Amazing breakfast in the area. Friendly staff make you feel at home and if food is cold then they are more than happy to reheat it. We went during rush hour so had to wait for a bit. Everything was super fresh to a point that I ended up buying fresh loafs of bread from here.

Stopped here to order breakfast while staying at the boyne mountain ski resort . This place is not on the resort but close to it a little further in town. I only stopped to order the Eggs Benedict to go . The place was pretty empty looked like it could use a bit of a cleaning but the staff were super nice. The eggs Benedict was ok .

Eggs over medium hash browns ham 1 slice of whole wheat toast

Waitress was great gravy no flavor eggs not over medium lunch meat for ham hash browns taste like straw. Daughter had omelette comes with no hash browns or toast. Waitress was nice.

Stuffed hashbrowns and two supposed to be over medium eggs.

First off, this business is CASH ONLY, which is ok, but the staff MUST SAY THIS PRIOR TO SERVING or EVEN ORDERING food. For the food, it was your typical hash browns and eggs. I got the stuffed hashbrowns, supposedly with sausage but there wasn't any unfortunately. Coffee for a diner type was good. The waffles are good but 12 bucks? No way.....very expensive for a waffle. The monte cristo needed more cheese melting over the deli type ham. Was ok, not great. The fruit parfait was actually the best thing we ordered. Service was good, minus the fact she told us it was cash only AFTER we ate our food. The atmosphere was ok, minus the awkward POOPING DOG picture up. All in all, too expensive for the food received. Our bill for the food posted minus a cup of coffee was $65.

Breakfast review only. I have had the pleasure of dining at Sunnyside several times. Very good pancakes and French toast. Excellent thick cut bacon. The omelets are pretty good as well. The bread is freshly baked in house and cut thick. With that said they only serve one slice of toast with their omelets which is a little stingy. How about 2 slices? The space is very casual with a farmhouse vibe. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. Sunnyside remains as my go to breakfast spot when in Boyne City.

I love when I find my version of a five star restaurant. We had brunch today at Sunnyside in Boyne City. Our first time and it won't be our last. It was so good. I hadn't had a Monte Cristo in so long. It was huge. And the hash browns were to perfection. My husband had their version of pigs in a blanket. It was all worth the wait. We will be back.

Build Your Own Omelette with Rye Bread

We stopped in this morning at 8am for an early breakfast before going back to ski at Boyne. Our server Nick was super friendly! We ordered a basic breakfast and build your own omelette. Both were very good! We liked the homemade bread!! We asked about the breakfast special and it was a waffle with vanilla pudding (almost like a donut taste!) We didn't order one but since they were taking a pic of one for their social media (I'm guessing) Nick gave it to us to try. We thought that was very thoughtful! Good food, quirky decor, and nice staff. We'll definitely go back next time we are in town.

Just had my fourth breakfast meal here in two weeks time. Today was just as good as the past three. That shows consistent quality. These are real people serving real food we all love! Spoke with Kirk one of the owners today, and he is what you want a restaurant owner to be, Involved and caring! I am afraid to make this place the go to spot for b'fast whether you live in Charlevoix, Petoskey, or Boyne, but it is THE SPOT if you want great quality food and service. Order a Bloody Mary if you had a rough night... Thank you Kirk, see you all soon...

The food is consistently incredible, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is one of my favorite parts....especially being right on the water in downtown Boyne City. It feels elevated without ever feeling stuffy, which makes it just as perfect for a casual breakfast as it is for a special brunch. The Vienna pancakes are AMAZING, the brunch menu has so many great options, and I genuinely have a hard time convincing myself to order something different because I already have so many favorites. This is one of those restaurants I recommend without hesitation anytime someone asks me where to eat in Boyne City. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

I'll be honest I've never had a Chicken Marsala before (NOT Masala if you missed that "r" in there too). It turned out to be an interesting one for me. Good balance of sweet and sour against the creaminess and the earthy fragrance of the mushrooms. The chicken breast was very tender. The broccoli, though, was tough to chew, and the fettuccine was a bit bland for my taste. I wish the pasta had caught more of the sauce. The Sweet & Spicy pizza was the highlight. Our server told us the wood-fired pizzas are their biggest hit, and I see why. Every bite brought a different note of heat and sweetness. Highly recommend. We also had the Sangria Blanc and the escargot, neither of which was very memorable. The escargot didn't taste like much beyond garlic butter, though that butter turned out to be a great excuse to work through the free bread.

Happy St. Patrick's Day !…read more Went out for an early lunch today - hubby had their corned beef sandwich, he said it was fantastic, meat was very tender and it was really stacked on there. Large sandwich - he brought 1/2 home it was so big, unusual for him to bring food home, but they give you a lot, came with fries and he said they were also great. I had a pineapple/red onion Pizza - delicious as always, Carl makes a super pizza - nice, mild homemade sauce on the pizza, big chunks of pineapple and red onions are sweet, not strong. Cooked to perfection, their pizzas are 14" (I think, might be 12", I've forgotten as I don't look at menu when I want pizza, just order my usual) I usually eat 3 pieces and bring home 3, today I ate 4 pieces, it was just so good, probably could have eaten the rest, but saved it for a snack tonight. If you want a non-alcoholic drink, they have the BEST Rootbeer around! Our server (I'm sorry I've forgotten your name), your green tutu is adorable. It was warm, delicious, very tasty , a bit spicy and served on a really good soft bun with crispy edges. Perfectly cooked the sandwiches are served with orange slices , which is a nice break from chips or fries ! They have numerous coffe and matcha drinks hotv& cold. I tried the cold match blackberry lemonade and it was good and my hubby had the matcha raspberry latte and he really liked his. You know it's a great place when you unexpectedly run into the bride eating there the morning after her wedding!!! The only thing keeping me from giving this restaurant 5 stars ( because the food quality IS there !) is the bathroom situation. There's a very tiny sing men's and women's with a sink to wash hands inbetween. I didn't mind the " closet bathroom stall - I minded the dirty floor and the fact that when I went to wash my hands in the shared sink outside the stall in between the bathrooms , barely any soap dispenses! I went under 4 x just to get enough soap to get the buffalo sauce off of my hands. This is concerning because it makes you wonder if the cooks are bothering to try to get any soap on their hands ?! . Because the place was populated (but not crowded) and my order was simple (a matcha and cranberry chicken salad) Filling my order was a lay-up. The drink came in a timely fashion but my sandwich was nowhere to be found. Add to that I was sitting in the very visible window seat, by myself...a fact made more obvious by the fact that no one was near me and I'm a black dude in a very white restaurant (basically making me even more obvious). Now to be clear: I DO NOT think this was racially motivated, I DO think , however, it was due to inattentive staff. Personally I'm also not a fan of having to go get my food when they call my name, ESPECIALLY if the drink and the food come out at different times. Too much up and down for me. Cute place but I was disappointed...which bums me out because I really WANTED to like this place. This will probably be my only time here (as I am just passing through) and, sadly, this was the impression I was left with.
