Reasonable and fast! Took my 2020 Honda Civic in for rear brakes. Dealer said it would be $350, Sal's quoted under that. I can't remember exactly and don't want to misspeak. They're very busy. The girl in the office was so nice and honest and said "thanks for trusting us!" Which really rubbed me the right way. They even shared that our front brakes have 40% left. They accept Zelle, cash or card (4% fee). Dropped off at 830 got my car back at 12, but they were done at 10:11. They even text and send you the paperwork by text. Def recommend and will be back. They're in a row of shops. Off the street you turn in where Dash is. There isn't much parking so anticipate that when you go. read more

Have been going here for several years. They do great work, are very honest and don't over charge like many mechanics do. They are trustworthy and honest and get the work done so quickly and done the right way. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and Sal the owner takes pride in his work. If you need a mechanic I highly recommend them. We take all of our cars there read more

Sal's Garage 909 - Took the fuel pump out in five minutes. My car was ready to drive in like two hours. - Auto Repair Near Me - Fontana, California

An overdue review. Went to them to get my Car AC serviced, it wasn't cooling at all. Not only they did it within 2 hours of my calling them, but the price was VERY reasonable, as compared to the quotes I received from others. The owner's wife( sorry forgetting her name) was super nice, and has all the technical knowledge! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Great garage and honest. Will tell you what is wrong and what is fine. Great people. I have taken mine and my mother in laws cars here

Super helpful and great prices. You cannot go wrong at Sals garage. They got me right in and had my car back within a day and a half. Would definitely recommend. read more

This place isn't too close to our home, but we won't go elsewhere. We've used Sals garage several times now. They always take great care of all of our car needs. Being a girl, I've gone other places for quotes and have been over priced. I appreciate the honesty from this place always, along with great customer service from the office and timely responses as well as always getting our services done in a timely manner. Prices are always reasonable. Highly recommended read more

These folks were great. From my first interaction to the last, they were very real and realistic. Provided facts, troubleshooting, and committed to getting me back on the road. Will definitely be back. read more

Was a really nice experience getting my car fixed at Sal's garage. I had to get my rear shocks and control rods replaced and at the local dealership they told me it would be $2300. I called and got a quote from Sal's that same day and they quoted me at $1000. The next day when I brought my car in, they told me some "repairs" the dealership recommended really weren't necessary and my total cost was $300. The handling on my car feels a lot better and I'm glad I went to Sal's!!! read more

They are so kind and so prompt. Figured out what was wrong in about 30 min with consistent updates! The lady inside was so sweet to my daughter and I while we waited for our ride. She had toys inside and let the baby play with the stuff! read more

This place is extremely honest and has fair prices. A few weeks ago my AC compressor went out and while every other shop was quoting me for a full AC overhaul Sal worked with me to make sure he could get me the best price he could while also getting my AC back up and running cold right before a major heatwave. Alex took care of my Honda like it was his own and the entire time they were extremely transparent and helpful. A few weeks have gone by and I still haven't had any issues (knock on wood) and my AC works just as good as it did before. I would definitely use their services again :) read more

The quality of repair was excellent at a very fair price. Repairs were made the same day. Very pleased with repairs and establishment.

Took my car to Sal's Garage and had a great experience. Sal helped me out a lot and made the whole process easy and stress-free. He was straight up, explained everything clearly as they worked, and didn't try to upsell or pressure me into anything I didn't need. Even saved me from replacing a perfectly working axel, was able to return it and get back $200. The work was done right and in a reasonable amount of time, Sal and his crew do great work read more

I have been taking my car to Sal for some years now and every time I get superb service and great customer service. They are always friendly and their prices are reasonable. So to read a bad review on here is complete BS because there's no way Sal has ever made me feel pressured on a price. He's always very helpful and honest with his prices. Thank you again! read more

Break job on wife's kia this morning went great good service on time with work estimate.

Brought my 2019 charger here for transmission work and words can't express how grateful I am. Every shop in the area wanted 2 weeks or more to repair or that it was to new for them. My car came out as quick as it went in and they were very accommodating with their prices and what I could afford, definitely recommend and I myself will be back for more business with them and they work with warranty! read more

Just wanted to say thank you again and tell you, we appreciate all your hard work in finding the problems I once had. Hands down to one of the best places that I have ever taken my jeep in for repairs. I had a short time to be without it but it's okay because Sal made it happen and fixed my engine problem. Sal and his team are great and right off the back friendly and straight to business. They walked me through everything as was needing to be replaced and repaired. They took photos of everything to make it clear on what was needed. I would refer anyone who needs mechanic work done, these guys are great. read more

Sal's garage strikes again!!! I wouldn't recommend any other automotive shop with out being more confident they'll take care of you. I'm a returning customer. Sal's garage replaced my transmission on my 2013 Jeep wrangler about 2 years ago and it's still running strong after 25k miles. They took care of me last week. Long story short himself and his crew found a fuel injector that got stuck open, it flooded my engine and air intake manifold. They took care of it within a couple hours. The main thing that stuck out is they stayed open about a half a hour after closing hours to finish the job. They could of told me to come back the next day to pick up.. but they didn't . We all know our vehicle is our safe ticket. For that reason il always be a returning customer and recommend this shop to my friend and family. read more

I was referred to Sal's Garage by Les Schwab. I saved a ton of money from having unnecessary repairs. The quality of service is wonderful. Sal and his team were able to fix my car quickly. I definitely recommend this place for all of your car issues. read more

This shop is LEGIT. I took my sons 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Sal for an engine replacement. Sal had ordered 2 engines from his reputable vendor and once they arrived he sent them back because they didn't look as good as the said they were. He decided to rebuild the original engine and the car runs very well. Sal's garage is very honest, reliable, and economical as well compared to dealerships or other shops. I highly recommend this shop and I will keep coming back read more

Never again. This time I took my girlfriend's car in for what I suspected to be a bad cat. I was surprised when Sal offered to do a Micky Mouse repair. Basically installing a home made resister (a metal spring) to trick the sensor into passing smog. He wanted $200 for this "repair". He didn't bother to inspect the car to find out what was really wrong or offer any other solutions. Ultimately we went to the dealer and they said it was a bad sensor and charged $125. read more

Drove in on a Saturday morning for a tune-up only! When Sal arrived he asked where I got the oil change because they didn't change the filter!! The price was a fit, it was quick, and I felt good, not like someone just rip me off for a shitty job! Like the other place went to get oil change!! thank you Sal!! see you soon for the complete oil change!! read more

My mom's car broke down the other day. She's 81. We felt it needed to be looked at, maybe there was some issue with the transmission. We called Sal's Garage 909, and spoke to a friendly young lady. Explained the situation, she said bring it in and we'll look at it. We had it towed to their shop. They looked at it, determined it would need a transmission. She gave us a quote which we thought was fair. We thought they would have the car for 5-6 days. Enough time to take out the old transmission, get the new transmission and then install it. But, they finished it the next day! They had it out the same day they got the car. But here's the most important and impressive part, this young lady has the absolute best customer service. Texting us updates and photos all throughout the process, which again was 1 day! Sal's Garage 909 is our new go to mechanic and I will tell anyone and everyone where to take their car if they need service. Customer service like this is non-existent these days. Sal keep up the good work, your father taught you well sir!! read more

My car clutch was in very bad condition could barely drive and called them last minute on Friday and they let me explain my situation and problem and asked questions and wanted to make sure the diagnosis was good. Not only that but their prices are very well. Best costumer service I had from mechanic shop. Family company and wholesome. They did above and beyond on my work and knew I was in good hands. Worst customer service online! Do not use them if you want quality customer service. Just the worst! Reno specifically. Update: Reno, please don't insult my intelligence and act as if I do not know what being rude is. I called you a prick after you were rude. If you can't take the time to answer simple questions a future paying customer may have, act as if I am wasting your time, and when I make a comment that your response was in fact rude and not even bother to offer a simple apology or address the questions I had to begin with.. then yes, you may not think that is rude, but I in fact do. Pictures attached of the whole conversation so people know what kind of service to expect from you, Reno. If they choose to deal with you that's their right, I however don't. So I stand by my review that if someone wants quality customer service DO NOT USE SAL'S AUTO. read more

I wanted so much for this to be a great review because I wanted to find a great mechanic but... I have a 80 series Toyota Landcruiser and wanted a LS swap. Sal's Garage was recommended by a friend and I was so excited it was going to happen. Sal quoted me 9k and 30 days and ended up costing me 13k and 5 months. even though it was more and took longer I just wanted my truck back, but to my dismay there were a ton of issues. 1)a/c was not working even though he promised he would have it done and would have to bring it back to him. later he told me that even though he had said he would provide a/c, I would have to take it to someone else (electrician) and pay out of my pocket for it. I ended up paying another $2800. 2)some dash gauges were not working. 3)transmission would only go into drive or reverse (no low gear or 2nd gear) 4)no reverse light. 5)things I found were not tightened (oil drain plug, transfer case drain plug, motor mount, hose clamps) 6)overheating issues (even though I didn't initially have overheating, all my hoses were leaking from one to other and finally blew my heater core. finally took it back to him and he had it for 1 1/2 weeks and put new fans and supposedly put other radiator and did a head gasket on there but still getting over 240 deg on big hill such as Grapevine and Cajon Pass and at this date of review I think he is done with helping me on it. initially he had told me it was a 2 year warranty but now after 7 month he said it out of warranty.) 7) today after Sal work on the above overheating issues the transmission line to the radiator burst but luckily I saw it and was able to bring it to another shop to fix it on my dime. 8) valve cover leaking. 9)transmission leaking. 10) broken down in Vegas with misfiring issues and had to tow it all the way back to Cali. bottom line is I hate giving bad reviews because it means things didn't go well. it was a huge mistake finding Sal and I've spent countless hours and thousands of dollars trying to diagnose and fix ongoing issues while I built this truck to be a traveling/overlanding vehicle. hard to travel. when your vehicle is unreliable. let my bad experience be a warning to you! read more

I wanted to wait a while to make sure the engine was solid. Great Job! read more

Don't waste your time on a quote with this business through Yelp. The business refuses to help unless you give them your phone number. This guy is flat-out lying.
