I've tried some of their drinks and you cannot go wrong pretty much with all of them. Two of my favorite are the Oreo Brûlée and the Brown Sugar Boba. I usually substitute my boba with crystal (agar) boba just to put a little twist on my drink if I'm feeling adventurous. The price is pretty decent. It's mostly $5 to $7, in Los Angeles I think the price are very competitive with other boba shop. The service is pretty good, no complaints at this moment. I like boba and I ignorantly thought all boba was created equal until I had Sunright for the first time. Boy was I wrong this place is a gem! The menu is simple, but the taste is very much quality. The boba is soft and subtle in sweetness and you can customize your level of sweetness which I appreciate because it makes the experience more enjoyable in my opinion. The Crème brûlée pudding they have is AMAZING a must when trying this place. I can't wait to place an order again and potentially try different milk tea flavors, but the house milk tea is amazing on its own. There are 2 other competing boba places nearby (3 if you count Jamba Juice but haven't tried their boba yet) but this one definitely has the most business!! There is cute decoration inside and two big screens to order from. The payment scanner is right next to the screen. Pricing was average, $5 something for one drink. It had a good amount of customers when I went in but my order didn't take too long. I got the original Sunright milk tea boba. It was delicious! A small chain, this is the first time I've visited any of the locations. It was a warm day and before heading home after shopping in Old Town we popped in. I liked the ordering kiosks and the option to do it via phone is also great. Then, they assemble the drinks and call out for people to pick up. It's vibrant and colorful inside, I didn't really explore much but there's a gift area slightly out of sight from the long bench set against the wall. I enjoyed sitting there because we were treated to a Corgy parade of sorts. Four different ones and they were cute. One guy didn't want to go back outside into the hot muggy weather and tried to anchor himself to the floor. He failed... Finally, our drinks were ready. It was busy but didn't take too long. I only wish I'd known 50% less sweetener would desaturate the flavor, but it did put the tea and fresh peaches more forward in the mix. Been back several times and things have gotten a lot better in my experience much to my surprise. My drinks no longer sit in the limbo at the window waiting to get placed on the counter. My 50% sweet has been 50% sweet consistently. The cream pudding is still hit or miss, but I don't always get the toppings anyways. The peach jasmine and watermelon cooler are absolute hits and are super refreshing. Come on an off day and this makes for a very quick and very satisfying boba run. read more

Liked the option to order online since parking can be hard in the area. The order was ready quickly. I usually get regular milk tea at most places but had to try the Oreo brûlée boba milk since the pics make it look so good and saw other reviews rave about it. I got it 50% sweet and it was the right amount for me. Felt sweet at first but you gotta give it a good stir at the bottom to mix the Oreo bits. Look for garage parking - the school house one is $1 for the first two hours and is close by. It's hard to find metered spots in that area. I got the strawberry frostie which had some cheese mixed inside. You can customize the sweetness level (I did 75%) and add toppings for an additional cost per topping. Sad to see so many businesses and restaurants no longer in Pasadena, but I was ecstatic to hear that my favorite bowl of the spot is now there, nestled. Between the many shops, you'll see the bright yellow sign when I went this weekend, wonderful service and very clean. I expect nothing but the best, great drinks as always and although there's no restroom there, the barista was very helpful and telling me the nearest one, I forgot her name but she was extremely friendly and also welcoming, I definitely will return and I highly recommend to anyone in the area 10/10 recommend! If you're feeling like a milk tea, I highly recommend the pandem of tea or the salon, if you're feeling like coffee, coffee oolong is excellent, strawberry Frosty can't go wrong with that, if you're feeling like a milkshake I love how you can adjust the sweetness and ice level! I am proud to say Sunright is my favorite spot for boba. This is coming from a boy who grew up in the 626, drinking boba for over 25 years. I personally like a sweeter boba drink over a stronger flavored tea. Gone are the days where I could tank a nom nom drink from Half and Half (aka I love my sweet but not overly sweet). I know for a fact that if you like a stronger tea flavor, you can stick with their normal milk tea or fruit tea and get less than 100% sweet. I have friends who love Chica San Chen and Ten Ren who also love Sunright. However, if you are like me who loves sweet, get 100% and most of their popular starred drinks that sounds really sweet are solid choices. I absolutely love the mango milk tea - I have gotten this twice already and somehow they always have fresh mango which is NOT always the case with boba drinks (looking at you Yifang). I like Sunright Tea at all locations I've been to. So it's nice to have one in the middle of Old Town Pasadena. It's convenient to walk to when in town to grab a drink. I ordered a classic boba milk tea and it was good as usual, boba consistency was spot. Parking may be hard in the area on a busy night but wasn't a problem when I went. Went to Old Town Pasadena with the family and craving boba. This is was the nearest boba place they Google recommended. I had their Jasmine milk tea 50% sweet level with brown sugar boba. It was super refreshing and the boba was fresh. Soft and chewy. I also ordered lemon jasmine ice tea. It was at 75% sweet level. I liked it super fresh and light. It's literally like drinking an ice cold lemonade. They also have cheese foam topping and a good selection of other creamy boba and one of the popular drinks is the green matcha boba milk tea. Restaurant: bench seating and they have two kiosks machine. They also had two cashiers if you had questions and wanted to order with a life person. Parking: it's off the old town strip so you can park at the parking structure. Staff: limited but they are there if you need to ask questions for a first timer. Conclusion: highly recommended! The boba is super delicious! The drinks can definitely be on the sweet side but I love how the boba itself is consistently good and never too mushy. My favorite is the brown sugar milk drink with brown sugar boba. You can order through the touch pad which is awesome because there is nearly little to no contact with other people. The first time I tried Sunright was at the Monterey park location and the drinks were no good. Had like no flavor. I never planned to return. However, this location was offering buy one, get one so I said WHy NOT?? I m glad I decided to go because the service was great! Although the line was long but it went by pretty quick. The guy was patient, detailed and nice. The tea here was good! I got the strawberry jasmine tea w/jasmine jello. It had strawberry bits and a block of jello lol I love the jasmine jello. However, keep in mind that if you add the jello you will end up with very less tea. The mango tea was also very good. It came with mango jam. I love it! Thank you for offering bogo. I happened to be in Old Pasadena for a quick return nearby and decided to come in for a drink before I head out to Koreatown to meet a friend. A few weeks ago, I was here but there was a massive queue so I went somewhere else but this time it was nearly empty except this one person before me was taking more than five minutes to order a drink. I almost left again knowing how impatient I can be these days but I waited. I ordered nothing too fancy; Grapefruit Jasmine Green Tea which is what I usually get almost everywhere else. I got it half sugar and light ice. My drink was ready in a couple minutes later. I took a sip and it was super refreshing! Although my drink was still overly sweet, it was the flavor I was looking for. I think it may be a Sunright thing. I always order half sugar and its still way too sweet. Next time I am going to try quarter sugar and see if that makes any difference. The guy at the register was nice but he didnt understand my name. When I saw my name on the drink, I was like what..? I honestly do like sunright but I came by to do a quick pick-up order and found that they made my drinks overly watery and didn't do ez ice like I requested. I reached out to sunright to ask if they could remedy the situation and they said I should've done it while I was in the store (again I just wanted to do a quick pick up order so I had already left not thinking the drinks would be like that) and they gave me the runaround asking me to send receipt multiple times etc and didn't remedy the situation. I like Sunright because their boba is soft and chewy, their teas are strong, and the price is fair!! I would say that their drinks are on the sweeter side. I prefer to get 25% sugar for my milk teas whenever I add boba into my drink. My favorite boba shop in Old Town! I come here quite often to get drinks due to the pricing of my regular drink compared to other stores. Their special drinks are a bit more on the pricier end, but those are a bit more hit or miss for me so I just stick with the peach oolong with cheese foam. Service is super fast on a day with not much people, and even on longer lined days they are still pretty quick. The store doesn't have tables, but there is a bench on the side to sit on while you wait for your drinks. I love Sunright tea studio! but this time my drink was not blended correctly. I ordered from the Pasadena location. I've gone to other locations and they always do it perfect! But my first time going to the Pasadena location and it was not a great experience due to it not being blended correctly, with little chunks of ice and not as sweet. I always do 100% sweetness, but I think because the ice was in chunks it caused my drink to not be as sweet. I would accept a remake of this drink since I wasn't satisfied with this one read more

#73 in my Teaholic Diaries. If you haven't heard of Sunright, just where have you been?! Lol. Sunright Tea Studio is a boba chain with locations throughout SoCal, and they have been expanding FAST. Like I mentioned in my review of one of the other locations, the Sunright chain emphasizes quality tea drinks, and they offer a variety of options with that idea in mind. The different drinks I've tried at this location and at a few other locations have all been consistent in taste and quality, which is often a problem at alot of other boba chains. My current favorites are the Thai tea with creme brulee and the honey blossom milk tea, but my favorites are always shifting. Honestly most of the drinks I've tried at Sunright have been great. Anyways, this Pasadena location is spacious, clean, and well-designed with their signature bright yellow color scheme that pays tribute to their sunshine theme. I also liked how this location had two self-order kiosks on one wall and a long built-in bench for waiting customers on the opposite side, with plenty of room in between (so customers aren't jammed together). I appreciate the layout because it was clearly thought out and planned well to avoid overcrowding, unlike the tiny shoebox of a store that is the San Gabriel location. I think this location opened up around the same timeframe as the Arcadia, San Gabriel, and Monterey Park locations, but the Pasadena store is now my favorite of the four in this area because of their spacious layout. read more

I came here on a whim after having dinner in old town and loved it! Would highly recommend if you're in old town and looking for a tasty drink to sip on while you're walking along Colorado. Parking isn't easy around here so I wouldn't come to this location otherwise. The ordering process is super easy. There are soo many delicious options on the menu. They use premium matcha and quality ingredients. The Sunright milk tea has boba included at no extra cost, which I really liked. The boba is perfect. They have other toppings too. We waited only a few minutes before our drinks were ready, then we were on our way! :) There are no tables inside but since it's located right on Colorado, you'll want to take your drink to-go anyways to stroll around and shop.
