Every local store was closing and didn't want to take me, but they were incredibly sympathetic and understanding, offered to fix right away or if needed put my spare on, even though they were about to close. They were waiting for me when I arrived and were so kind and helpful. Right away figured out there was a nail in tire that I couldn't see, and repaired it quickly at a very reasonable price. My old place had a whole area inside to sit and wait. This place does not and I was a little concerned because I have a disability walk with a cane and can't stand for more than a few minutes. Without asking, the owner (I believe it was the owner) grabbed a folding chair from outside on a hot day and set it down inside the store. I was impressed and touched by the gesture. I will sing their praises til the day I die!…read more John is INCREDIBLE. From the moment you walk in, he lets you know if and when he'll be able to work on your vehicle that day. Never any lies, just complete honesty. Once he does get to looking it over (which only takes a couple of hours or so), he calls you to let you know what he sees and what repairs he recommends. He never gets started on anything without letting you know beforehand, which I deeply appreciate. He'll sometimes show you the problem himself. He gives you an estimate on the cost right there and then too, and it's always similar to or even lower than what other mechanics would offer. Again, he NEVER does a repair without you knowing about it and agreeing to it first, and he's not at all pushy. The repairs are always spot on, more than affordable for what he sometimes has to do to attack the problem, and John is always true to his word. I've come to Mineola Auto Care multiple times, and I've always received stellar service. I go out of my way to come here because I know I can completely trust their work. John is very genuine and kind - he even took the time to write me a list of things to watch out for and look for in my car. It's this above and beyond service that ought to earn them way more than 5 stars, but 5 will have to do for now. Needless to say, HIGHLY recommend!

Hasib had ordered the wrong front tires for my car, which caused several dashboard errors. He had me come to Rice's Automotive (new shop he is now at) to resolve issues from my inspection. Hasib realized and admitted he had ordered front tires that are the wrong size for my car but he blames the mechanic (Ernie) for installing those wrong tires and he says it's Ernie's fault. He sent me to Hempstead Discount Tire (where Ernie is now at) and that Ernie will take care of the situation and fix it. I went there and Ernie said it's not his fault and it's Hasib's fault and that he (Ernie) will not be fixing the tires. Hasib said he feels bad and he will have his mechanic (Cruz) fix this situation Instead of providing the new tires I was owed and paid for, Cruz installed old, used tires from 2023. The proof was undeniable: one tire had a visible, pre-existing patch on it. This same patched tire went completely flat hours after I drove home I called Cruz immediately and he said to bring the car back and he'll take care of it. At this point, my trust was completely broken. A shop that passes off old, defective parts as a legitimate 'fix' is not a shop that operates with integrity and an excellent standard of service and I refused to waste any more time in receiving a bare minimum standard of service Their solution was minimal and dishonest I would not recommend this shop to anyone

They took the car at 11 and by 1:30 they called us letting me know the car was ready for pickup. I was actually not expecting the car to be ready so soon. I had the rear brakes replaced and the salesman told me the cost, which I thought was great, then the final price was given at the end of the service and it was nearly double. I had asked why the increase when they gave me the cost and the guy said he only gave me the cost of the parts, WTF!! Why not give the total cost of the parts and labor with tax. The job was good and the service was fast but the sticker shock was bad. When I ask how much I want the total. Now I guess it was my fault for not asking for the total but I did feel there was a bit of a misdirection from the salesman.
