Hardest review I have ever written. We were thrilled to try this place, and horribly let down by the experience, specifically by the server. The good - the atmosphere is great, the vibe pretty accurately replicating a French bistro. The food (what we did get) was good. Steak frites was awesome. The bad - never has a server failed so miserably. How? 1. Brought the wrong wine, then lied by insisting the house red was in fact a Côtes du Rhône. 2. Forgot two soups, delivered our entrees, said the soups were "coming" and reported "almost here" when we were half done with dinner. 3. Wrong dressing delivered on the salad, then delivered a different dressing with the request for extra. 4. The topper - the manager's comp dessert was either wrong or the pastry chef has never seen a real Basque Cheesecake. The manager was appreciative for the feedback, but the "fix" was to not make us pay for the wine that was wrong or the soup that never came. Not exactly the experience that will make us rush back. I know that staffing "up north" is tough, but this place was full of servers who appeared well in control and efficient. We drew the very short straw. Eat here at your own peril.

4.5 stars restaurant. I like this restaurant due to live music and food. I would recommend come early to get the in line in waitlist is the faster way for the wait. The restaurant is at the lake area with nice view while waiting. You can stroll while waiting. Our wait did not take long. We got a front row seat next to live music stage. We got Steak and Frite. It has hanger steak and the broccolini. It also has some fry. The sauce is very good. Love the food. Experience also good. Service is good.

We came here after checking out the Skybridge at the Boyne Mountain. Had an overall decent experience here with everything. I'll be honest I've never had a Chicken Marsala before (NOT Masala if you missed that "r" in there too). It turned out to be an interesting one for me. Good balance of sweet and sour against the creaminess and the earthy fragrance of the mushrooms. The chicken breast was very tender. The broccoli, though, was tough to chew, and the fettuccine was a bit bland for my taste. I wish the pasta had caught more of the sauce. The Sweet & Spicy pizza was the highlight. Our server told us the wood-fired pizzas are their biggest hit, and I see why. Every bite brought a different note of heat and sweetness. Highly recommend. We also had the Sangria Blanc and the escargot, neither of which was very memorable. The escargot didn't taste like much beyond garlic butter, though that butter turned out to be a great excuse to work through the free bread.

A family favorite! Excellent food and drinks. Wonderful location with a view of Lake Charlevoix.

A friend had recommended this spot a while back and I'm glad I saved it. We were near by visiting the Skybridge and decide to get some dinner. I am so glad we came here. Our server Todd was really great! He answered all our questions and was attentive. It was a Saturday evening when we came in and they have live music. We did have about a 1/2 hour wait, as expected, but it was SO worth it! All of our food was phenomenal! We also ordered two drinks from their long list of non alcoholic options, both of which were very good! I would totally come back if we were in the area again.

Charcuterie Board - nice mix of a medium cheddar, tasty blue and wine soaked goat with meats (the slab on right is ham).

Was excited to go to a nice place and enjoy some good food w friends. The place has a great vibe if you don't look down. There was just food and garbage under literally every table. Not what I would have expected here. We had the French onion soup and charcuterie board and a bottle of Rose. Everything was absolutely delicious. But seriously - sweep your floors. Our server was nice, attentive. Hit the spot but for the price - sweep your floors.

Great food and service! Their menu has something for every appetite. Good not your average pizza. Dinner specials on weeknights.

Do they take reservations?

I'm sorry, but they do not take reservations. During summer weekend evenings, it is best to plan activities where you stop in and get your name on the evening's table list and then Stroll the Streets or find the perfect park bench to enjoy the sun…

Do they have any items on menu that would be good for those diners with a gluten sensitivity? Will be in the area next week and looking for dining options that would suit and be good for my wife and her gluten sensitivity.

Yes, they do. I asked & they just responded they DO have gluten free foods 👍🏼

I was a little concerned that we would be under dressed but we dressed similar to the other patrons. We made a reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. Everything we had was superb. I highly recommend the beet salad, Caesar salad, walleye, shrimp with fettucini, filet of beef, and strawberry shortcake. Nancy Kelly the chef came to our table to check on our experience. She is a super nice lady and I wish her all the best.

Kelly operated the market and ran the former lunchroom. I was very excited to try the restaurant at dinnertime and I was not disappointed. The dining room has maybe 15 tables. Its an attractive room, but dark. You do not come here for the view. While I loathe the term, the best description for the dining room is shabby chic. The menu features an assortment of special cocktails, 4 or 5 appetizers, and 6 or 7 entrees. I am always wary of places with menus that go on page after page. So I was okay with the smaller menu. They have a full bar. At my table we ordered a shrimp appetizer, that was paired with burrata, watermelon and corn. It looked beautiful and the burrata--hard to find up here--was great. We also had the crab cake appetizer which was also served with corn. It was great, with lots of crab. For entrees, I had the duck with a tasty Asian BBQ sauce. The duck breast was cooked just the way I liked it. While duck is not a rarity in the north woods, the pairing with the lighter Asian sauce was a nice touch. Also at the table was a rack of lamb. Frankly, that is what I hope to have next time. I stole a chop and it was out of this world. Tender and well flavored. Seriously, it was some of the finest lamb i have ever had, I only got to steal one chop. For dessert we had a chocolate delice, which was a frozen combination of chocolate and almond cookie. It was also great. I thought the prices were very cheap for fine dining up north. Put this restaurant in downtown Petoskey and each of the entrees would have been ten dollars more--at least. They do take reservations. It really filled up when we were there. I highly recommend you give this joint a try. I also recommend that you park on the side. Backing out onto 31 is not that fun.

Although nothing is explicitly marked as gluten-free on the menu, the service and attention to dietary needs completely made up for it. Our server was exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to go through the entire menu with us, ensuring a safe dining experience. While they do not have gluten-free bread available, the staff made sure that every single dish set down at our table was explicitly announced as gluten-free for me, which gave me immense peace of mind. To drink, I ordered a mocktail called Spoke of Genius that was confirmed to be gluten-free, and it was so good. For my starter, I had the minestrone soup, which was absolutely to die for and a major highlight of the meal. For my main course, I ordered the gluten-free fettuccine with no lamb. It was cooked very well, though it was a bit saltier than my personal preference. They even offer gluten-free desserts, but unfortunately, we were far too full to try them. Overall, it was a fascinating and delicious dining experience with top-notch allergy safety protocols, making it a great way to end the night.
