I explained to both Jason and Jose that I was looking for some honesty and no pressure on this deal. Jason spent a good 2 hours with me on Saturday looking at the Corolla I was interested in as well as a Pruis C. He took me on a test drive for both Vehicle and let me spend my own time alone looking at both cars. When I was done we went and discussed finances and loan terms. I had to sell my car first, I sold it Saturday and on Sunday I called Jose told him that I was ready to purchase. Jose came and picked my up from my home to make the car purchase. Everything was above board, excellent customer service, no high pressure sales tactics, no lies no games. I had my cash in hand for the down payment. We did the paperwork and I was out with my new car in a very short amount of time. I believe the finance guy was Gary Matiossian, he was also great. He worked with me to make the extended warranty and alarm fit into my budget. I drive from the Inland Empire to Santa Monica and he wanted to make sure I had some protection in case something happened with the car. I am very pleased with the Purchase of my new car. I could not ask for a better transaction. Purcahsing a new car should be a fun exciting experience and not a stressful nerve racking one. Completely ZERO stars. The service department are a group of habitual low performers who consistently are unable to produce any results. I took my toyota in for a service and asked my service advisor what the current schedule was, he stated it was just an oil change. I went for another service and told it was just an oil change. On the third time i went, i was told i needed to do 2 missed services equaling in excess of 8k. When I asked how all the services were skipped, I was told that the toyota website gives recommended services per milestone. SO WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER WITH A SERVICE ADVISOR??? What is his entire purposed in his job other than helping the customer and ADVISING the toyota customer. There is no possible way a service can be missed with a computer sitting infront of him with programs and more than likely an AI agent providing what is required. That means he deliberately and purposefully missed a service. When I asked what services are required and how I can break up the service schedules, I was told very rudely by the service advisor, "THAT I DONT GIVE EXCUSES, I GIVE SOLUTIONS". That is a single solution not plural. It only provides one course of action for the customer to take rather than chose from a serious of courses of action. WHO IS TEACHING THESE LOW PERFOMERS? What is the training criteria and metric. Is the metric to keep screwing up until you get something right? DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE CENTER, they dont care and probably miss service schedules because they think it is funny to be incompetent or suck at life so bad that a simple task makes it seem like building a rocketship and calculating the trajectory to the moon like the artemis rocket. If you ever want to see why the United States economy is such a failure and currently in shambles, do not blame the Democrats or Republicans, blame the service advisors at this center for their inability to do a simple task correctly. Daniel Romero is definitely an asset and made my experience so comfortable and now I'm cruising in a new car ! I love my brand new '16 Camry !! It's sooo sexy and has everything I wanted and then some more .. And I was surprised to get such an awesome interest rate ! I looked and called a few other dealerships before calling John Ellway Crown Toyota and I was really set on exactly what I wanted and it seemed as the other dealerships didn't seem to understand that and kept trying to push what ever cars they had available at the time and not really considering my wants or needs . I called John Ellway Crown Toyota and they assured me they had what I wanted and if they didn't they would get one . I was so excited and impatient that I misunderstood a minor detail over the phone and there was some small miscommunication and being that I'm in Arizona and that's a far drive , I thought maybe it's not meant to be , well I got a phone call the next day from Daniel Romero ,regardless of the miscommunication prior with another salesman and Daniel Romero made me feel like a priority and did everything to make this as fast as possible since I was driving 4 hours . When I got there everything was ready to go , they just needed my autograph and some other standard paperwork from me . Daniel Romero had me driving my sexy crush blue car in about an hour ! Daniel Romero delivered exactly what I wanted nothing less and didn't pressure me into getting anything I did not want . I would definitely buy another car from here and highly recommend anyone looking for a Toyota / Scion to go see Daniel !! The overall experience was A+++++ but Daniel is what made it happen and I appreciate Daniel going above and beyond and accommodating my car buying wants/needs! My recent encounter at Crown Toyota, specifically with a salesperson named Dan Rogers, was profoundly disappointing. Despite being touted as a 'salesman of the year' with 20 years of experience under his belt, his practices were far from ethical or customer-friendly. The saga began when I received a seemingly attractive price sheet for a Camry Hybrid, quoted at $32,000. Encouraged by Dan himself to visit the dealership, I was expecting a straightforward deal. However, the reality was entirely different. Upon arrival, I was informed that the sale was tied to three undisclosed conditions. First, the dealership's lender with uncompetitive rates had to be accepted. Second, a mandatory trade-in of my current vehicle at a below-market price was required. Lastly, an unexpected $3,100 service fee for a seven-year period was added. These undisclosed conditions inflated the initial price from $33,000 to an unjustifiable $38,000. Dan's deceit was glaringly apparent through these bait-and-switch tactics. I was left feeling misled and taken advantage of, with my time and resources wasted. Considering Dan's long tenure at Crown Toyota and his 'salesman of the year' accolade, one can only imagine how many customers may have been subjected to similar deceptive practices over the years. I strongly urge potential customers to steer clear of Crown Toyota and Dan Rogers unless they are prepared to deal with hidden costs and dishonest tactics. My wife and I recently purchased a 2017 Toyota Rav4 from John Elway's Toyota. We paid extra for the CilaJet Treatment in our contract. Made an appointment and had the treatment done which takes the greater part of the day. When we picked up the vehicle, there were bird droppings at various areas on the vehicle which were there when we brought the vehicle in, and the droppings were still there after the treatment. Our Service advisor, Jorge Valdez, was very apologetic, upset that the incident occurred and stated he would forward my objection/complaint directly to the service manager, Tom Ryan, and to please make another appointment, at our convenience, to re-do the CilaJet treatment at no charge. We did make another appointment and met with Jorge Valdez when we brought the in and he made a statement. . .When you return today to pick your vehicle up, you will be very surprised at the results. Jorge Valdez's statement rung true. We walked around the vehicle to check the paint finish and it was immaculate. Although the vehicle was new, it looked better than new. I would recommend this CilaJet Treatment for every new vehicle. This treatment is somewhat pricey, but Jorge Valdez, Tom Ryan, and the commitment of John Elway, Crown Toyota, to make sure the client comes first and is satisfied in every respect with their Service visit is way above the bar of "Satisfaction". I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra, which I don't think I could ever part ways with and now my wife has the Rav4. It has been always a fabulous experience and feeling when doing business at Crown Toyota. Since my wife and I found this dealership we have kept on coming back for our vehicles needs. The professionalism and atmosphere at this place is unique; though, every time we come here different people take care of us, the treatment is always the same and the respect and courtesy given resembles that of and old friend. My wife and I have done business with Toyota for decades because of the quality and dependability of the vehicles sold and because of that we have done business with through several different Toyota dealers; however, since we found Crown Toyota, we have made it the only place where we return over-and-over to purchase a vehicle. Our latest experience with them was absolutely wonderful, my wife and I not only got the vehicle we wanted (a beautiful Hybrid Red-Camry Special Edition) but through Toyota incentives and the great work of our salesman, Mike Lee, we also got a great price and the type of monthly payment we sought. Mike took his time on helping us and searching for the deal we wanted as well as making sure we were happy with the deal and understood the details; never pressuring but always trying to remove anxiety and stress. In the finance department, Ray made paperwork simple, fast and enjoyable. He took us through the process in a manner that took practically no time but without sacrificing personal attention and detail. Our first experience started with a used vehicle we purchased in 2012. Steve the used car manager treated us like family, and made us very comfortable through the whole process. Our first week with our vehicle we encountered battery troubles and without hesitation Steve replaced our battery with a new one. NO BIG DEAL most would say. I'm not done 2 years into our vehicle we developed charging problems, because our used vehicle was a Nissan they felt we should have Nissan diagnose our concern. I experienced firsthand the difference those guys at john Elway go for there customers. those jokers at empire Nissan not only mis-diagnosed our vehicle and blamed our charging issue on our trailer hitch but when challenged on how they assured themselves that there diagnosis was correct (Gary Worley) promptly shows you the door. I shared my concern with john Elway service dept. Not only would they take in my car they diagnosed my vehicle with an electrical problem in my harness nothing related to my hitch assembly That those Nissan specialist were convinced was my problem, (LOL) Toyota repaired my problem, Did i mentioned my vehicle was a Nissan. This has solidified how very special those guys at john Elway really are.If i can recommend them on this alone it would not give it justice. guess where me and my wife will be shopping for our new hybrid vehicle? i give you only one guess!!!! My experience with Crown Toyota of Ontario left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. After carefully researching and deciding on purchasing a truck from them, I was shocked to find out they had sold it out from under me. Despite confirming my interest and setting up an appointment to finalize the purchase, Crown Toyota of Ontario failed to uphold their end of the deal. When I arrived at the dealership as scheduled, I was informed that the truck I had planned to buy had been sold to another customer as I was in the building. This lack of communication and professionalism is utterly unacceptable. No effort was made to inform me of the sale or offer any alternatives. It's clear that Crown Toyota of Ontario prioritizes making a quick sale over honoring commitments and respecting potential buyers. Furthermore, the staff's indifferent attitude towards my disappointment was infuriating. They showed no remorse for their mistake and offered no compensation or gesture of goodwill for wasting my time and causing unnecessary inconvenience. As a customer who was ready to make a purchase, I expected better treatment and respect from Crown Toyota of Ontario. Unfortunately, they failed miserably in meeting even the most basic expectations of customer service and integrity. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Crown Toyota of Ontario to proceed with extreme caution. Just bought a new Toyota Camry SE last night at Crown. Very good experience! I worked with Jason Neufeld who was just want you want from a sales person, honest and approachable. The process did take quite a while but I attribute it to the fact that I wanted to weigh every option and continued to negotiate until the last minute. Jason was very helpful in explaining everything clearly and working the numbers what seemed like a hundred times until I was satisfied. Once we finalized the price and terms it was on to the finance guy. Usually this is where they pressure you to buy all the add on's which raises your bottom line. That wasn't the case here; yes, he did tell me about all the different services I could add but I didn't feel uncomfortable with his approach. He did push the maintenance package which does make sense but I wasn't ready to make that purchase. I was satisfied with the price of the car and the monthly payment so I didn't see any reason to waiver in my decision. Once done Jason took me to the car and gave me a thorough overview of the controls. I left with a newly cleaned car and a full tank of gas! I foresee that I will be servicing my new car there as well. They offer a shuttle service which is convenient for me because I work close to the dealer. I can drop off the car and they will take me to work then pick me up later when the service is done. No more waiting in the lobby while they work on my car, this is another great advantage for purchasing at Crown Toyota. read more

My rear shocks was done on my car by John Elway Toyota. My shocks was squeaking from the day it was picked up from their shop to now. I brought in my car for Service and a team representative that I shall protect since my wife appreciates his helpfulness. He called out the lead tech Justin or Dustin to hear the noise. Justin, myself and another tech went for a ride in my car. We went over a few bumps and then returned. I told them of the noise that he presented itself when we hit the bumps. He dismissed the noise and said that it was coming from the front tire area. Either Toyota is hiring death technicians or Lying Technicians, then I will not be giving business to them anymore. I have been a loyal customer for about 2 years. It ends today. By the way Justin, you can protect your techs that worked on my shocks. But you should have just fixed the problem and not dismissed it like it wasn't there. Your job is customer service always and first even if you are the lead technician. Understand with no customers, you will have no job. By lying to the team representative and him holding you up to your words, you have lost my trust in John Elway Toyota. Whoever is the manager at John Elway Toyota needs to check their technician's work cause you will be losing customers. This is my first review at YELP, I am angry that the problem still exists. I will not be going back because it seems as if the customer is wrong at John Elway Toyota and the technician is right and protected. read more

I purchased my first Toyota here a few years ago, with the wonderful John Napolitano. I live over an hour away from this dealer but travel there for all services for my car. I've worked with Jeff in the service department (SIlver Team) since my purchase and he always treats me like a VIP. The few times I've gone to the service department without an appointment or when he is not there, a young woman has helped me and is just as efficient and nice as Jeff is. Yesterday I went in for service and ended up buying another car, again with Mr. Napolitano and the fleet department. I cannot write enough positive things about John, Jeff or this dealership. From the adorable cashier girls to Irene in the cafe, to the sales and service departments, there is nothing but professionalism, efficiency and kindness at this place. I have purchased extended warranties on both cars (always honored on my car) and Michael has been wonderful to me as well. Any time I have any issues, these people have taken care of me. I'm given a loaner if I'm running short on time and I always get follow up calls and/or emails. The longest I've ever waited in the service line in two and a half years is five minutes. Usually I am asked multiple times if I have been helped yet or if I need anything. Even the food in the cafe is decent. The ONLY negative at this dealership is grumpy Danny Zendejas, thank goodness he is in a back office. read more
