Love the food but I don't like the liberal TV stations that they always have on.. For example the View

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

The carefully curated menu has all the classic breakfast and lunch staples - omelets, eggs, pancakes, etc, and for later in the day, soups, salad, sandwiches, pork chops, NY steak and even fried chicken! I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs over easy, and the bacon on the side, and everything arrived perfect and hot. Tender, crunchy, gooey deliciousness with the sandwich and bacon! The home fries were also tender on the inside with a delicate crust. Add salt if needed for that. I really liked how clean everything was here, and it was apparent that the owners take good care of their customers and establishment. Kudos! I'll definitely look to come back here next time I'm near!

I ordered the chicken schnitzel with a side of spatzel and house made apple sauce. I was served a lightly breaded pounded chicken breast that was as big as a trash can lid and carefully placed over fresh spatzel that were kissed by the flat top. I gave it my best but it was like wire clothes hangers... it just multiplied. I didn't even make a dent in the heaping pile of lusciousness. The entree was perfectly seasoned- I am not sure why there were salt and pepper shakers on the table. The applesauce kept up its lift as a wonderful side and not an afterthought. It was just sweet enough to harmoniously complement the entree production. All I could think about was that movie The Flamingo Kid were the lead, Clark Brandon, hummed while he chewed good food. I was almost singing! If I were a local and had a closet of elastic waist pants, I would commit to working my way through the entire menu. Run- don't walk- to this one!!!

Excellent service from Shellie included one of the many German brews on tap and a great Reuben with red cabbage as my side. I desperately wanted sauerbraten like my mom used to make, but it was far too hot for a meal like that! And Mom's would always be better. Missing a star because it was the most uncomfortable booth I have ever occupied, but please know there are plenty of seating options. It must be fun when they have parties in the alley!
