I ordered the jasmine milk latte with regular ice, which was a lot of ice. Order less ice next time. It was in a food hall area and nice to explore. Please come and create your own adventure.

I'm terribly disappointed in changes that have been made to the quality of the service and products from this location. Tonight, we ordered multiple drinks and they were not in the usual cups we are used to. Had we known we would not have ordered them through Uber Eats. The drinks are now in paper cups and covered with lids akin to coffee cups, and not the usual cellophane seal. As a result, they arrived spilled and opened (also probably the result of poor driving from the Uber Eats guy). It's disappointing because they are now subject to tampering. The products were also not made properly. We ordered every drink with boba. And it was missing from one of them. We will no longer be buying from this location.

Every time I blink I feel like there's a new boba shop in town. But allow me reintroduce you to one of the tried and true's in my roster... Sunright has always come in clutch whenever I need a lil something sweet after something salty (you know how it be) ;) They were one of the few places that had this drinkable mochi topping that was my absolute faaave but so sad they don't have it anymore, but that's ok because I really respect Sunright for constantly evolving and rotating in new products. They currently have the super trendy Dubai chocolate in a frostie form, and where else can you get a Cosmic apple oolong tea?! And after much trial and error by yours truly, this is how to order THE perfect drinks at Sunright take notes... -Matcha latte with pistachio cheese foam 75% sweet -Sunright fruit tea 50% sweet with agar boba and no fruit slices (to maximize the amount of tea) ;) Thanks for reading! ^-^

White Peach Oolong Milk Tea with pudding

This spot is inside The Lab, so you'll need to go into the building to find it. They have a self-service kiosk where you can place and pay for your order which makes it really easy. Every time I've been, it's been pretty quick since there usually isn't much of a line or a wait. My go-to drink is the white peach oolong milk tea. I get it 50% sweet with less ice and add creme brulee or pudding, which adds a little extra sweetness back in without it being too much. The tea flavor is really nice and not too heavy. I get this almost every time. It's a solid spot if you're already in the area and want a quick boba run.

I lovvvveeeee this place! Absolutely obsessed! I always get the same thing-- the brown sugar boba, and it never disappoints! This time though I got it with almond milk and it was soooo good! My husband got the grapefruit jasmine tea with lychee and it's so refreshing. 10/10 recommend

Consistently good tea, and you don't typically have to wait too long for your drink. The self-service kiosk is easy to use and super convenient. My go-to drink is the Sunright fruit tea, but I've enjoyed every drink I've tried so far. IMO, 50% sweetness is the way to go.

This cut part let my tea just spill out despite the lid being on tight.

Done with this place. Get better lids for your cups. I feel like the employees did this on purpose because I didnt leave a tip. My cup had a little piece cut and my drink kept spilling everywhere, even though the lid was on tight. That little cut let the tea spill out all over. Never coming back again.

I have been going here since this place opened and I can honestly say it is a solid boba shop with great flavors. They used to be very well staffed back in the day. My favorite drink is the coconut mango slushy type or the mango yakult milk tea. I generally get less sweetness because they are a bit heavy handed with the sugar. Service is usually good but the other day when we went they had signage stating they were understaffed. I think having a solo employee working a VERY BUSY boba shop is insane. The franchise owner and management should come and support these workers because the line gets INSANE. in my eyes it seems like management is poor and they leave their employees stranded with no help. On multiple occasions we have come to see 1-2 workers busting their butts because the line is huge and they have a ton of DoorDash orders. The ambiance is nice and clean. Lots of study areas with plugs trickled around. Overall we would return for the drinks because the flavor is fantastic, but I genuinely am concerned for the workers.

    Strawberry Frostie
    Dean W.

Checked out this location on a Saturday since I was in the area, was craving their Strawberry Frostie - which I had tried at a different Sunlight location. This spot is located at the Soco/OC Mix shopping center. Plenty of parking since it's mostly furniture stores, and either half the spaces are vacant, or they are closed by 5pm. I think when this location first opened a few years ago - things were pretty active here, but it seems most of the businesses didn't recover after the pandemic. You order at a touchscreen, and barely have any interaction with the staff - the guy that called out my order did so, and then promptly turned away - didn't check receipt or anything. I'm not even sure why the screen asked for a tip at this point, if it's interaction with a computer screen, and barely any acknowledgement from the employees. In any case - the drink itself was great and tasty. The cheese frosting in the Strawberry Frostie definitely helps balance out the sweet/tartness of the fruit, while still keeping the drink "memorable". There is ample seating throughout the center.

Mango Jasmine Tea (Left) & White Peach Oolong Milk Tea w/ Honey and Agar Boba (Right)
    Michelle N.

I think I just found another go-to boba spot to add to my list. I've been looking for a place that sold White Peach Oolong Tea for forever since Orobae took it out of their menu and I finally found a Milk Tea version! I got the White Peach Oolong Milk Tea w/ Honey and Agar Boba. There was a special on the agar boba and I was able to add it in for free to try it out. Fun fact, I used to not like the texture of it but have grown to love it since. The White Peach Oolong flavor was very strong and delicious, even with 50% less sweetness! The honey and agar boba mixture made the drink even more enjoyable. Ordering was done through a self-serve iPad and we got our drinks out within minutes! Definitely worth trying out.

    Oreo crème brûlée
    Daisy G.

I usually go to the Sunnyvale location. Was on a trip and stumbled upon Sunright and decided to get my usual drink. For some reason the drink didn't taste the same as usual (Oreo crème brûlée). Maybe because it was about 30 minutes before closing but it didn't hit the same as the Sunnyvale location. It had a weird taste to it

Jasmine Green Tea with Cheese Foam
    Katya Z.

I got the Jasmine green tea with cheese foam - make sure you shake it before you put your straw in! The boba was the right texture - soft and not too chewy (more melt in your mouth). The Jasmine green tea was flavorful and the cheese foam wasn't too overpowering. I didn't love that at this location there's only one kiosk to choose your drink at so some people can take a long time and you're waiting 10+ minutes before you can even put an order in.

    Kay D.

Service 10/10 Interior 10/10 Price 8.7/10 Quality 10/10 Frankly no complaints the quality of tea and boba has always been fresh whenever I come. There's not a drink I specifically love / stands out to me at sunright but everything's balanced across the board. The service is quick I would say for the cup size it's a ok price, when I come it's usually not too busy but I have heard it does get held up.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. When you enter, the location is huge! Tons of tables and seating. Nice! People are working, hanging out, and enjoying their food and drinks. I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. There was so much flavor from the egg and bacon and seasonings. It was a little hard to eat out of the to go container, but I made it work. It could easily be shared depending how hungry you are. Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They also have an outdoor area with covered seating surrounded by plants. The menu delivers just as much appeal as the setting. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.

I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! They've got plenty of "fun" drinks, which is what they're known for, to me. I often come by for a banana-based drink, whether it be matcha or coffee. I enjoy how they don't take themselves so seriously for a 3rd wave specialty spot. It's easier to get in and get out without having to feel like you're making a decision that you'll be getting judged for, you know? Anyways, the coffee I had was excellent, and it helped me power through my work day. Is there anything else you need?
