Found this spot on Yelp while in town for a college parents weekend. Had to ask several locals as it's VERY hidden. Building faces 13th& L intersection. Literally a mom & pop operation. Cooked to order, affordable, and tasty.

Same business trip one year later. Bagel 10/10. Consistently reasonably priced and great food.

Sausage egg and cheese with home fries.

Thanks to other reviews, I found this place fairly easily. What a great little mom and pop spot! The prices are beyond reasonable! I had a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and home fries. Both were delicious and my total was under $10! Definitely try it out if you're in the area!

Egg, bacon, and cheddar sandwich, on an English muffin, with ketchup added.

It is hidden from the street, with a single door entrance to the right of the main office building doors, but is definitely worth a visit! I got a bacon-egg-cheddar breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and it was delicious. My husband got it with sausage and said it was very good. Each cooked to order, and cheap at $3.19 plus tax! Also got a bagel with cream cheese that my kids said was yummy. Highly recommend.

    The little little cook station!

Legit hole in the corner office deli just of the corner of 13 and L. I came in after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. Do this place a favor and pay with cash! They have a plethora of fridges and snack items such as candy bars, chips, pop tarts, etc. I was craving soup (in the summer why idk) and came into here hoping to get away from chain Au Bon Pan soup. They only had chili so I went with it but the prices were so affordable thought I'd get a sandwich too. They agreed to make it into a wrap, and they were not stingy on packing my wrap full! It was enough for 2 meals! Yummm. Really is a hole in the wall. Tiny. They also have precut fruit and salads in the fridge. I highly suggest all of it! I had the chicken salad, watched her make it fresh, and it was delicious! Actually everything looked good!

My sandwich just wasn't that good. Chicken had no seasoning. Lettuce wasn't fresh. Seemed expensive compared to what you got.

The best little hidden gem with some of the cheapest food I've found in DC. Breakfast for $5 and under? Yes please!

Their factory is located in neighboring Forestville and I was happy to have found their hotdogs to add to the baskets for my local families. All natural and pure beef, I know these will fill happy bellies. Sandwiches are immense, and their hotdogs rival none other. I sampled and served them during the recent World Series watch I hosted and everyone loved my spin on the Japadog. Back to back win for the Dodgers and grandslam for Stachowski's dogs! As a lifelong fan of classic NY deli (ie Katz's) I had long heard of Stachowski's facsimile. In short, it was a thorough disappointment. Taste-wise, the sandwich tasted as if someone had made corned beef in error, then, realized their mistake and threw pastrami seasoning on it and threw it in a smoker at the last minute. It was tough, chewy, and basically inedible. If you've got a hankering for NYC pastrami, you're better served heading up to Katz's. It's worth the trip.

I live ~10 min drive north from this location. This is my second time coming for a private event…read moreand both times I've come, I've said out loud, "I should order takeout from them once a week!!" They operate a deli counter in the front and a bar / speakeasy in the back. You can rent out the bar space for private events. Last night, we had the space (and a bartender!) to ourselves, along with 3-4 different types of sandwiches. There is something SPECIAL about their seeded Italian bread. The perfect flakiness and texture. I enjoyed the chicken fontina and Italian. The caprese was my least favorite--not sure if they use a balsamic or what, but the flavor wasn't coming through. Before I left, I decided to order a large chicken cheesesteak to take home for lunch the next day. It was a bit of a risk to order a hot sandwich that I would have in the fridge overnight but I heated it up in our air fryer/toaster oven for all of 10 mins and the bread was good (not soggy) and the sandwich itself was delicious. I enjoyed it so much, I didn't stop to take a photo until the last bite :) It's a decent size sandwich--I ate half for lunch (along with my own chips and veggies) and have another half for tomorrow so while it's not cheap, I think it's reasonable.

The worst part is they charged me nearly $20 for that abomination. What a rip off. I thought they were decent pre-covid, but apparently they just don't seem to care anymore. Other places make loaded sandwiches... save your money!!
